If you have seen the video somebody has put on you don’t get a bath, the shutters on the doors are broken and the beds aren’t that fancy. All together the ages of us that went was 19,21,23,27 so we weren’t really up for the night life especially me (19).
The hotel sun loungers are always taken, food is ok rooms are very basic. Make sure you get friendly with the manager, he’s great and you get loads of free drinks but don’t drink his Raki if he offers it to you, it’s horrible, very strong and burns your chest.
Security men walk round and if you are noisy they tell you to go to your room and be quiet. Loads of young idiots move furniture and wake you up in the night. The Thomson rep who we had called Tommy did nothing; he was more interested in the young girls. He was hardly there and by the way; Yes it’s a stupid freestyle hotel.
Even the manager Costas made complaints to Thomson about the stupid freestylers. Very family friendly.

Cocktails and dreams – brilliant
Beach is excellent make sure you go on turtle trip, we got a really good picture of turtles. The have McDonalds, pizza hut and kfc on the strip.
Overall I loved the holiday apart from getting woken up and Thomson’s doing nothing to help you not even the rep asked how you were.

We went as a couple (young) to The President via Thompson and really enjoyed it. There was good mix of people and was a good atmosphere around the pool. Pool and area cleaned each night and was well maintained. The waterfall and music came on at 11am and went off at around 6pm which was ideal.
Room was basic as we expected but spacious and cleaned each afternoon. Any problems we reported (i.e. light out etc) were repaired very quickly!
Beach is 30 second walk away and main strip is a 10-15min walk. The walk is safe and enjoyable as you pass shops bars etc on the way. As a young couple we found it ideal as you could do as little or as much as you want. Good holiday for young groups/ couples of families (safe area and pool safe for children)
Only complaint is that the trips were very expensive (e.g. £28 pp for Greek night and £60 pp for boat trip).
Also quite private pool so many women were sunbathing topless... no problems ...but I heard an older woman moaning she didn’t like it!

President apartments themselves were good for what they were. They were basic but perfect for just using as a base. I would not recommend going self catering with the intention of eating in and cooking yourselves as the cooker was not up to much.
Also, the management were very strict. I went with 4 other girls, none of us rowdy but we were told we were being too noisy coming back to the hotel after our nights out on more than one occasion.
The management were extremely tough on young people staying there and did not make it feel very friendly. However, the food served at the pool bar was really good, even if the drinks were overpriced.
All in all..if you are able to return to your hotel room in silence then this is the perfect place for you. Oh.and don’t even think about taking anyone back to the hotel if they are not part of your group.
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the strip and in the heat a taxi ride is always a good idea.
Laganas itself is brilliant for nights out and I had a great holiday, if you go with freestly make sure you go on the jailbreak bar crawl, it was the best night of my holiday!

Wicked hotel would def recommend it to any young groups. everyone was so friendly, went away with 14 girls and met loads of different people, are faves being the group of 20 Scots ayeee :) lol.
All the reviews that say the hotel is bad is probably all the families, its not a family hotel. its full of young people and I think I only saw one family arrive and they didn’t even come to the pool as it was full of us youngens!
Security isn’t that strict but some nights when you got back early hours of the morning if you were being too quiet he would send you to your room. which felt like being in a boarding school lol. Its not that hard to sneak people in either. We named the security guy Robocop but don’t call him that coz he got very angry and we were threatened to be chucked out a few times. But its all part of the fun.
Its quite a small hotel compared to others I’ve been to and there’s no entertainment. But all in all had a brilliant time, although the strip was a good 10-15 min walk aways!

President apartments are definitely the best place for any group of young people who love to have a good time.
I went as part of an 18 man strong group with an age range of 19-33. We found everybody really welcoming and where thanked by families for giving them poolside entertainment along with making the place have a general atmosphere.
Management are top quality, food brilliant topped off with a two second walk to the beach to watch the sun come up. Brilliant!

President Studios was very good, as long as you don't mind being woken up and seeing hung over people everywhere, you will love it, I went with six other girls and had the best time.
The only thing is the security people are very adamant about certain things, i.e. No-one extra coming home. Also the owners didn’t tend to like us too much and a lot of our items mysteriously got lost every time we had our room cleaned.
The only thing about the resort is the local children, on one of our nights there we had a huge argument with them for stealing one of our phones, they are not the nicest people in the world so just be weary. But seriously Laganas is a good place for clubbing, drinking and all that kind of stuff just don't stay in President if you're families, probably be too near the strip for you.

The superior beautifully made president apartments are gorgeous to look at and brilliant to live in. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and welcoming, and we did not want to leave.
The beach was only 5 minutes away and I have never seen a sea like it, it took my breath away-wow! The staff at the president apartments were wonderful and friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The cocktail bars are close by as are other excellent establishments. Overall we would recommend the president to anyone-great!

I went to Zante 24th Oct 2005 with my family 3 of use , these apartments look ok from out side but there are really dirty and smelly, there not for families there for 18-30 the room we had was that bad that we got moved free of charge.
Kalamaki is a much better for family I recommend the Venus hotel in Kalamaki it a three star but spot on .the president apartment should only be a 2 t at the most the staff are unfriendly and don’t speak much English. Over all the worst place I have ever stayed at.
Don’t go to the president!!!

We went to Laganas as a group of 3 young girls out for a good holiday. When we pulled up to the apartments we were very impressed, the accommodation looked well presented and welcoming. During our stay we found it convenient location wise as it is a very short distance from the beach and a short walk away from all of the amenities. The complex itself offered a wide range of food and drinks of a high standard and the owners were very friendly. The Thomson reps were very helpful and friendly too. I would definitely recommend this resort for young holiday makers who want to enjoy the sun and nightlife but maybe not so much for older couples or families wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday.

We went as a family of 3, be aware that these studios to me are not suitable for families as stated in the Thomson brochure, when sitting out by the pool I counted 36 bottles of beer most of them empty around the pool edge, they were not cleared until another family complained, the danger factor of broken glass on the floor or entering the pool was not considered, it is mainly used by young single groups drinking with no consideration for others. It is very noisy at night when they come back from the clubs. We were told that the studios were once club 18-30. Please be aware that some rooms at these studios have NO balcony and are damp and the residents of these rooms complained continuously to the rep, us being one of these, even though they paid more than people who had balconies, please state when booking if you wish to go to these studios that you have a balcony and make sure it goes down on your list of requirements to avoid disappointment. Ourselves we will not be returning and are in the process of logging a complaint and are contacting ABTA.
