Submitted By: Mrs D BradburnWhen we arrived we put on the 23rd floor but we did request 3rd or 4th when we booked but where moved to the 11th floor. The apartments where filthy and absolute disgraceful
I don’t think it had been washed for god knows how long.
My self and husband went with my son and daughter my son is 14 he went down to the pool at 8.30 in the morning only to be told that the doors to the outside pool don’t open until 9am and no one is allowed in the pool until 10 am this was never advised when we booked with the tour operator.
We were also asked for 2 cots in the room for the 2 little ones but where told would have to pay which we also not told when we booked .Would never stay at this hotel again.

Submitted By: Miss LJ PearsonBut all in all it was good and we liked it, 4 of us between the ages 20-22 are going again in 4 days April 25th, really looking forward to it, I would recommend it to others as it is only a place to sleep at night!
I do find it quite a walk from the beach. But the taxis are so cheap that if you don’t like walking then get a taxi.
We get taxis home from the clubs at night, even though there only a 5-10 min walk home.

Submitted By: Mrs K CooperThe staff at the hotel were wonderful and bent over backwards to help us. We requested a room lower down as we have a 4 year old hooligan and were moved to a first floor apartment in the smaller block. It was great!
The entertainment in the hotel was not brilliant but once again we are assuming that the time of year had something to do with it. The food in the hotel was adequate. My husband and children loved it (- I work in the hospitality industry and tend to be a little more fussy and judgmental) The apartments were clean and tidy.
Even the cleaning staff were wonderful and very helpful. The only downside was Thomsons. Please don't expect too much from the gentleman rep in the hotel! We would definitely go back and stay at the Flamingo Play again any day.

Submitted By: Mr M WalthamMyself and 3 of my mates stayed in 1 room, it felt a bit squashed in but we managed. As we was on the beer all day and we were'nt all in the room at the same time.
Families better give it a miss, but for clubbers its cheap and cheerful and not far from the action.

Submitted By: Mr RM CahalaneAs I took my first holiday away from family with a group of my peers (we were all 18) I didn’t expect much from the Reps, Staff or Management. Who would bother with a group of rowdy Welsh teenagers?
Unbelievably, The Reps were the most helpful I have ever come across and made friends with straight away - The staff were very polite and courteous and always in good humour - The management were what you would expect from an apartment holding hundreds of holidays makers (Young and old) lenient and strict all in one.
The accommodation was ideal - Ground floor room next to the pool, bar 25 yards away, shop even closer. Clean living area and Bathroom and a tidy kitchen . . . Full with utensils including a checklist on the wall and prices if anything was found missing at the end of your stay.
Hotel entertainment was varied but fun all round - Happy hour every night - Barbecue provided by chef Jose and karaoke hosted by resident Rep.
Some rowdy crowds of youths frequented the pools but were always under the watch of staff as to ensure safety.
I could not find a thing wrong with the Playa and am planning on making a comeback this year.
Thanks Flamingo Playa and watch out July 06.

Submitted By: N AnnanOn arrival we were allocated a ground floor apartment. This was requested as we have a three year old, but we found it a bit noisy with people coming in at all times of the night.
We asked for a change of apartment and were given one almost immediately.
The staff were all very friendly. The entertainment at night was great value for the money we had paid and the kids loved it.
The pool was an adequate size and clean. Our room was clean and the maid service was as you would expect for a 2 star accommodation.
The apartment block was close to the shops and nightlife.
All in all the holiday was great and we are looking to book at the Flamingo Playa again this year (2006).
I am a bit surprised at the comments that have been left. You get what you pay for.
The best bit about the Flamingo Playa is that it is a 5 min walk from the local market (my favourite part of Benidorm).

Submitted By: Mr M JonesWe are a middle class family who usually stay in around a 4/5 star hotel. This hotel isn’t that but was excellent for the price we paid. I would like to thank Flamingo Playa Apartments for such a great holiday.

I cant believe some people's comments because you can allways pay more and stay somewhere else. If you are going to be picky PAY THE EXTRA!

Submitted By: Miss J WallWatch out for change over day, you will Be taking the stairs.
I have photos of dried toothpaste left in the bottom of a glass, placed on the lounge cabinet for use, the ball of grime and fluff that stayed in the corner of the bedroom for the whole week!
The grime around the over flow that breaks off in your bath left by passed holiday makers, talk about share and share alike.
this place is disgusting.
Bed sheets with holes in Thank god we took our own pillow cases.
Kitchen appliances here would be illegal.
kettle lid is made not to stay open and doesn’t turn itself off!! so be strong and methodical on refill, bottle kettle and lid. HHHMMM it is possible in time.
A filthy table top cooker with a pull down glass front, and a toaster possibly saved from some ones skip..
All with one plug socket in the kitchen
Last but not least.
We itched all week, if it was one of us I wouldn’t relate it to the apartment but there was 3!! of us.
Entertainment.
evening entertainment is available.
If you want to swim go to a local larger hotel as Flamingo pool is a fridge. With some unusually dangerous!! entrance.
Did i complain, No! why? have you seen the staff and these are the people we would have to talk to and live with for a week!
The customer is very rarely right in Spain.
So we grinned and bared it.
The hotel restaurant will not have 2 of the dishes you request, so if i where you id not even bother.
The pool tables are ripped and the ice hockey unusable.
The Rep did her Job as I suppose she is supposed to do but to tell us where to find a waterskiing facility and we spend 1 hour looking for it when its closed for season is not what we want to here.
All you will get off your rep is what they make commission on.
Don’t listen to the rep about the traveller cheque costs being cheaper to exchange at reception, this is a lie!
I only paid 1 euro on 50Euro travellers exchange out of the hotel, to me that is not dear.
You may think this list is a little long but I wish I had it to read before I booked!!

Me and my family have just arrived back in England, the first thing that had to be done was have a bath because the bedding was filthy before you even get in it and even after a bath you still feel dirty because the bathrooms are filthy and very smelly.
The kettle, toaster were in need of replacement.

The maid service was infrequent.

The bed clothes i.e. Sheets and pillow cases were thin and thread bare.

Thomson should remove this apartment/hotel from their brochure.
The rooms were filthy, my year old baby picked up broken glass from the floors the day we arrived. The apartments had power cuts. I had nowhere to heat the baby’s food and was advised to go to a hotel over the road and ask them to heat it. My family found dried vomit all over their top sheets on their bed. The fridge was constantly leaking all over the kitchen floor. We had to pay for a cot for our baby and a fan for the room.

You would find better kitchen facilities in a prison. The reception staff were very rude for the fortnight because they knew you had made a complaint and hey as for the manageress of the hotel, I hope you don’t have to see her about your complaints, she is very dismissive. The rep did everything in his power to avoid writing a complaints form and constantly tried to change the wording of your complaint. DON'T LET HIM GET AWAY WITH THIS. Because once you have signed the report you can't change it.

Watch out for the pigeons and the cats, I actually thought Thomsons had built an aviary and cattery when we were there, them being the kind and caring company that they claim to be! On the plus side the bar staff were very friendly and helpful and lovely to the kids. Love Benidorm but would never go back to these apartments again, even if they paid me to.
It was clean and the kitchen facilities had everything. If anybody is going to Benidorm i would recommend this hotel to anybody. Its in a great location local to everything, the Rep was fantastic & the reception people as well.
They had trips & activities for everybody, when I return to Benidorm I will for sure be staying here again. Thank you for the great stay. Great Place to Stay!
