Hi guys, just come back from Oasis Pap. The complex is excellent for families and couples. The pools and grounds are excellent. Very clean and tidy. There are about 5 pools 3 main pools and 2 kids pools just over the other side.

Most the people were brits and it wasn`t too busy when we went at the end of June. We went with Thomson the reps were excellent the entertained all through the day and night.

The only thing I could put against this complex were the rooms. The one we had was a bit grubby. Cob webs in corners and sofa bed had stains. It may only have been ours that was like this we only went self catering. It was basic no air con (pay to hire a fan 20 Euros p/w).TV you also have to pay for only 3 English channels sport news and films.

About 6 Euros a day for that. It’s a 10 min walk down the main road to the centre.

There are a few little English pubs cafe at the end of the complex good food not badly priced. Super market joined next door but is pricey so is Iceland at the bottom, go to Netto in Corralejo.

Corralejo has great places to eat along the front small sea food restaurants. For all you Neil diamond fans go to cast aways great entertainment run by a friendly English couple.

Hong Kong do a good Chinese buffet 7 Euros each not bad. To get back jump in a taxi 3 Euros a go taxis drivers are good no messing about.

On the whole it’s not a bad place to go oasis pap looked liked the best hotel there don’t let the rooms put you off going...

What a fantastic place, 6 adults and 5 kids all had a fab holiday, and as soon as we got home we were straight on the internet pricing it up to go back later this year!

We had a 2 bed roomed apartment and were really impressed. Very spacious, both bedrooms were double sized with loads of storage space (not a lot of coat hangers though).

Rooms were cleaned regularly and no problems with towel or linen changes. Quite a few bugs inside (which felt the bottom of a flip-flop!), and our patio was absolutely covered with ants.

The complex is large, and very well maintained. Our apartments were located between the two pool areas which was quite handy. The 2 main pools and kids pool (salt water ones) are where all the entertainment happens during the day, so bag yourself some loungers round that area if you want to be involved.

The Thomson reps are absolutely fab and keep adults and kids entertained day and night. Some of the evening entertainment is a bit cheesy but hey, if it keeps the kids entertained its priceless!

Supermarket on the complex is dear, but there are a couple of Netto's down the main road towards town which are a lot cheaper. The walk down to town isn't too bad, prob about 20 mins to the main area, but a taxi only costs about 2 Euro's.

Best place to eat in town was the all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet - can't remember the name of it but it is just past the Slowboat. On the complex we loved the Pizzeria, and just outside of the complex was Tiffany's or the other English place round the corner next to the Racing Post - a lot friendlier and very generous with the portions!

The weather was unbelievable as they had a heat wave while we there so it was 40 for the first few days. The last couple of days though showed the true weather for this time of year, the cloud came rolling over and the wind picked up which made it a bit chilly in and out of the water, and also in the evening.

The Baku waterpark is directly across the road from the complex and well worth a visit -have a look at it on Google Earth!

Everything was brilliant - apart from the 4 hour delay and a very bumpy flight coming home!

The best holiday I have ever had.

It looks like we caught the best weather so far as other people have said it was cloudy for most of the day, but it was in the 90's from the 9'th of May to the 14'th.

The hotel was amazing with plenty to do for kids and adults the complex has 3 swimming pools and lots more. I totally recommend this holiday.

First time staying at the Oasis Papagayo but not the first time on the Island.

Travelled with my Partner & 10yr old daughter. We arrived at night to be given a map of the complex our room key and Adios.

10 hours later after lots of wondering around we finally escaped the magical maze and found our room. Which was clean and right opposite the smaller pool with kiddie splash pool. Oh and Jacuzzi.

We later discovered that the two larger pools are filled with salt water which was not at all nice.

There was plenty to do for my daughter who attended the kids club and made friends rather quickly.

We had two days of not so good weather but managed to get nice tans.

We hired bikes from reception and went into the town of Corralejo, where the supermarkets are a lot cheaper if staying self-catering like us, although we did take a few bits from home like Cereals/Tuna & beans... which we snacked on for lunch then ate out in town most evenings.

A visit to the sand dunes are a must. We had the best fun stripping down and running round naked as we were the only ones there for miles...

The water park is opposite the complex and was a great day out for us all, we took our own lunch in and drinks as you are given a locker. For us 3 it worked out about £30.

We also hired a car from reception as we wanted to venture out a little bit further which we got a deal -3days for price of two...

And the reps were top notch, friendly and very helpful not one single fault.

Just the in house entertainment was standard Cheese! But my daughter and her new found friends loved it and wanted to go to the club bar every night LOL.

Fuerteventura is a lovely island, a little windy at times but hey not as over populated with tourists like the other islands, it still has its own identity which I like...

No fighting over sun beds or having to listen to badly behaved drunkards.

I’ll go back any day it was worth my £189pp...

Whist we found generally the place was nice and the weather was good, we were a little disappointed.

On arrival we had to wait half an hour for our room to be cleaned and were told that the ripped sofa cover would be changed – was not. Once inside the room, the wall in the bedroom was furry with mould.

The Thompson rep was also terrible. We had booked two trips and the first of which was double booked. On speaking with the rep, we, and another couple, were told that she had faxed the slip to the operator at 11am the previous day (since we had all booked after this time we were a little perplexed).

It then transpired that the slip was faxed at 7pm and she confirmed that she had received a faxed sip back confirming receipt. This was not found and shown to us.

To top it all off, as I had paid by card, I would have to be reimbursed by card, and was told this may take over a week to clear. This meant that our carefully budgeted holiday left us with a day that could no longer do anything with as we were £60.00 out of pocket. Even the offer of a complimentary drink may have calmed me a little, but no!

I feel that I am now ranting.

The hotel itself was nice, the pool was far too cold to ever enter and the pool tables were missing balls.

We did however love the trip to the zoo with camel rides and though the island itself very accommodating.

Ps. Everything of interests such as the water park closes in November – be warned.

Just back after spending a week at the Oasis Papagayo Village with my hubby and 16 month old daughter.

Sadly, the weather was not the best. It was lunchtime most days before the sun came out but the big drawback was the 'breeze' which was more like gale force winds at times. There was no escaping it and coming out of the pools you really felt it.

We went self catering so cannot comment on food in the complex. Every night we walked the 15-20 min walk into the town for dinner. It was a pleasant walk but be prepared to be blown about a bit lol.

We did find it expensive to eat out so make sure you take plenty of spending money. Would recommend Tiffany's around the corner. Pleasant staff and decent food, especially breakfast and burgers. They were also very good with our daughter and would make most things we wanted for her and not overpriced.

The ice cream parlour next to the complex is nice and make a decent coffee (too cold for ice cream when we were there). Would recommend La Tasca steakhouse in the town and the Chinese buffets.

We did try Slowboat 2 as recommended by some people but it lived up to its name - slow. We waited over an hour and ended up asking to take it away.

One place to visit on the main road is a lovely ice cream/smoothie/coffee place called Secreto (big orange sign). A must for coffee and ice cream lovers.

Our room was spacious enough, however, it was not the cleanest and we had ants in the kitchen area. Our sofa bed appeared to be broken as every time you sat on it the bottom part would come away. The maids are obviously overworked and understaffed.

During the week we had two towel changes and the floor was swept once. Ended up putting nappies in bins in the communal areas due to infrequency of bin emptying. These bins are emptied every morning.

Sadly, we did not use the pool areas much due to the weather but there appeared to be a good number of sun loungers. We kept to the bottom pools with the splash pool for toddlers which was very good. One of the two play areas for children is there and our daughter loved it.

One of the reasons we chose this complex was for the children's facilities. We knew she was too young for the kiddies clubs but thought the soft play area would be good. We took her once and found it to be quite dirty. There was children there who were obviously too old and the reps were sitting chatting. Not impressed at all!

Overall, we had a decent break. If the weather was better I am sure it would have helped, however, we will not be back to Fuerteventura.

Having been to the other islands in the Canaries, this was our least favourite and will stick to Lanzarote in future.

Went there with my parents, husband and two children and pregnant with my third.

We had two one bedroom apartments next to each other which were lovely, spacious and greatly positioned in front of the pool.

The entertainment was great and the reps were friendly and helpful. It was a bit of a walk into the centre but pleasant enough.

The pools were well kept and cleaned on a very regular basis.

On a night the kids reps were very entertaining with the little disco, (which I even danced too!!) and plenty of quizzes for both the adults and the children to join in.

Loved it and would visit again!

When me and my boyfriend arrived at Fuerteventura airport we were pleased to find out that we had got the Oasis Papagayo from the price breaker we did with Thomson.

Was very impressed when first got there, and was very pleased to see a spotless apartment.

No complaints with the accommodation at all, very big complex and got lost a few times, and thought it was a bit cheeky charging to use the TV but apart from that really pleased and the beds very comfy!!

We stayed here for a week and to be quite honest, glad it was only a week!! I found that the resort of Correlajo was not a place for young couples; you are very limited in things to do out of season.

Nice stroll into the town at night but not much going on!! Would definitely recommend the lazy days cruise excursion, staff were really friendly and free alcohol!

Got to laze about for the day and had a go on a Jet Ski and scuba diving! Definitely worth the money and a change of scenery!!

Would not recommend the Lanzarote shopping trip, although did get some nice things.

Not a good idea to go if you suffer from sea sickness, about 6 people threw up (and that’s not exaggerating) went straight to bed when got in to our apartment!!

Was really pleased with the food here, they always made an effort and cooked something different every day. There really is something to eat for everyone, even the fussy eaters!!

Even if the food wasn’t your cup of tea there is a pizzeria and burger bar on the complex.

The only major disappointment I had with this holiday was the fact that on the 4th day I saw a dead cockroach in the toilets in reception! It was the only one I saw but it still made me scream!

If you think about it though, you're expected to see at least 1 cockroach on holiday!

Overall I would definitely recommend this complex - very clean, very friendly, massive pool, and great atmosphere.

Overall for the resort - would recommend to an older couple or family, not to a group of young people (unless going for the surfing) or younger couple.

Stayed for a week with wife and 2 children (1 infant). Pleasant complex and not too crowded for Feb. half term.

Our apartment was situated at the rear of the complex and a bit of a pain when going to the pool armed with a pushchair / inflatable’s etc.

There are 2 separate pool complexes, one which has two shallow pools for the kids however this gets busy, The other pool complex has a large salt water pool and is quite pleasant for swimming.

Don't let the salt water put you off. The water is crystal clear and as long as you refrain from swallowing it ,you will have many a good time (water cold in Feb though) there is also a nice children’s pool next to it, quite large but again salt water.

The apartments are ok and spacious but there is a charge for using the TV. I took a mini DVD player to keep the kids amused during early eve.

Changes of towels are infrequent and you may have to ask at reception other wise you may not see any.

There is a great bowling complex on site with pool tables and other games, this is ideal for a "night in" with the kids.

The town itself is about 15 to 20 min walk down a pleasant slope there are some great restaurants including Chinese and many steak houses. There are quite a few bars for the drinkers and most accommodate kids.

It is advised to get a taxi back to the complex due to the hill but taxis are very cheap.

The best breakfast / snack place is Tiffany’s, this is situated at the rear of the complex near the Oasis Tamarindo, it is British owned and they are very friendly, their full English is to die for.

It also worth a short trip by taxi to the sand dune beaches at the south of the resort for great views and white sand, however not suitable for swimming as the waves are quite large for kids.

Overall a good holiday apart our 4 days of cloud and constant wind.

Fantastic complex that is very well maintained, public areas are immaculate and facilities are of a high standard.

We did not venture into the pools as the weather was not that warm, in fact we had 3 days of torrential rain.

Our only complaint about the accommodation, arose from the fact that the rain water leaked in and the on-site pub - resembled a waterfall for the better part of two 2 days.

Overall, the accommodation was of a very high standard, we had a kettle and toaster included in our apartment ,unlike the previous comment and found the maid service to be very good.

The entertainment in the club was very good and the Thomson Children reps that do the early evening entertainment, really put their hearts into it and generally the adults respond as well as the children, leading to a good atmosphere.

We would recommend the restaurants in the old town for food both Spanish and English, although, for the best chips in an English style bar you must go to Castaways on the front - they were delicious & accompanied by some great sing along music as well!

The hotel is a little out of the main resort. The walk in is very pleasant (and downhill) however we tended to be a little tired coming back so the cheap taxis were worth it.

We were in a self-catering 1 bedroom apartment, on arrival there was no kettle, quickly resolved when I spoke to reception. Slightly annoyed that toasters and high chairs had to be hired.

The rooms were spacious and clean, we didn't see a single insect. Maid service was 5x a week, which was ample. Sometimes towels were taken and not replaced, again resolved with a call to reception. I didn't like the fact that TV was 6E per day.

We love the old part of town which has the better shops and restaurants. Heads-up if you come out of the apartment and turn right you arrive at a small arcade of shops.

There is an English restaurant there that I would avoid though, the food was awful, serving ravioli cases as lasagne!

The Spanish restaurants are lovely though. Overall we were happy with accommodation and would go back. Hope this helps someone.

We decided to book a holiday for the family (2 adults 3 teenagers) for our first ever Xmas away from home and booked two one-bedroom apartments in OasisPpapagayo.

The rooms were good size however third/fourth bed is double sofa bed that really would only fit one- unless two small children. I was glad I had booked the two rooms.

I didn't attempt to go into the pools however the boys did and said the pools were very salty, so much so that they didn't bother going in again. But they were able to go to the beach where they enjoyed the waves there.

However that is the only criticism- we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here there was loads to do and everyone was really friendly.

We went on two trips- Catlanza, the boat trip -good day out and although bit breezy good fun. Guerros- laser form of "paintballing" much better fun and less injuries. As the only female in the party I was a bit unsure of this activity but found it to be a really enjoyable day out.

We hired a car and although a bit unsure at first it took my husband no time at all to master the art of driving on the other side of the road from usual. This was helped no doubt by the fact that the roads were in excellent condition and usually well sign posted.

There was entertainment every night on site which was very enjoyable and the quiz night was extremely enjoyable as it was done on an interactive basis on a screen with “captains" picked for each team.

The GREASE night was also fun for all the family.

The bowling alley was 10 Euro a game but was conveniently on site so we could let the boys head off on their own without worrying too much about them and an internet site allowed them to keep in touch with friends at home.

Good 10/15 mins. Walk to town but taxi only cost 2.50Euro. Most people on this site stated Netto supermarket cheapest to shop but I found the local supermarkets where the locals themselves shop to be the most reasonable.

All in all well worth the money and I would recommend this accommodation to all.

I enjoyed the holiday very much, in fact it has been one of my favorite holidays mostly because of the resort I was staying in.

The room we had was downstairs and had a lovely garden, and I found that all the rooms were very spacious. The kitchen was not very big but enough size for 3 but anymore it wouldn’t really be practical. The bathroom was a brilliant size and the mirror was the best, it was big and it was also very clear.

The resort was fab. The pizza restaurant was the best one there, and the people who it was owned by were lovely and always had time for a chat. The main bar in where the entertainment was very nice as well and had many chats with the waiters who were lovely.

The swimming pools were nice and refreshing but the only down side was the salt water. I like to have a good swim but if you had a little scratch it would hurt immensely, and also your eyes if you went under water. The chlorine pools were nice but were a little shallow and small.

Over all the country was gorgeous, the people, the boat rides, beaches, restaurants’ and bars where all great. The main bar we always went to was the rock cafe in the town, they serve lovely food, and the entertainment at night is fantastic especially Saturday night. All the waiters are very kind and give you all the service you need.

I would defiantly come back to visit Fuerteventura and stay in Oasis Papagayo again, hopefully within the next year.

I must say that my husband and I had a fab week’s holiday here.

Our apartment was clean and spacious for the 2 of us (perhaps a little cosy for 4 but wouldn't be too cramped). It had most facilities for simple cooking what I would say that it had no scissors and the bottle opener was a little antiquated (if you intend to open more than the occasional bottle of wine take one from home).

The pools are very cool at this time of the year but after the initial shock they were very pleasant. What I particularly like is that the kids tend to go to the fresh water pools leaving the main salt water ones for the adults.

The entertainment during the day and evening wasn't up to much but that did not affect us as we always go for a walk in the town. Talking of the walk we found it a rather nice stroll which only took 10 mins max, and after a large meal and a few drinks it was good to walk it off a little.

All in all if you are looking for a relaxing break with not too much to over work the mind I would recommend it and I will be going back at this time next year. What better recommendation than a 2nd visit.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town more than enough for 2 weeks. We found the Slow Boat 2 in the commercial centre was excellent none of the kept warm buffet here, menu only. And the Blue Jeans Steak House in a side street down by the police station was the best steak house in the resort.

Firstly I just want to point out that this review is for the 3 Bedroom, 2 bathroom villas with their own swimming pool that are situated on the perimeter of the complex.

We booked the Villa through MedHotels.com, and booked the flight separate with thomascook.com. We arranged a transfer with Med Hotels, and when we arrived their rep was on hand to show us to a little mini-bus that took us straight to the complex.

On arrival there were only us (party of 4) checking in, so I cannot comment on what other people are saying took a long time. When we arrived it was dark, and was quite hard trying to find our way through the complex to the villa, but once you have done it once, it is easy to find after that.

The villas were very very spacious. There are 3 bedrooms, all of a very decent size. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite which is HUGE. It has a bath, shower and 2 sinks. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom, which again is massive, and has bath, shower & 2 sinks. There is a dining area with a large dining table, very well equipped kitchen (includes microwave, washer machine, toaster etc), and there is a living area - ours had a leather sofa, and TV which is completely free. There was also a cooling unit (fan) in the living area (again it was free). There was a safe (again free). There was a barbecue, private garden at the back of the villa, which had a gated driveway for a car. The villa was also secured by a burglar alarm.

The maid service was good, plenty of clean towels, and fresh linen. Because the level of cleanliness was so good, we did not see a single cockroach during our stay. The private pool (freshwater) was wonderful. It was checked and cleaned regularly, and the freshwater was refreshing after a day in the saltwater pools of the complex.

The complex was good, plenty of pools to choose from. The pools at the bottom of the complex are freshwater, but the pool bar was not open during our stay, so we stayed around the main pools at the top (saltwater).

The restaurant in the complex was excellent (recommend the local fish dish). The Italian restaurant in the shopping complex was Ok, but there are better in town.

Ten pin bowling alley is good, and not expensive.

All in all I would definitely recommend this complex, but would add that if you can afford the villas, as opposed to the apartments they are REALLY worth it. We are looking to go back next year, to a villa.
