Stayed in Louros Beach hotel in September this year and can't fault the hotel. Pool area lovely, staff helpful esp. Katerina, spa is very relaxing and the hotel gardens are fab! Please note that my rating is of hotel and not the resort. However Zante itself was none to... more

Hotel was nice, breakfast was ok but no space to put your tray down. Gardens were beautiful, pool was nice but went to the beach as it was close by and lovely and you had to grab a bed without a towel on round the pool. Entertainment was good. Drinks were expensive £7... more

This was my first visit to Zante with my boyfriend; both of us are 20 and were looking for somewhere relaxing but with some restaurants, bars, and things to do at night... But nothing too mad! Kalamaki is perfect for young an older couples as the resort caters for both. It... more

First proper review of this hotel for the season and what a hotel, we went out on Tuesday 1st May and returned a week later. To put it straight 7 days was not long enough to do everything we wanted to do. The hotel itself is without a doubt a 5* experience, the layout of... more

What a joy it was to stay here. Excellent presentation and very clean. Staff all bar one were very polite and helpful, make a point of getting to know the domestic staff, they were a joy and a pleasure to meet. The resort of Kalamaki is not the greatest on earth, if you... more

What a hotel. Great hotel, staff, pool and location. Well understated as a 3 star. You could not stay anywhere better in Kalamaki. If you need a good night out go on to the top road. The olive grove is a great restaurant. The best bar by far was coconut Joes. Marie and... more

We will be back
Superb hotel ideal for my family kids aged 4, 2 ,8 month loved looking at the golden girls each morning. Very helpful friendly staff , breakfast perfect to start the day , very comfortable and clean rooms. Cannot praise this hotel enough
Great hotel, shame about the beach!
Just spent a great week at the Louros Beach Hotel which was a lovely, clean, modern hotel with really friendly staff and a good pool and bar. It is very close to the beach but due to the poor quality of the beach we never went on it. The sand is brown and mud like when wet, full of debris and fag buts and generally dirty. Resort is also right at the end of the airport runway so there is significant noise from planes taking off and landing but this was strangely exciting and the flights stop at night so it doesn't keep you awake. Great hotel but If you are a beach person chose one of the resorts further north up the island.
lovely little hotel!!!
haven't long come back from a two week stay at the louros beach hotel and we thought it was lovely....by far the prettiest looking hotel from the outside and the rooms were basic but very clean and airy with a lovely terrace. would definately go there again. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to meet everyones needs. The beach is very close but was quite dirty when we got there as was beginning of the season (2nd-16th May), so if you are going to zante i would suggest going a little later as there's not much happening then either! All in all i would give louros beach hotel 9/10. It was lovely and the gardens were absolutely fabulous and a good reason to choose louros over any other!!
Nice hotel, friendly staff
Just got back from one week at Louros Beach hotel, nice little hotel in nice grounds, the gardens are lovely, the rooms are clean and not as basic as most greek rooms. We travelled with a group so there were four rooms to review, the small twin was a little snug with concrete beds. The room for two adults and a small child was a little cramped for three. The room for two had four beds and an armchair, so a little too much furniture! and the room we had was a one bedroomed room which was fab, lots of room and a double bed and two twin beds in the living room and two settees, so personaly I have no complaints about the room itself. We requested a cot and it was broken and not the cleanest mattress, so if you are taking a small child take your own travel cot, its worth the extra luggage. They only change the towels once a week which isnt good, but if you speak to Rita on reception she will change them without argument. Most of the bathrooms flood but then that is a bit of a greek thing! (I dont think they have plumbers!) The airconditioning is fab we couldnt of lasted without it. The hotel bar was great we were there every evening and the drinks are reasonable (british prices), the entertainment evenings are good especially Elvis! The food isnt bad for lunch time, they use mcain chips and Heinz beans! The pool is only small and they dont have enough sunbeds, so there are towels down very early in the morning. We used the pool next door (Golden Sun) which is lovely and there were always lots of beds, also if you are taking small children the pool at Louros is very deep and there is no shallow end, so you will definately need to use the pool next door. Its only a 3 minute walk to the beach, and its not the nicest beach I have been to but if you can avoid the fag dimps then there is a lovely breeze and the sea is shallow for quite a distance so its great for kids. The planes really are a novelty and they dont fly too early and they dont fly after dark so we had no complaints there. There are some lovely restaurants in Kalamaki, we loved the Olive Tree as the kids menu was nice and they loved kids (some restaurants clearly dont!), one tip, seriously avoid the Pandesia (I think thats how you spell it, really large restaurant on the left hand side down some steps) it was gross!
Excellent hotel, however noise by planes
This is a very nice hotel, lovely situated, in a nice and calm area of Kalamaki. The rooms were excellent. However, the airport is very close, and planes are flying over any time of day, which does cause a huge noise. The breakfast is rather simple. We would still recommend it, but in rather quiet tourist times - end of season for example, when there are less planes flying over.
The best hotel in Kalamaki by far!
I stayed at the Louros Beach hotel with a mate for the first two weeks in August. It is very close to the beach (which is the best beach of all the main resorts on Zante). It is ideal if you want to relax and chill out whilst still being a short ride from Laganos if you want a more lively night out. The hotel is very clean and the pool is really good. The bar is quite quiet but ideal for a few relaxed beers. The staff are helpful and friendly and there is always someone around to help. Please pass my regards onto Rita if you do decide to visit. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are cleaned daily. The bar food is simple but is generally pretty good and would recomend the sausage roll. All in all a great place to stay if you are arranging a trip to Zante!
Also just returned
Have just come back from Louros Beach,it was our 6 time there now, lovely hotel, especially for couples, much smaller and homelier than most of the bigger ones. Wonderful settings especially the beautiful garden which is lovingly cared for by Kostas,it's a really nice family run hotel and they really look after you. We have just celebrated my birthday and 25th Wedding Anniversary there and what a wonderful time we had. Tha Staff are really the best Nikos, the owner,Rita,Ellie,Go-Go-Katerina,Kristof,Kostas,They have entertainment nights not to be missed especially "Elvis" I have been back not quite 24 hours and i am already looking for flights to go back in September.
Home from home - how true
I have just returned from a fantastic 2 week at louros beach and wish I was still there. The hotel is superb and the best hotel I have stayed in, and I have stayed in many. The gardens are incredible, the staff lovely, rooms spacious and very clean and all the staff are fantastic, it really goes with the home from home on their advert! This is one place where I will def be going back! Even though not many children were staying, my daughter, who is 7 loved it, especially the 'golden girl turtles'. Am sure if you are reading this and planning to go you will not be dissapointed. One more thing, many restaurants in kalimaki but the best one for greek authentic food, fab staff at good prices was HERA. On main road going into kalimaki (from hotel) on the right hand side. ENJOY
Fabulous Hotel
Just returned from Louros beach, Zakynthos. an amazing smallish hotel with amazing ambience, cleanliness, brilliant staff who have one concern which is to ensure a brilliant holiday, lead by the proud owner Nichos and his family. From the moment of arrival to the time of departure it is really "home away from home" as the brochure states. The food is brilliant and reasonably priced. There was entertainment (twice from 16th May to 30th May 2005). Breakfast (buffet) is taken in a beautiful Atrium or a choice of the sunlit open terrace. This is also good quality and a brilliant start to the day whether touring this beautiful island or relaxing by the Pool, with Jacuzzi. The carefully attended gardens have to be seen to be appreciated and there is also a small play area for children with swings, slide etc. We will definitely visit again as many guests whom we met were regulars at the Louros. This hotel could not be faulted in any way. WELL DONE and a brilliant holiday !!
Great Staff
4th vist to Louros Beach in about 10 years Very caring staff, real nice hotel, very clean comfortable and a good place to use as a base to visit the rest of the island, no problems with food or drink, all good quality and value, entertaiment varied but someting most nights. I have recommended this hotel to several friends who have also been very pleased with the overall holiday there.
