Disneys All Star Sports Resort

We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort the end of August 2003, We had a great time. The room was small, but for the amount of time we were in the room, didn't matter how big or small the room was. Everyday the room was cleaned by houskeeping and little surprises made with our bath towels was a treat. The food court was reasonably priced, and the food was good. After reading some reviews on this site I was a little nervous about staying in this hotel, and we had planned a Sat-Sat stay. After making a couple of pre-check in phone calls requesting room locations, and ordering electric wheelchairs to await us at check-in, our group of 6 (all over age 21) arrived in the middle of a Sat. afternoon. I didn't find the check in wait too long, they had plenty of windows open to accomodate, and any wait was simply because of volume. We just returned from staying a week at the All-Star Sports Resort (9/7-9/14). My fiance and I had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Touchdown building and enjoyed it a lot as it was close to the 2 pools and the Food Court Area and buses. It had 2 beds and was the standard size. It was always clean and stocked with extra towels and soaps. We were even lucky to find a towel "elephant" on one of the beds which we thought was really cute and a nice personal touch. My husband and I and our 12 year old son stayed here last September. We only stayed here because we were going to a company picnic in the area and they gave us a great corporate rate ($40). Never again! What a circus. The hotel is huge, and our room was like a 10 minute walk to the car, the food court and the pool. The hotel consists of a huge maze of buildings and my son got lost when we let him get something out of the car. My husband, Mother-in-law, nephew and I stayed in one room here. The rooms were standard size room (2 double beds). The were not dirty, but they didn't seem as clean as some of the other hotels at Disney. My 6-year old nephew loved it. The hotel theme and decorations are great. For the price it was a nice hotel, considering all the "Disney" benefits (transportation to the park, fast-pass, etc.)

Room was good, clean, large beds, bathroom was large and clean, once you leave the room, services were not up to disneys normal standards. Courtyards, pool areas dirty, service at food court was poor. could not get the front desk clerk to hail a cab to go out, no phone to call one. bus service to and from attractions was very full with long lines most of the time. we won't be doing that again. much more enjoyed the Disney cruise package from prior years.

My family of 4 (kids age 7 & 9) stayed at the All-Star Sports resort July 19-25. The check-in was a breeze (<15 minutes) and our room was poolside in the Surf's Up building. The room was clean, pool was clean, arcade was nice, and food court was large. We always took advantage of the early extra hour at the parks which everyone must not do because there was never a very large crowd waiting for the bus for the early admission. We went to Disney in 2000 and stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort. This time, we were interested in spending a little less money, so we booked this Value resort. After all the arrangements were made, I started reading terrible things about the All Star Sports on the internet and in books. We stayed at the All-Star Sports July 14-18. We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The check-in went fine and their was a TV in the lobby with Disney movies playing for the kids to watch while we were busy with checking in. The kids loved facing the football field. Our room was clean. The room was a little small but we spent so little time in our room, it was big enough to serve its purpose (which was as a place to shower and sleep). Our family spent 7 looong days at the All Star Sports June 17-24, 2003. Check in was 30 minutes standing in line. We were told to drive to #2, Hoops (Basketball) area. A maze of hotels greeted us with no help unless we went back to the check in desk and stood another 30 minutes. After searching though the mazes, we found the room and did not have a luggage cart to unload our car!
