I Have just returned from a long weekend stay with friends from this (Hotel) Ha ! Apartments more like, I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy, we didnt see a cleaner at all. no towel change, how can you be expected to share a room with 3-4 ppl & use the same towels which consisted of 2 bath towels & 2 small towels for 4 adults ? for 4 days ? absolutly discusting, no toilet roll left or replaced. When we arrived we were told we couldn't get into out rooms til after 2pm so we had to change in the luggage room. To get all inclusive we had to go to the hotel down the road which is just a joke, the hotel was nice enough dont get me wrong, but we would have prefered to stay there to be honest, than trail down to it everytime we wanted a drink or something to eat or just to sit at a decent pool that we didnt need to pay for a sunbed at. Im not a snob but these apartments were the "Pitts" & we all agreed & felt the same that we would never ever go back to it again, as for Benidorm its great, just make sure you get a decent hotel before you go.
Advice: Great Nightlife !

came back from the flamingo playa on 18-07-09, went with mum dad brother and boyfriend, arrived there to find we was on the 14th floor but had requested a low floor with a 3 year old child, got moved the next morning to the 2nd floor which was better but the room was terrible, the bathroom door didn close or lock, neither did the bedroom door, and the apartment door had no handle on the inside, had to pay 3euros a day for air con but had to switch it off as it leaked water that much, told the staff downstairs 3 times and it wasnt fixed until the day before we came home, even had to pay to wath the TV, the hygene in the hotel to me was terrible aswell we didnt get any clean towels or bedding, well the cleaners didnt even come in our room, told the receptionist aboutit and they sent the cleaner up again the day before we was going, which was discusting, in the room there was 5 of us staying and all there was is 2 single beds in the bedroom and 2 single bed sofas in the living area not bed for the 3 year old. the lifts were extremely slow, couldnt get to sleep each night as of banging pots and pans and screaming people on the above floors,had to eat and use your all inclusive band in the hotel around 100mtrs away which wasnt too bad , the food was beautiful always a theme night aswell as normal food so couldnt complain about that there was a swimming pol in the hotel where we ate but that was far to deep and busy, so usedthe pool at the flamingo apartments, the floor around the pool at the falimingo playa was extremely slippy and many people fell andhurt themselves, lots of hen partys an d stag partys but they didnt cause any trouble, would recomend this hotel to stag and hen partys.

We went to Flamingo Playa for 1 week all inclusive....
Holiday overall was very good but the lack of sleep made our days tiring because of the noise in the hotel during early hours in the morning. Felt so sorry for my kids as they were getting it in the neck as we were both cranky!!!! Our first night, chairs, bottles, cutlery etc..... was being thrown from above. The group of louts were chucked out almost immediately... Hotel was very basic, but comfortable but there was alot of hen and stag parties stopping there and when they came in from a night out, they woke us all up! Usually from 2- 5 am. Seemed like a hostel more than anything.... Staff pleasant but entertainment was crap on the complex. Like to add the security men who work there at night are just as loud, especially when talking on their walkie talkies.. Sometimes for ages.... Flamingo Benidorm more appropriate for families.. entertainment was good there and food was excellent and the pool was good too.....

Having just stayed at the flamingo playa apartments we found that the apartments were just as stated, no frills but good value for money. The only problem is that if you are self catering you cannot use the pool as it is dirty and you have things thrown at you from the apartments above. We didn't have this problem as we were all inclusive and used the facilites of the sister hotel which were lovely. We simply used the apartments to sleep/wash/change. We were fortunate that we could sleep being on the 2nd floor but those above had many sleepless nights from the noise/kicking doors/sleeping and people being sick in lifts. The police were called several times but the trouble were the spanish groups of people in their late teens/ early 20s.
The all inclusive hotel was very good, the food good, always a theme night either indian/salmon/mexican that was as well as normal menu. You did have to queue now and again for drinks but the queue soon went down. Entertainment in the evening was pretty tack with lots of hen nights/stag parties but usually no trouble just lots of merry people. Glad we didn't out 12 year old as he would have been bored, nothing for them to do.
The all inclusive hotel was very good, the food good, always a theme night either indian/salmon/mexican that was as well as normal menu. This was an amazing holiday! I am 11 years old and I thoroughly enjoyed my week at the Flamingo Playa. My dad, brother and I found over €60 in the swimming pool and the streets. The market was very useful as I had lost a pair of sunglasses so I bought another pair. The market also sells clothes, necklaces and other novelties.
Overall this was an amazing trip and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

After reading the reviews on the Flamingo Playa I was slightly concerned but on arrival it wasnt too bad.
PROS:
1)Spacious rooms
2)Clean
3)Not too far from the shops (although the nearby shop is VERY exspensive so bear in mind if you go self-catering)
4)The woman on reception is very helpful
5)About 15 minute walk from the nightlife
CONS:
1)You have to pay extra for sun loungers (That's per day by the way!)
2)The pool attendant is one of the rudest people I have ever met
3)The main pool is so deep that you cant touch the floor which would be a worry if you have kids
4)The lifts are awful! Kept breaking down & you have to wait ages! Very small to so if you have a few kids in pushchairs...good luck!
5) Too many English people
All in all, its an ok place but I wouldnt go back there. But there again I wouldnt go to Benidorm again either. Dont get me wrong its an ok place, depending on what youre going for. If like me it was for the sole purpose of drinking alcohol then you'll be fine!
Saying that, you must visit the Old Town. Got some lovely authentic resturants.

Just back from a week long holiday staying in the Flmingo Playa Apartments. Amazing time there. The hotel was excellent spacious, clean and the staff were more than helpful to us. Was on the 15th floor but the lifts were all working and no problems. Read some of the reviews about the building work goin on near it, wasnt a problem at all. Apartment was cleaned twice and got towels as requested!!Would recommend it and we will be back to stay there!!

hotel was good staff were friendly and helpfull the all inclusive is well almost all inclusive you have to pay for safe and air conditioning cots slush puppies .didnt have to pay for sunbeds unless we were just lucky. food was fantastic, room was very spacious and clean cleaners came twice in week would reccomend this hotel to anyone the all inclusive is at the flamingo benidorm tho which is just a short walk round the corner overall fantastic holiday going again next year but maybe closer to beach

four of us have just returned from flamingo playa never again would we go back there we arrived to be told we were on 15th floor when we asked to be on bottom 3 floors because of walking problems lifts were very slow and no air con in them rooms very clean but only change towels and bed linen every 3rd day swimming pool very small and had to pay for sunbeds whole hotel very noisy couldnt get to sleep til 5am any morning complained to security but it didnt stop it food in bar very basic and no taste to it air con leaked badly no entertainment even though display board said there was receptionists very helpful bar staff not at all helpful wooky hollow pub serves good food and karaoke

Just got back from flamingo. Hotel bar staff very ignorant never seen any of them smiling the whole week we was there, also heard alot of other people complaining about them. Hotel maids came in once the whole time we was there which meant we had too rinse the towels ourself. Apartments were average, modern kitchen and bathroom bedroom was a decent size. Overall a good holiday but wouldnt go back too the flamingo playa.

we have just got back . never again will i go to these apts , the whole fortnight we was there our bed linen was changed once and the towels 3 times . and thats cause we threaten to dump smelly bed linen on reception desk . the air con leak water right bad , the only good thing was the room size and the modern kitchen . the pool was small and totally different to what was shown in brouchure . no kids club , no entertainment . for the best entertainment go to tommys down road 3 artist a night on . also for a good cheap drink and food go to the titanic bar very friendly staff. the food at bar at flamingo playa was average but thats when the bar men could be bother to cook it. very slow at serving . only one lift available at night due to the other two being reserve for overflow from allinclusive in next hotel and always breaking down the one night we did see entertainment things was chuck off balcony and one hit my mum causing a nasty bruise on her hand 1.50 for sun beds and 3 euros a day for air con . young ones banging on doors and playing loud music into the early hours and if you ask them to be keep the noise down you were threaten and the security guard was useless he thought it was all funny. my dad is disable and with our 8 yr grandaughter it was not a nice hol for them

Just got back from playa flamingo apartments,myself,wife & 3 boy's(10yrs/12yrs/15yrs).Was worried after reading some of the revues but the apartments were good,no problems with the lock's,safe,air con or lifts.The sheets & towels were changed 3 times 1st week & twice second week.Had to go to flamingo benidorm for all food & drinks which was 100yards away max.The food was good the beer was not great but hey ho it was free.The only complaint would be the nightly entertainment which was pretty poor but plenty of bars around to get good entertainment.

we have not long come back from benidorm i have being to these apartments before this time we took our 2 year old daughter and even though she couldnt go in the kids club we went to the beach allday the hotel has had some changes since we last went and the lifts do break down but it is one of those things after speaking to thomson after reading these reviews they assured me that if there were problems in the hotel the rep would notify thomson and explained that some people just like to moan even if they stayed in 5 star they still would pick faults.the hotel staff was friendly and when i asked for somethink they helped me to there best ability,bar staff was good to and made a fuss of my little girl .the rooms were clean and the linen wasd changed 3 times a week ansd it was nice and clean recomended for families and couples.
