Submitted By: Mrs Sue TaylorThe restaurant however resembled a works canteen with tables too close to each other and overzealous waiting on staff removing plates as soon as they could. The food quality and selection was poor and tepid (as it is in most Greek hotels). Some nights we had to queue to get into the restaurant! We ended up going into Lindos and eating there.
Lunchtime there was an outdoor restaurant and the food was slightly better. It was impossible to get drunk as the drinks seemed watered down. Indeed, when we went out and had a drink, it caused an immediate effect.
The animation team catered mainly for the Germans, as is usual in Greece.
We understand that next year the hotel is changing to half board and will have two a la carte restaurants outside (hope they get better chefs!)
It was such a shame that the food and drink let the hotel down so badly but on all inclusive it is such an important aspect and this hotel just failed badly to supply it.

Submitted By: Miss B OakesStaff friendly and food was good. The only let down being the entertainment was very poor. We spent 6 nights out of 7 in Lindos town, as there was nothing to do at night and the bar closed early. Ok for those who like early nights but not so ok for those who like to stay up and have a good time. The bar closed about 11pm.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Submitted By: Mrs C WalkerThe hotel was fully booked and busy but we had no problems at all. The staff are friendly, and as it was my husband’s birthday 29th Aug - provided him with a bottle of wine in our room and presented him with a cake - wonderful computer info!!
The food was varied and first class. At the pool bar we even had water on tap, various pops on tap and tea and coffee readily available, ice cream too - bless the all inclusive band!
We intend to return - though rumour has it that they may not be all inclusive next season.
" Fantastic hotel just outside Lindos.... "
Submitted By: Mr S AndrewsFood plenty of choice to a very high standard. Drinks good selection. Pools, beach, clean and safe.
Animation team, well this is what lets it down, untalented and useless. Why do hotels bother with these imbeciles, but don’t let that put you off, you will love this little gem of a hotel like we did - superb.
Taxi into Lindos centre 10 Euros 7 Euros back or you can use sister hotels bar at night closes at 0100 just across road the Lindos star.
Lindos bay bar closes at 2300 on the button, night life very low key. But you get a good night’s sleep. Enjoy.

Submitted By: Mrs T McKerrecherWe knew it was a taxi ride into Lindos every night which is 15euros return 9 out and 6 back the 3euro's extra on way out was a call out charge, we did walk into to Lindos once up the cliff's (goats looking at us strangely) took about 40mins, 2nd time cut through the Lindos Mare and got a bus from the top road 1euro on bus into Lindos, there is two buses a day from Lindos Bay at 9.15am and 4.30pm and one into Rhodes town at 9.30am, waited for the 9.15am bus one day it never shown, there bus services is known as maybe!
All in All it is a great hotel for couples and Families on AI, as we were HB it was easier for us to go into Lindos and eat and drink.
Great Holiday, but I Love going to Lindos

Submitted By: Mrs J McleanThe location is remote, but this was great for us because after midnight there is no noise to keep us or the kids awake. Besides in that heat you will be exhausted by then.
The entertainment was done very well although it had to be translated into 5 different languages! The staff were great, but there’s not much organised for kids between 6 and 11. Still they found friends and didn't get out of the pool all day.
I loved the fact that I didn't cook, wash up or shop for the whole holiday and I think the £2000 was worth every penny and will be recommending it to all my friends. Also it seemed to be quite expensive to eat and drink out. If you need a rest don't go anywhere else.

Submitted By: Mrs K J PayneRooms very roomy and cleaned daily. Excellent holiday again this year, thinking of going back again. Kids loved the pool and the beach, water crystal clear and water sports a short walk along the beach.
Not too many shops unless you want to travel to Lindos which is also beautiful.
" Well what can I say.

This was a superb holiday for the money. The hotel was clean. The food was great and the entertainment was wonderful.
We have a 7 yr old and 20 month old and I have to say that just before we went out I looked at the reviews. I was extremely worried about the last couple of reviews that had only just been entered and all I could think of was what had I let myself and family in for. Well all I can say is we got of the bus looking for anything that may be wrong with the hotel. We were expecting the worst, and I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised.
When we walked through to reception we found it to be lovely. We collected our keys and the excitement started to grow. When we got to our room we found it to be very spacious (and it needed to be with 4 of us). We had a lovely view from the balcony, which gave a slight sea view as well as a panoramic view of the hillside, which surrounded the bay. Now I have to have a little grumble. the floors in the room are carpeted and are not very modern. The bathroom is tiled and there is very little light. My husband found it difficult to have a shave without keeping the bathroom door open for some light from the little hallway into the room. But that really is all that was wrong. The maids were in every day and cleaned the room. The sheets were changed every couple of days and the towels were changed every day. Like I said it isn't the most modern room ever but you get what you pay for. I do recommend you take a travel kettle as you don’t have one in the room.
The food was great. I’m sure I have come home a stone heavier (frightened to check). There is a slight downside to there not being an awful lot for children. Chips are served every couple of nights or so. But there is pasta dishes and vegetables and I’m lucky my children will eat a variety so it wasn’t hard to find them something to eat. My husband kept raving about the food all holiday saying that previous reviewers didn’t have a clue. Don’t get me wrong it is all inclusive food. It is served in batches and it is in trays where you just take what you want but we found it lovely.
There is a bus that leaves every morning and takes you to Lindos or Rhodes. The pools are very clean and the beach is lovely although I would recommend swim shoes for everyone as it is pebbles.
All in a wonderful holiday and if you go with the attitude that it didn’t actually cost a lot compared to other all inclusive you will be very happy with your holiday.

The hotel bar staff and entertainers are extremely courteous and efficient, and as previously mentioned in a previous review work extremely hard. As you look out from the terrace area at the rear of the hotel the view is quite beautiful, and the pool very inviting, however this soon wears thin when you discover the downside.

The food is served, not buffet style but more in a style resembling a factory canteen, large metal trays of "slop" kept warm on a hot plate. This may sound a little harsh but is unfortunately true. The choices available also became very repetitive. We even heard on the grapevine from a fairly trusted source that the hotel had recently failed a food hygiene examination.

The rooms in the hotel although roomy had an odour in the morning - some sort of blowback from the drainage system. To add to this my husband went down to reception early one morning to find two cleaners chasing a very large cockroach around with brooms. Dead cockroaches could also be seen around outside the hotel.

The location of the hotel is pretty remote with the nearest civilisation a five-kilometre taxi ride away. The area is very rocky baron and mountainous so may be a little tricky for the less able. All there is within walking distance is a Taverna and two small shops, a couple of dodgy looking car rental firms and a very skinny donkey in a field!!

Go to Lindos because some areas are stunning, but if staying at the Lindos Bay Hotel allow for the fact that you will be eating out a lot. Just don’t have too high expectations.

the hotel is right on the beach with it's own private beach, so a beautiful location. Lindos is a short taxi ride away, which is ideal, as lindos itself is beautiful, but can be buy with tourists, especially in the day. If you ant a nice secluded location, but with places within easy reach, this place is ideal.
I would recommend this place and we intend to go again.
