just got back today from 12 days at the koc sun had a great time there nothing was ever to much bother for the staff .if you have a problem just ask . we booked on a late deal and had 12 great days there the beach is about 10 mins away (calis) and the main strip is wounderfull loads of shops bars and food (if you go i would definatley recomend going down to watch the sunset at the beach they are spectacular).we went to calis market twice (3 min walk from the hotel on sundays ) and also went to fetiye market once (dolmus 1.5 lira) i was amazed love the turkish markets and loved the country and sun . we only had time for the one trip we did the 12 islands tour, and once again i was impressed(its realy only a few islands but i think the area is called 12 islands ). oh if you dont fancy a dolmus theres also a water taxi from calis just 5 lira runs every half hr . food was great always something to eat mixture of turkish and euro foods so theres always something for everyone . rooms where cleaned every day if you needed towels you left them on the floor and new ones provided every day. bar was great to (we went all inclusive) and beer was cold and soft drinks where available all day . pool was spotless (im a big swimmer ( spend a lot of time in pools and sea). the bathrooms have just been refurbed and loads of hot water all the time dont know why this place has so may bad reviews i had a great time there and am already thinking of going back .loved it to all th staff there thank you for making my first stay in turkey a happy and memorable one .

We have just got back from here and the hotel was horrible and the staff very rude.The rooms were clean,pool area clean but no children's pool or indoor pool as stated on the teletext website.Wires poking out of walls in rooms.When we arrived they didn't have a room for us so we had to stay in one of the appartments instead.We were told we would be here for 2 days and one morning on our way on a boat trip,we were asked to move.Obviously we couldn't as we were going out.The receptionist didn't seem very happy.We asked if she had people moving in there and she said no but the room was more expensive than the one we had originally booked and we would need to be charged!Once back from the trip we asked her if she wanted us to move to which she replied that she didn't have a room for us!Very confusing.There were no reps here,no welcome package and no information at all really,Had to ask regarding all inclusive drinks etc. Food was awful.No cereal or toast for breakfast it was bolied eggs and salad.Dinner and tea were rice or pasta and very repetative.No snacks available throughout the day only dry cakes at 5pm.Bar service was terrible.Staff concentrating more on their phones than service.A beer came in a half pint glass which was half beer and half froth.Ice was limited per person,weren't allowed too much.Manager had told all bar staff not to smile or talk to customers and that they were there to serve and that's all.They turned lights off in the bar at around 9pm even though it was open til 12.No lights outside at all and very hard to see anything.We all had the impression that they didn't want anyone staying in the bar of an evening as they made it very hard for us and very unwelcoming.Had to sign a book everytime you wanted to get a drink with date and exact time.No more than 2 drinks each so each individual had to go up if you were sat in a group.We just couldn't believe how staff behaved.Evertime we complained about them turning the lights back on or music round the pool the staff said it was a problem with their manager.Got told off for wearing t-shirts in the pool(to cover sunburn)When asked why they told us that the t-shirt released acids or something into the pool and yet there was a man in there the next day with tracksuit bottoms on!!Receptionist seemed very nice when we first arrived but would often stand round the pool with her arms folded looking very miserable.Got the feeling they didn't want us staying there or having fun in the pool.We went on an all inclusive basis and had to go out to get decent meals and resorted to buying our own drinks because all the vodka and the raki ,as that's all you were allowed spirits wise,seemed watered down.We had very little spends and spent a fortune eating out.Very disappointing but a nice area and plenty of nice places to eat.

I booked this holiday before I read all the bad reviews and was prepared fo the worst.
Considering that we had only paid around £200 each for 2 weeks it was actually quite good value for money.
This is a very turkish hotel & the sheets are washed in a bucket in the yard by an old lady. There is only one maid for cleaning the whole hotel, one receptionist, one chef and 3 bar staff who seem to work 24 hours a day. There was no entertainment as advertised.
However considering this we did have a nice time. The rooms were clean, only once had to ask for more towels, food was traditional turkish and the pool and grounds were also clean. Drinks were small but it was AI so you could keep ordering more. Food was buffet syle and only available during meal times but was reasonable.
If you are looking to eat the same as you do at home, be entertained and waited on then this is not the hotel for you. However if you need a very basic cheap base with a bit of food and drink included and you intend to spend your days out and about seeing turkey then you could have a nice time here. I am one of the people who did.

All inclusive a joke. Bought all food and drinks out. No choice fab if u like mince cooked fifty differant ways!!.

i went to that hotel and it was something like 350 gbp from english company i dont know why all these people complain about the hotel for that money what were they waiting for owner is hote is not my fathers son but i can say that for the money that they payed its too much i payed that much money inc. whit flight from england if they want to have 5 star complex they ca pay 3500 gbp and complaın about the hotel im ilike the hotel for the money that i payed even i was spending more in my home i had 1 week sea sun and sand for nearly free of charge

Do NOT book this hotel, it is definitely your worst nightmare 3*, no chance more like minus 3*. I wish i had read the reviews before booking. as i would not have booked this hotel in a million years. Believe everything bad you read in the reviews prior to this one as they are all true.
The hotel was very dirty, our room had not been cleaned before we arrived, and the bathroom shelf and mirror were thick with grime, hand towels in place of bath towels and the shower curtain was stained at the bottom on top of this the toilet leaked all week and nothing was done about it. The staff were very rude and surly, this continued throughout the week, they spoke to you if they felt like, other than this they grunted. If you complained they pretended not to understand, yet they were speaking english on ocassion when it suited them. The All INCLUSIVE deal was rubbish and non existant. The food provided was recycled up to at least 3 meals as there wasn't enough people eating in the hotel to use it up, the only thing that was fresh was the bread in the morning, even the cake at 5pm daily was recycled over 3 days running. The restaurant, bar were all one location i.e. in a sort of conservatory off the pool. The bar only offered lager, raki, vodka or wine, all the spirit bottles on the shelves were empty and dusty and looked old if you asked for any other drinks. they were not available. The pool side was rarely cleaned and very dangerous as the plastic filters around the pool was broken and had gaps we even saw a rat in the pool shower tray one evening. The hotel laundry was done at the back of the hotel in two big wash bowls using a paddle and a hose pipe. The only good side was out of the hotel and in the resort of Chalis itself which was very nice, the people were friendly and the turkish food outside the hotel was excellent.

DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT A NICE TURKEY HOLIDAY .WE HAVE BEEN TO TURKEY BEFORE BUT IF YOU GO HERE YOU WILL NEVER CONSIDER GOING TO THIS COUNTRY AGAIN.THIS IS VERY DIRTY,UNFRIENDLEY,FOOD IS NOT FIT FOR MY PET DOGS,LINEN CHANGED ONCE IN 15 NIGHTS ,VERY UNSAFE POOL MORE SO IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN WE WERE A PARTY OF 9 WITH A MIXED AGE FROM 1 TO 60 NONE COULD EAT THESE SLOPS THEY CALL FOOD, THE CONDITION OF THE ROOMS IF WE WERE PIGS WOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE R.S.P.C.A. THE MANAGMENT PROMISE BUT END UP DOING NOTHING.WE WENT ALL INCLUSIVE ,AND TOOK MONEY TO SEE SOME GREAT PLACES IN TURKEY BUT SPENT ALL OUR MONEY ON EATING OUT.(SOME NICE PLACES TO EAT IN THE AREA)BUT NOT IN THIS HOTEL NO ENTERTAINMENT ONLY IF YOU INCLUDE THE LONG FACES OF THE BAR STAFF ,WHEN YOU ASK FOR A DRINK WHILST THEY ARE TEXING ON THERE MOBILES.EVEN YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE USE OF THE POOL TABLE ETC NO ICE CREAM FREE OR FOR SALE NO BOTTLED WATER FREE OR TO BUY .I THINK ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY ,MAYBE NOT MUCH (bUT THERE CHOICE) THEY DO NOT WANT YOU IN THE HOTEL AS THEY WILL MAKE MORE (THINK ABOUT IT) NO FREE DRINKS TO GIVE NOT AS MUCH FOOD TO COOK?? .YOU MAY THINK IT WAS JUST OUR PARTY WHO HAD A BAD TIME .ALL I SAY IS DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BOOK INTO THIS PLACE ,BUT DO NOT BE PUT OF GOING TO TURKEY AS IT HAS SOME GREAT PLACES
TO GO TO .DONT RISK IT DONT SPOIL YOUR HOLIDAY ,MORE SO DONT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR MONEY OTHER PLACES DESERVE IT ,BUT DONT BE PUT OFF TURKEY .
GREAT HOTEL IF YOU DONT WANT TO EAT ,DONT WANT A DRINK ,DONT WANT A WASH (NO HOT WATER FOR 9 DAYS ) ETC,ETC,ETC,WE HAVE JUST TRYED TO BE HONEST TO HELP FELLOW TRAVELLERS,GOOD POINTS NICE BANANA TREES ,AND THE EXIT.!!!!

this is the most disgusting hotel, i have ever been to in the 15years of going to turkey. i booked a/i and was told it was not a/i except for drinks. the electricity box fell of the wall and it was celotaped back on by manager.FOOD DISGUSTING, the whole place was filthy. my friends and i stayed 1 night complained the next morning and was told to be quiet because the rep had a headache. filled in a complaints form and booked in the PELIN HOTEL which was fantastic.it cost us to book in ,but it was GREAT. PLEASE TAKE NOTE-DONT GO KOCSUN HOTEL. ITS A HOTEL FROM HELLLLLLLLLLL.ITS DIRTY FILTHY AND THE STAFF ARE VERYYYY RUDE. AND WE WOULD LIKE TO BE REFUNDED.?I ALSO WILL BE GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE HOLIDAYS FROM HELL PROGRAM. {SHAME ON YOU FOR MAKING IT SOUND SO GOOD}

This hotel was to a very poor standard we arrived early morning to find that our rooms was not ready so we sat for 3.5hrs in the heat and when we finally got our rooms we had lots of complaints air con not working leaking toilets bare wires not cleaned very well very basic rooms.we never got clean towels or bedding all week.the food was turkish all week no choice and never enough for every body personaly i found it very hard to eat any of it the beer was crap and very limited choice the staff did not wont to serve us and most un helpfull the whole place was declapedated and run dawn.overall crap.

Arriving at 5am to a very poor lit hotel, we had to wait 5 hrs for our rooms to be ready. No food or drinks were supplied, when rooms available they were dirty and we had to fetch cleaner back to re-do before we could accept. Health and Safety did not exist, the walkways were marble and always wet so many guests tumbled during their holiday including three of our party. No choice of menu, food was unedible on certain days and no alternative provided(this is on a fully inclusive holiday). No entertainment at all although advertised as provided. Pool closed at 7pm and never cleaned only chemicals put in each day. Staff very ignorant and unhelpful.
To go to this hotel you take a very good chance of getting upset stomachs as even in the bar there is no steriliser for glasses used and all were cleaned in cold water. In fact whilst we were there the staff had to constantly collect glasses to serve customers as not enough for guests staying.
This hotel does not deserve the 3* award it has and should be inspected by holiday companies before advertising as does not keep true to descriptions .
