After reading the reviews on the Flamingo Playa I was slightly concerned but on arrival it wasnt too bad.

PROS:

1)Spacious rooms
2)Clean
3)Not too far from the shops (although the nearby shop is VERY exspensive so bear in mind if you go self-catering)
4)The woman on reception is very helpful
5)About 15 minute walk from the nightlife


CONS:

1)You have to pay extra for sun loungers (That's per day by the way!)
2)The pool attendant is one of the rudest people I have ever met
3)The main pool is so deep that you cant touch the floor which would be a worry if you have kids
4)The lifts are awful! Kept breaking down & you have to wait ages! Very small to so if you have a few kids in pushchairs...good luck!
5) Too many English people

All in all, its an ok place but I wouldnt go back there. But there again I wouldnt go to Benidorm again either. Dont get me wrong its an ok place, depending on what youre going for. If like me it was for the sole purpose of drinking alcohol then you'll be fine!

Saying that, you must visit the Old Town. Got some lovely authentic resturants.

Just back from a week long holiday staying in the Flmingo Playa Apartments. Amazing time there. The hotel was excellent spacious, clean and the staff were more than helpful to us. Was on the 15th floor but the lifts were all working and no problems. Read some of the reviews about the building work goin on near it, wasnt a problem at all. Apartment was cleaned twice and got towels as requested!!Would recommend it and we will be back to stay there!!

hotel was good staff were friendly and helpfull the all inclusive is well almost all inclusive you have to pay for safe and air conditioning cots slush puppies .didnt have to pay for sunbeds unless we were just lucky. food was fantastic, room was very spacious and clean cleaners came twice in week would reccomend this hotel to anyone the all inclusive is at the flamingo benidorm tho which is just a short walk round the corner overall fantastic holiday going again next year but maybe closer to beach

four of us have just returned from flamingo playa never again would we go back there we arrived to be told we were on 15th floor when we asked to be on bottom 3 floors because of walking problems lifts were very slow and no air con in them rooms very clean but only change towels and bed linen every 3rd day swimming pool very small and had to pay for sunbeds whole hotel very noisy couldnt get to sleep til 5am any morning complained to security but it didnt stop it food in bar very basic and no taste to it air con leaked badly no entertainment even though display board said there was receptionists very helpful bar staff not at all helpful wooky hollow pub serves good food and karaoke

Just got back from flamingo. Hotel bar staff very ignorant never seen any of them smiling the whole week we was there, also heard alot of other people complaining about them. Hotel maids came in once the whole time we was there which meant we had too rinse the towels ourself. Apartments were average, modern kitchen and bathroom bedroom was a decent size. Overall a good holiday but wouldnt go back too the flamingo playa.

we have just got back . never again will i go to these apts , the whole fortnight we was there our bed linen was changed once and the towels 3 times . and thats cause we threaten to dump smelly bed linen on reception desk . the air con leak water right bad , the only good thing was the room size and the modern kitchen . the pool was small and totally different to what was shown in brouchure . no kids club , no entertainment . for the best entertainment go to tommys down road 3 artist a night on . also for a good cheap drink and food go to the titanic bar very friendly staff. the food at bar at flamingo playa was average but thats when the bar men could be bother to cook it. very slow at serving . only one lift available at night due to the other two being reserve for overflow from allinclusive in next hotel and always breaking down the one night we did see entertainment things was chuck off balcony and one hit my mum causing a nasty bruise on her hand 1.50 for sun beds and 3 euros a day for air con . young ones banging on doors and playing loud music into the early hours and if you ask them to be keep the noise down you were threaten and the security guard was useless he thought it was all funny. my dad is disable and with our 8 yr grandaughter it was not a nice hol for them

Just got back from playa flamingo apartments,myself,wife & 3 boy's(10yrs/12yrs/15yrs).Was worried after reading some of the revues but the apartments were good,no problems with the lock's,safe,air con or lifts.The sheets & towels were changed 3 times 1st week & twice second week.Had to go to flamingo benidorm for all food & drinks which was 100yards away max.The food was good the beer was not great but hey ho it was free.The only complaint would be the nightly entertainment which was pretty poor but plenty of bars around to get good entertainment.

we have not long come back from benidorm i have being to these apartments before this time we took our 2 year old daughter and even though she couldnt go in the kids club we went to the beach allday the hotel has had some changes since we last went and the lifts do break down but it is one of those things after speaking to thomson after reading these reviews they assured me that if there were problems in the hotel the rep would notify thomson and explained that some people just like to moan even if they stayed in 5 star they still would pick faults.the hotel staff was friendly and when i asked for somethink they helped me to there best ability,bar staff was good to and made a fuss of my little girl .the rooms were clean and the linen wasd changed 3 times a week ansd it was nice and clean recomended for families and couples.

just got back from flamingo playa apts yesterday very clean and basic accomodation weather brill i went with my boyfriend and daughter my two sons 19 and 17 took 3 of their friends wouldnt recomend taken teenagers for the hotel staff did nothing but complain about them.They are boys jumping in the pool and having a laugh they was older people around the pool on mobillity scooters going mad for they splashed them,sorry go some where else who catter for these people paid just as much as they have for the holiday.I would never go to these apartments again even iv it was paid for us,saved for 12months and it was a disaster air con not working even though they charged me for it couldnt get my money back the safes wouldnt lock paid for that also,my son saton a plastic chair around pool fell through it tried to charge me 2o0 euros for it what a joke never again.Iwould say if you have booked this apartment i would try to change it to some where else dont waste your money or end up having a shit time like we did.

We in the past had alreay been in the Flamingo Playa a number of times and loved it. It was a surprise to go back to find out it was independently owned and no longer owned by Thomson - however they are still tour operators for the hotel.



The hotel is clean and spacious and the staff are extremely friendly. The only criticism I have is the lifts. They are narrow, hot and slow and we were put on the 16th floor. At first I was scared but I then got used to it.



For people with children or elderly people I would suggest you ask for a lower floor apartment!



I have read a number of reviews about a bad maid service but I never had any problems, you will find if you ask the maids to do something for you they will be more than happy to. I was there for a week and they came 3 times!!!

Arrive at hotel to be told we were on 19th floor even tho we had email hotel and asked forl ow floor due to having a 7yr with us which they had already agreed to do, told we would be moved next morning. That night we had lads and lassies banging on door at 5 in morning trying to get in. Got moved next morning to level 6 which was no better for noise during night really need ear plugs kids playing football outside there rooms at 2 in morning, groups of hens and stag do, swimming pool was very small for the size of hotel and very deep could not stand in any part of big pool. spent our time down beach.

On a good note rooms were very big but only cleaned once during our stay, had to ask for clean towels. Hotel ok for groups but not for familys would not advise any one with kids to go if you want any sleep could not wait to get home says family hotel but really it is not.

Me and my two friends booked 10 nights at the flamingo playa. Our main complaints were is the maids as they only changed our sheets and towels twice in 10 nights, the lifts are very slow and you have to pay for your sunbeds. ALSO... there are two buildings being built straight across the way so it is a bit noisy. Everything else was good the rooms were really spacious, kitchen was quite big and the balcony was a nice addition. Overall enjoyed my stay.

After reading the reviews i was a bit nervous about the hotel but i found it to be pleasent the rooms were spacious and clean we only had the towels changed once which is the reason i am rating it a 9 not a ten



there was a problem with the lifts they did take a while to get there but we wernt in a rush so it didnt bother us the aircon was the cheapest i have ever had it was only 26 euros for the week



we enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back in october

My partner and I just got back from a week at this resort and I would recommend it to anyone. We absolutely loved it. Alot of people complained about the all inclusive benefits being in the other hotel however as we were self catering, this did not bother us.



We found it close enough to all the pubs and clubs but not too close that it would keep us awake all night.



The Titanic bar round the corner is brilliant, we spent most of our time there, great staff, great food, great prices.



The apartments were clean, doors locked fine, great view of beach, very spacious. Only reason i marked as a 9 and not a 10 is due to the air conditioning as i wasnt happy having to pay for this so suffered the whole week without it!!!



All in all, this was a brilliant holiday and i would go back tomorrow without a doubt.
