Terrible hotel

- Advice: Local transport is non-existent. It takes two buses and a boat to get to Venice. What are they thinking of?

The hotel is in a lovely location...

The hotel is in a lovely location right on the beach of this lively resort. The rooms are clean and tidy and the hotel owners (brother and sister) are very friendly - nothing is too much trouble. We visited the hotel for a long weekend in May and returned to the same hotel in August.

The hotel is in a lovely position on a beautiful beach. The owners are very friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean.
We loved it so much we are going again this month taking family members with us.
I can't recommend this hotel enough :)

To start with the one good point; Staff here work very hard, and very long hours, and are generally helpful.
Now, the bad points:
The room was TINY, sparsely furnished with cheap, chipped, white melanine fixtures, had no kettle, no fridge, no water.
The was no room service, and no food on sale after 9.00 p.m. Breakfast ran for only 2 hours, and dinner for only 45 minutes.
Every morning, the air-con was turned off to encourage people to leave their rooms so that cleaning could take place. It felt like a 50's holiday camp - run for the benefit of the staff, not the guests.
There was no tour desk, almost no information about local events/excursions, and nothing in English.
There were no towels at the swimming pool - we were told to buy our own.
The shower took ages to get warm - it NEVER got hot
There were not enough sunbeds, and many were rented out to non-guests, leaving nowhere to sit of sunbathe without there being a scrummage for sunbeds.
Sheets were only changed once during our 12 day stay
There was no wifi in the rooms - we had to use the public area, which was often occupied by diners
All-in-all, a very unsatisfactory experience. I have stayed in better 2 star hotels than this (even in Venice) so it does not deserve its 3 star rating,.
