Firstly the hotel staff were excellent and polite, not over keen with the attraction ticket sellers though that were situated in the lobby. (Could be a little more helpful and realize that visitors are not as knowledgeable as they are, so a little patience wouldn't go a... more

We stayed here in 2006 and LOVED it. The room was large, air conditioned and spotless, it may have been a little dated but you don't got to Orlando to look at wallpaper. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the restaurant was great for a quick breakfast or dinner on busy days. Going back there again this summer!!

Lovely hotel with quiet clean pools - loads of clean towels. I spent two weeks here with my 11 year old daughter and did not hire a car but used the I Ride without any problems - this hotel is within walking distance of loads of attractions and is in the middle of I Drive. ... more

Definately A Family Hotel - Expect Nothing More!!
We booked this room as part of a package and were very happy about the $39.00 per noght cost. Since we are both avid travellers, we both had raised eyebrows when we arrived. The lobby and staff need a feww lessons in customer service but overall they were fine. The liitle 24 hours convenience mart was helpful and the scheduled free transport to Universal was a big plus. However - make no mistakes - this is definately a low-cost family hotel. We were on a third-floor corner unit in building two so we did not have to contend with noisy neighbors. It seems every child in Europe was visiting that weekend so there was a substantial amount of noise. But again - family hotel. As for the room, it needed updating . The TV was old but worked. The microwave and fridge were both brand new. The water pressure was fine and drainage was not an issue. The bed linen was not changed daily - a bit of a suprise - but was made up each day around the same time. There was a safe in the room so we were okay with leaving valuables in the room. On our last day, I need to use the telephone. This is where the story turns ugly. Living under and in the telephone were a nest of ants. They did not come out until the telephone was disturbed but when they came out there was a bunch of them. I travel regularly with a can of Raid in my case for such situations so it was a quick matter to settle. I immediately called the front desk to report it and 5 mintues later the 20-something hotel manager was at the door to inspect the damage. They immediately credited my account for 1/2 of my stay and offer to put me into another room. I was on my way to the airport anyhow so it was of little concern. Overall - cheap and convenient but would not stay here again simply becuase of the ants.
Trailer-Trash Paradise
A nice-looking lobby and attractive landscape will greet you. The $49 a night room rate will make the bitter pill you are about to swallow go down a bit easier. The staff was friendly in their "I'll do you a favor and help you" kind of way. There is a restaurant on site that offers mass amounts of bad food. The lounge is small and, well, a little creepy. The room was terrible. It was the worst hotel room I've ever had that I actually stayed in (there was one worse room but I left after 3 hours). Furnishings were dated and in poor condition. The lighting fixtures reminded me of those you might find in Grandmaw's summer cabin. The smell of mold was overwhelming. If you have mild allergy to mold or dust, you will be miserable. The bathroom had mold in every corner, the in-room (warm) refrigerator was moldy, the (broken) microwave even had mold in it. I refused to unpack my clothes and put them in the broken dresser. The TV remote control worked 30 percent of the time, perhaps because it was missing its backplate. The sheets on the lumpy, overused mattress were clean, and there were plenty of pillows. I felt compelled to lift each mattress to check for bugs. Happily, I found none. The entrances to all the rooms were outside. People were hanging out on the walkways, drinking and shouting at each other. There was an empty beer bottle under every bush. There seemed to be a group excursion in from Australia. The Aussies traveled in huddled masses, protecting their children from the Yanks that were drunkenly staggering through the courtyard.
Worst Hotel
This hotel was the worst hotel that I've ever stayed in. First of all when I initially made my reservation I requested to be in a room that did not have a room divider. I even called to confirm that they could meet this request and two different reservation workers confirmed this arrangement could be made. However, when I checked in BAM, I am in a room with a diver. To make matters worse I was told this was the only room they had for the night. The room itself was outdated with Zenith TV s, old dressers, my bathroom door lock had difficulty opening, the room had old blinds, the air conditioner was average at best, and finally the sink needed work done to it. Also note that this hotel only had double beds and they even seemed smaller that most double beds I ve stayed in. Other than this the room was beautiful. Suffice to say, I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for 9 nights, I checked out after 2 and that s only because the other hotels were to booked up for a couple of nights.
Nice Lobby, nesty Rooms
When we first arrived at the hotel, we were impressed by the lobby and could not believe that with the cheap price we pay we get such a nice lobby. Don't be fooled. Once we got into the building, things turned nasty. The room was pink colored and had strange smell. The blanket looked old and was indeed old and had stains on it. Our immediate reaction was to book another hotel. Originally we booked two nights in this hotel and we ended up wasting money and resettling to another hotel near airport. To us, the two hotels were like heaven and earth. When we exited the Quality inn parking lot, we saw a pile of broken refragerators or their parts at the garbage collection place. Later, we had a debate on how many refragerators we saw that day. We indeed came back the next day to count the refragetrators. But they were gone. It remained a mystery but nevertheless intersting topic of our orlando trip.
Not for honeymooners!!!!
Some stupid idiot told us this was a suitable honeymoon hotel, not knowing anything about america, and unable to properly see the picture in the brochure, we booked it and it ruined the start of our holiday. Only stay here if you don't care where you sleep, it is very drab and depressing. We went to the marriott fairfield inn and suites about 2 minutes away, it was actually the same price!! And much better quality, great rooms, lovely and clean, a proper hotel with hallway, not silly walkways outside your door so you can hear everyone walking past and are unable to open your blinds!!
great
well all i would like to say is that all you famillies that have had disappointments with this hotel are obviously in the wrong place. i have been to florida and have stayed at the quality inn 4 times in the last 6 years, and i have not got one complait. this is a family hoilday, with two great family pools. all the staff are very polite. it is in a great place for all the attractions. they is transportation to all the parks available from the front desk at a small charge. if anyone that whats a great holiday then quality inn is for you.
Enjoyable Holiday
We stayed at the Quality Inn in August. We found it clean and the staff were always polite and friendly. It didn't matter whether they were busy or not they always made time to say hello.Admittedly, we did not spend all our time at the hotel, but then who wants to go on holiday and sit in the hotel room all day anyway! My only down comment to the holiday was I wish we had been told how much the Mears bus journey was going to be. It cost my family of 5 $600 to travel to Disney for 10 days. If I had known this then I would have stayed at a hotel with a shuttle service.
Stay only if saving money
My family and I stayed at this Quality Inn 10/16-10/22 and let's just say if you want to have more money to spend on food and in the parks, then stay here. We kept telling ourselves it is just a place to sleep in order to feel comfortable there. The pools are not heated and always cold. We received blood stained towels as well as pillow cases (you would have thought when they cleaned the room they would have noticed it before they left that clean item for you). The shower was gross. Mold all over the place that it shocked me the cleaning crew never noticed any of it. The kids eat free program, well may work for some but it is kind of pricey and you pay just as much out in town at Golden Corral or somewhere similiar. Very limited food selection and nothing they offered even tasted good. Plus you pay for a Coke for your dinner and get no more than what a toddler gets in a sipper cup. Probally even less. For us their resteraunt was a joke and we chose to eat elsewhere and pay for the kids. The bus to Universal and Sea World is always packed with people and for us we had our car and chose that instead of cramming us and the kids in a standing room only situation. Good thing is Universal is very close if that is your destination and Disney and Sea World are right around the corner. So if you have a car drive instead and pay to park. At least for us that's what we did and it was so much nicer. All in all like I started this out .... if you want to save money on a hotel to have more to spend elsewhere this is your place. For me and my family we will save and spend a little more and go back to a Disney property.
Ideal for families
We stayed at the Quality Inn from 3/10 to 9/10. It serves as a good base to explore Orlando, but we would recommend this for couples. The area around the pool is not big enough for you to sit without being splashed and the pools do get very busy with children. The rooms are big enough and have everything you need, however the blinds are rather annoying as they tend not to close properly as another reviewer has stated. It is ideal for those on a lower budget, although we found that the Best Western Plaza up the road was better quality all round at the same price.
An awful place
We checked into the hotel it was bad from the start we were there 4 days that was enough!
