Sayed her 8 times in last 13 years by jackspud
10 / 10

as i have stayed in this hotel 8 times now, with 3 of the says for 3 weeks. i know this place inside and out and know alot of the staff as they have worked here for years. firstly the rooms had not changed since the first time i stayed here back in 1995, i am writing this in one now, but all this is set to change everyroom is having a full strip out and refurb, they are repainting, new furniture, beds, bathrooms everything and they look fantastic, i have had a tour of one, and i will be back in 2010 to see the final result when they have all been finished.don't worry if you have a holiday booked in the next few months your never hear any noise and see any mess. this is an excellent hotal for postion is smack bang in the middle of everything and the I4 freeway just outside the back entrance to take you to disney, at the front entrance universal and wet and wild are to you left 10 mins away and to your right seaworld is 10 mins away, so what more do you want. if you want a good value meal go across the road to Cici's pizza feed a family of five for $25 and all you can eat, you must try the chocolate brownies (ace). if you want good value shopping walmart is a must 2 super centres close by one less then 10 mins away out the back entrance down turkey lake road, the other going the other way on the corner of sanford road/john young parkway, you will not buy anything cheaper then walmart and they sell everything yes everything even car tyres of the shelf!, i have spent over $2500 this time, i was lucky and hit the thanksgiving sales and bought a new tomtom sat nav for £49 yes £49 top of the range, well as you can see i like the place and i must admit i will never go to europe again the only place to travel is the USA it realy does have everything, and if you try it once as the govener always says (i will be back) have a great holiday

  • Holiday details: Dec 2009, Room Only, booked with Virgin

Okay to put your head down! by Bradford gang
3 / 10

Firstly the hotel staff were excellent and polite, not over keen with the attraction ticket sellers though that were situated in the lobby. (Could be a little more helpful and realize that visitors are not as knowledgeable as they are, so a little patience wouldn't go a miss) The rooms were very dated and pretty basic, although they have two double beds they are not ideal for more than two adults sharing a room. Despite the maid visiting every day the room certainly lacked a deep clean. The only other disappointment is that they were too quick to close the pools when a storm was approaching and they were very, very slow to reopen them once it had passed. All that said the location was great, the beds were clean and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"..............

  • Activities: Chilies, situated on I Dv/Carrier Dv is one of the best places to eat.

Amazing experience by young knowlege
8 / 10

We stayed at the Quality inn international for 2 weeks from April 27th 2009. Firslty the hotel itself was clean, convenient and comfortable, not the most luxurious of hotels but at the price paid it meets most needs of people staying to visit the theme parks and attractions in central florida. In terms of the location, this is one of the best points about it, right in the middle of international drive where there is sooo much to do.

Reception were very helpful and freindly, hotel shop was fine, if a bit more exprenive than walgreens across the road, the hotel resteraunt was ok, but there are many better resteraunts on international drive. The universal sales rep at the hotel was a brilliant feature. For any first time traveller, they were great at organising the transport shuttles, telling us how much busier it would be at the weekend etc.

Transport shuttle wise, only took about 20-25 mins to get to universal, aquatica and seaworld. Disney is a bit harder to get to, took about an hour on the $16 shuttle and is slightly longer when you catch the i.ride and then the lynx bus. Wet n wild is about 3-4 i ride stops up the road or you can walk it.

The best point about when we travelled, was as it being term time in america, over the whole 2 weeks the longest que we were in was 40 minutes, so it was great, the rep said the week before, ques the week before were at times reaching 3 hours for certain rides.

Universal, amazing, so much to see, would reccomend the mummy rollercoater, so well themed, twister- just so realistic, the hulk rollercoaster, purely just amazing.

Bush gardens, useing the shuttle takes about 75 minutes to get to and again is just amazing.

Disney, did all four parks and found them all to be great. Something we didnt know about until we were there though, space mountain is closed until winter 2009. Found epcot amazing, all the different theamed countries.

Seaworld, amazing -shamu,

Aquatica, a great waterpark, more child orientated than wet n wild

Wet n wild, some seroiusly great water rides.

Kenndedy space centre, before i wasnt too much into space, but i found out soo much from visiting there. WE had the ultimate package, highly recommended, had lunch with an astronaught, had out pictures taken with him as well, got to see the site 'up close', a great experience.

One evening we went up to universal citywalk and saw a film, really great atmosphere up there at night and quite a few nice resteraunts.

Food wise, we ate twice at the TGI fridays next to the walgreens and found it to be great food with a nice atmosphhere.

Shopping wise we did prime outlets and premium outlets, personally we thought prime outlets was bigger and better, but both still amazing on choice and price.

Only issues were at the hotel there wasnt actually a thomas cook rep so support from them was poor in resort. All in all though an amazing holiday, we flew with virgin, couldnt fault it, so many great experiences while we were out there and was just amazing really.

If you're British and perfectly at... by C Rimmer

If you're British and perfectly at home sitting outside your motel room in your nightwear chain-smoking, then this is the motel for you. Don't forget to bring your range of football shirts so that you fit in with the masses.

At $60 per room per night, this motel does what it says on the tin. If you're after a cheap break, then its a very basic base and well located for fast food outlets including Denny's and McDonalds.

It's within walking distance of Wet 'n' Wild. The I-ride trolley bus stops right outside.

It's a reasonably clean motel with basic facilities. The furnishings are peeling melamine and very much overdue for a refurbishment, the carpets needed a good clean too.

The pool was always full of school age children - even though it was the 3rd week in September when we stayed there!

We were woken late every night by very loud people walking past our room with no regard whatsoever for anyone else's comfort.

We were supposed to stay for a week, but after three sleepless nights we spoke to our rep and paid for an upgrade to be moved elsewhere.

We stayed here in 2006 and LOVED it.... by J Kent
9 / 10

We stayed here in 2006 and LOVED it. The room was large, air conditioned and spotless, it may have been a little dated but you don't got to Orlando to look at wallpaper. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the restaurant was great for a quick breakfast or dinner on busy days. Going back there again this summer!!

this motel is ok for some where to put your head, the staff on the front desk are not very helpfull, when you do find your room do,not expect much they are cleaned every day (well sort of do,nt look under things) you get clean towels ,but no wardrbe the sink is where you make coffee ,our tv did not work properly but they did come out to fix it twice.we had to pay extra for a put up bed as the double beds are small the breakfasts are good and staff in their very friendly . our room was at the far end carpark side and by the main road which was very noisy . the rooms need updating the resturant next door is very expensive and you get nothing but jacks up the road is good

My Wife, Son and I stayed for 2 weeks, all I can say is this is a great Motel, it does exactly what it says. Room very clean and cleaned every day, nice restaurant and bar, front desk staff very friendly and helpful, stay away from, 2 heated pools brilliant, walking distance to loads of restaurants and bars. Free shuttle to Universal not very clean poor bus, taxi is only $6 cheep as chips. The iHop across the road is brilliant. Its easy take the iRide bus from stop 15 to stop 34/33 and get the link bus 50 to Disney, takes about 45mins.

Lovely hotel with quiet clean pools -... by A Sawyer
7 / 10

Lovely hotel with quiet clean pools - loads of clean towels. I spent two weeks here with my 11 year old daughter and did not hire a car but used the I Ride without any problems - this hotel is within walking distance of loads of attractions and is in the middle of I Drive.

Would recommend to anyone. I Ride stops right outside the hotel and lots of lovely places to eat nearby including Denny's which my daughter adored. Walking distance to Wet N Wild - if you do visit then be sure to try Sleuths Murder Mystery Dinner Show - this was my favourite place out of every attraction visited!

The Hotel was good as it wasn’t... by CM Mortimer

The Hotel was good as it wasn’t just rooms it was separate apartments.

These contained two double beds, a shower, bath, toilet, fridge, iron, storage, and air conditioning. The safe didn’t look very safe so was worried about leaving money in there. But was ok didn’t get broken into. Our key didn’t fit very well in to it.

The hotel had a couple of shops, three pools, al laundry room and was on the international drive. It was very close to lots of restaurants and shops.

All in all it was a very good experience.

Very poor, horrible room, very old,... by J Becket
3 / 10

Very poor, horrible room, very old, very out of date. Staff were not very polite on front desk but lovely in the restaurant. Not at all what I was expecting very disappointed.

Still have to drive to all big restaurants and parks from the hotel.

I would say it’s not value for money, it needs to be decorated, and all furniture renewed ASAP!

Went to Orlando last year had a... by KA O'Connor

Went to Orlando last year had a fantastic time, so when we came home we booked again for this year, staying at the same hotel (Quality Inn International Drive ) and travelling with Thomson's again.

Had no delays with flight and having TV screens on the back of each seat was fantastic for all the family.

We decided to stay at the same hotel as we couldn’t fault it. Before we went last year I had read the reviews from this website and was a bit worried about being next to the World's Largest McDonalds! But you would never know. It came in handy when we arrived back late at night and were peckish.

The hotel is brilliantly located in International Drive, everything is within walking distance, restaurants, shops, and Walgreens (pharmacy). The I Ride passes outside the hotel which was easy to get about on.

Our room was on the second floor and was a quiet location. Underneath on the ground floor was ice machines, vending machines and the laundry so didn’t have far to travel!

The pool was cleaned everyday and clean towels stocked up. The hotel shop was brill in the mornings and last thing at night getting my lattes, there is a cash machine, internet access.

The bar had a good friendly atmosphere. All the hotel staff were really friendly even the cleaner couldn’t do enough for us. Everyone was so helpful.

We didn’t spend much time in our rooms, but they were clean and comfortable with all facilities. Shopping is brilliant and outlets either end of International Drive.

I have started saving to go back and do it all again in 2009!
