Having read very contradictory reviews of this hotel before travelling, my family were open-minded about what we would receive by way of a holiday. On returning yesterday, we felt that others should be able to read facts, not opinions, about this hotel and make up their own... more

We were v. suprised on arrival to be told that we had to wait for a minibus to take us to our room. We waited 30 mins and then were driven up a v. steep hill to our accomadation. Our room was v. basic, but we had superb views. I could not in all honesty say that this was... more

It was soooooooo gud i really didnt want to come home :(:(
Hi i just got back from my holiday at this hotel this morning (15th July) and i just have to say i really didn't want to come home. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were clean and cleaned daily too. They were spacious and nicely decorated. I could not have asked or imagined anything better as it was good the way it was. As for the food and dining areas they were really impressive. The food was really nice and some of the things were out of this world to be honest. The pizzas were lovley as well as the crepes which I had for breakfast every day i think. We spend most of the time at the beach and the weather was brillant the the whole week we were there. It was quite at the beach and this made it very relaxing. The beach bar was lovley and the barmen there were very friendly and I have his address to send him a picture so he can put up in his bar to remember me and my family. My brother did a lot of the water sports and activities that were there and he enjoyed them all. As for the entertainment I was not impressed but me and my family spent most of the time at the other seperate bar away from the entertainment side. It was much more quieter and the waiters were lovely and also very friendly esp. one ;)(Demetris i think that is how you spell it) But overall our stay was great and very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone 110% as it was a pleasuable stay and lets just say I would defenetly go back even if it is myself or with my friends. Thank you to all the staff for a brillant holiday. xxxxxxx
Truly the Holiday from HELL
What an experience! All the bad reports are true and all I can say is that those who have rated above terrible must have walked around with there eyes shut or been at a different resort!!!!! We spent 10 days out of 14 in the room with severe gastroenteritis, our two year old suffered the worst and lost half a stone in weight. At one point we were even refused more towels for the baby at 2 o'clock in the morning, because the baby was sicking so badly and not to mention the other end. Kids pool filthy, with fungus growing on the tiles, water always murky and cloudy. Large main pool salt water. Drinks were a disaster. Cocktails made from orange squash instead of fresh orange. Only one beer on tap and as for spirits very little selection in internantional brands, but fine if you want local. Reception staff very rude and unhelpful. Anyone old or those with children stay in the hotel part to avoid the cardiac hill! Food was disgusting.
staff very unhelpful after i had an accident in bathroom
me and my family arrived at nirida on 19th june for 2 weeks, the accomadition was not 5* as stipulated in brochure, there was no proffesional entertainment on a evening, although the animators were good.On the second week i slipped in shower the shower pole and curtain came down on top of me i went out of bath head first feet followed and i somersaulted in mid air and landed on my back across toilet,i couldnt move and was screaming in pain,my husband got doctor and was sent to kardamena to pharmacy, for 2 days i couldnt move, hotel wouldnt let my husband bring even a bread roll to the room so i had to pay for room service, the next day i was vomitting and fainted with the pain twice after phoning reception to ask for doctor i was told he will come tomorrow, which he did, when i told him about the day before he was furious as the reception staff didnt tell him i had rang and he was in reception at the time.he then sent me for xray the orthopedic surgeon was convinced i had fractured my spine but after 8 xrays luckily i hadnt, was given crutches which was inpossible as we had lots of steps to get to the restaurant as we were up behind the hotel it took me a full hour to get to restaurant i asked for a cushion to suppor my back and they refused,i have never been so glad to get home in my life, both my kids and my husbands holiday was ruined,i have been in hospital in England and my husband is losing time at work as i cant even dress myself let alone look after the kids,so all in all it was a holiday from hell, medical staff were good ,animators were good but the rest i will let you make up your own mind. One thing is for sure i will not be returning there again.
Great holiday
We came back from holiday in Norida on 24th June 2004. I was there with my two years old daughter and my parents. We had really great time there, it´s a wonderful place - very nice bungalow with planty of space, full minibar, cleaned every day with new towels. The bungalows are at a little hill, but it absolutly doesnot mind. The staff was very friendly, no problem with them. Main restaurant with its meal was great. So many meals, salads, vegetables, pizza, pancakes we didnot know what taste first. Gut meal for my little daughter as well. Many drinks, everything what you want. Beach with umbrellas nice, good that there is a bar too (not crowded, not waiting for drink, very good staff). Animation team great, friendly, they do their job very well, they tried to make you active. One bad thing is we had 2 or 3 days not too good weather (awfull rain) and there is quite strong wind. But Kos, Kardamena and Norida Hotel is absolutly No.1, we really had not any problem (how some previous reviews write, I donot understand them). I recommend this hotel everybody and is very good for family with childrens. Have a good time there.
dont no what everyone was talking about
Norida beach hotel was brilliant. Before i went i had previously looked at this site and took away some tips with me. I found that if you tip the very low paid waiters and cleaner you will find your service improved dramatically not there is very much too complain about in the first place. I found that the drinks were fine and not watered down although on one occation my friend found her drink not to taste so good so we took it back and it was imidiatly changed to meet our needs. The rooms were very nice spacious and cleaned on a regular bacis. So all in all i would recomend this hotel to anyone and therefor the people complaining on this site must have been looking for the problems they found as you do not exect everything to be perfect do you. x x x
i loved norida beach hotel :)
i went to norida beach hotel about 2 years ago, when i was 10 ,with my 2 sisters and my parents.the hotel was lovely and very clean we were also amazed by how much the staff helped you. we were also very glad that the staff said that because there was 5 of us we were to be transferred to a apartment just up a little hill from the hotel. as we went on an all inclusive holiday we got all our meals drinks and snacks in with the cost of our holiday so we ate in the restaurant every meal time. the waitors and restaurant staff were very polite bidding us a good meal and commenting how nice the little girls dresses were. the food was also fantastic and the restaurant was very big there was also an outside place to eat looking out onto the sea. the reps were fantastic aswell booking coaches and taxis for us to go into kardemena town centre. the reps also did a brilliant kids club catering for all ages that included playing water games ,in the very big and clean pool, and games on the beach like rounders, tennis and football. they also did a fantastic disco at night time for all the children and got everybody to join in. after that was a show for the rest of the guests that was different everynight and usuallly very funny. the only complain i have about the hotel is that one person at the reception claimed that we had to pay £47 for a short phone call but later said that that was a mistake as it was only £12. i would definitely recommend this hotel to all families and couples and as a matter of fact my family are going back this year in october. thank you for takin your time reading this review.
Great for a week !!
Just landed back from 1 week hol. Food was excellent particularly good for kids - 5*. Accom was prob more 3-4* lots of space in bungalow for 3 or 4. Mini bar was filled daily, no probs with drinks either. Entertainment was the worst seen prob 2* but may get better as the season goes on. Had a fab time but wouldn't want 2 weeks. Super weather & free sports/water sports. Can recommend it !!
Why go anywhere else
We have just had 2 weeks at this fabulous location. If you just want to laze about or join in the many activities, both are available. The hotel accomodation was clean and fairly spacious (didn't spend much time in it). Towels and bedding changed regularly. Maids and hotel staff friendly and cheerful. There are a few shops in the hotel and a supermarket just across the way. The beach area with it's bar and water activities is a good place to relax. the only drawback is the "Animation Team" come through which disturbs your dozing, but you can move the beds further along the beach for total quiet. The Taverna on the beach serves up a varied lunch menu which is cooked well and has a good choice of salad stuff. We avoided the main pool as it is an area mostly frquented by families and it was a little too crowded for our liking. There is another pool in the Family Village Hotel up the hill which is availble and less crowded. Now we come to the restaurant, there is only one word for it and it's food, WONDERFUL. The chefs do a lot of show cooking in front of you and they are always clean and tidy. Staff are constantly going around cleaning and tidying and the waiters/waitresses are friendly and do a good job. We never had a bad meal and the choice was outstanding, varied and catered for most tastes. The Pizza is to die for and the chef that makes them in front of you can do some amazing things with bread dough! Lora is a chef and was very impressed with the whole setup, I am not a chef but was very impressed with the finished product! In the evening there is a noisy bar which has the "Animation Team" doing their bit and there is a cocktail bar which is waiter service and a little quieter. Again, the staff were friendly and cheerful. The only minus point to the cocktail bar was that the speakers from the other bar were so loud that you could not escape it but you could go up the hill to the Family Village bar for total quiet. Overall, it has to be one of the best holidays we have had and we would (and have) recommend it to anyone, with or without children. Can't wait to go again!!!
disliked the hotel
all previous complaints are true having returned 2 days ago from 2 weeks at Norida Beach. Reception staff really rude and unhelpful, gastro enteritis among a lot of people staying at hotel including ourselves. Rooms in village full of ants and not cleaned properly. All drinks watered down including the wine at meals - I resorted to bringing my own wine to dinner! Sea water pool very cold. No way a 4 star hotel and would not recommend it if you havent already booked. Only good thing was the animation team were generally very nice
what a great holiday(22nd May)
When I first booked I looked at the reviews on the hotel on this page I couldnt believe how bad the reviews were reading them I thought (OH MY GOD WHAT SORT OF PLACE ARE WE GOING TO). Just got back and how wrong they were. The hotel was superb immaculatly clean, reception, rooms, restaurant all spotless. The food was great, the pool. Yes the entertainment was mostly aimed at kids but what do you expect arent most hotels???. Just wanna say what a fab holiday I had no moans at all and I would reccommend any body to go I would definalty go back.!!
