Eden Apartments

We arrived on the 13th of august family of 5.So it was only a couple of weeks ago and we had read the reviews for these aparmtents and some were bad but the others were saying what amazing staff and facalities were avalible after being there for 2 weeks we loved it really enjoyable 2 kids parks,pool tables and a big swimming pool to keep the kids entertained.For the adults the sun terrace is the perfect place to go if you want quiet but 4-5 is happy hour so drinks are a bargain at that time and you can also play 3 games of cash bingo everday.Our only problems with the eden was the food i do not recomend.The maids were brillant couldnt fault them aswell as the receptionists and bar staff.Only 2 minute walk to the europa center one bar to recommend is the sports man bar its upstairs.The gardens around the complex were beautiful apartments basic but big and airy and fits 6 people dont listen to the bad reviews a good
complex over all.

We have just come back from a two week stay at the eden appartments. Although we read the reviews before hand we were a little unsure of what to expect. I can 100% say it was fine for what we needed.The rooms were basic but had everything we needed. The cleaners were brilliant and only missed 2 days of the 2 weeks. All the staff on the complex were brilliant and friendly. After reading reviews that they were rude we never once found this.We had 3 cockroches but there was spray already in the cupboards to deal with this problem. You do see them outside in the evenings but this is through out the whole island. Nothing that a size 8 cant deal with anyhow. You can upgrade to the all inclusive for 30 euros adults and 15 for kids. I would recommend this as it was brilliant. You have to do this for 5 days but the food is brilliant. Taxis are great they work out about £3 and there always around to get one. If you are a bigger party you have to get a few like us as there are no bigger taxis. At this price though it works out fine.
entertainment on site is excellant for all the family to enjoy.
The timeshare salesmen are not a problem just politely say no thanks and carry on walking and they give up or just keep saying we are going home tomorrow.
If you need any tickets for aqualand ect id recommend going in the baracoa centre(inside the europa you cant miss it)and go to the info centre and speak to Gerry he will go out his way to help sort your trips out and he doesn't charge any extra on the tickets he also provides transport there and back for 5 euros each.
enjoy your holiday and try to ignore the negative reviews some people want a 5*complex when they only pay for a 3* which this accomidation is.

just back from the eden july 2011 had a great time loved the apartments spoitless couldnt complain at all staff so friendly food great jamie the entertaiment was great with the kids the eden was that good my girls didnt want da leave them day or night wer booking for next year i would recomend them da familys

Just returned from eden apartments, booked this holiday for 12 people. When we arrived in the early hours of the morning we were greeted by a very unhelpful receptionist, we were just handed the keys a map of the rooms and sent on our way, not very helpful.
When we went to the pool in the morning we were greeted with some very aggressive spanish people throwing peoples towels and belongings over hedges because they wanted all the sunbeds for themselves and also grown men threatning my daughter who is 16 and 3 of her friends, I seeked help from nearby resturant manager who was less than helpful. This continued for 1 week and ruined our overall holiday experience.The staff seemed to have family members or staff staying at the resort which caused tension as they seemed to favour the rights of these people rather than paying guests, not impressed by this at all.
Also we were supposed to get 4 rooms, but on arrival were only given 3, the rooms were cramped, not enough wardrobe or drawers available for 4 people staying for 2 weeks. The maid service was sparce, every 2-3 days if you were lucky! Also the rooms on the top level are far to hot and require some sort of air-con. Before booking I was advised this resort was close to the main centre of Puerto Rico, maybe if you were an expert in abseiling. It was 8 euros return in a taxi each time and considering there was 12 of us this was a added expence that in the long run became an expensive one.

Well it was the second time for us at The Eden Apartments, as a family we have enjoyed quite luxurious holidays, but decided to have a cheap break, and wanted nothing more to do than relax by the pool, I have visited Gran Canaria on a regular basis over the years, so we opted for the Eden Apartments in Puerto Rico. We had a fantastic holiday, the apartments were clean and lovely, we cooked our own breakfast in the morning, ate by the pool in the day, great food and great service, and ate out in the Europa Centre every night, highly recommend El Toro. The staff ay the Eden Apartments were fantastic, very polite, welcoming, and overall very helpful and pleasant, my son 8, spentthe whole day in and out of the pool, or playing by the slide, there were activities for the children as well, we relaxed by the pool, sipping on the lovely cocktails the Eden has to offer. This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays I have been on. There are trips available, and on our second visit we went on a boat trip over to Puerto Mogan, a beatiful place, with some gorgaous fish restaurants. I can't fault the Eden at all, and have just booked to go back in October, and can't wait. A very happy Williams Family

We returned from Eden in May 2011. It was clean, tidy and the garden was pretty. For what we paid it was good value. However, the constant tauting from timeshares and resturants near the Europa centre spoilt it for us. We hired a car and headed towards Port de Mogan and Taurito, which was much nicer.
The hotel was basic, drinks were expensive, 2 Euros for a coke in a plasctic small cup was steep, wouldn't mind if it wasn't on tap and I was in a 5*!
We only stayed around the pool a couple of times, as it was Canarian holiday and there were lots of locals there, in huge family groups, who were smoking around the pool, very loud and rough in the pool and we had 2 small children, who couldn't cope with the constant tidal waves from them throwing eachother in the pool!
The pool was another disappointment, as there was no shallow end, so my children weren't able to just potter around! There was a 'shallow' pool, which was a jacuzzi pool about the size of a snooker table which was full of leaves!

Well all i can say is this place has nothing good about it, me and my partner stayed here for a week, best thing about it was coming home.When we arrived there was no warm welcome ,just an order for our name, passport, given keys and then sent on our merry way.Yes the place is pretty due to good gardners but upon setting down in the room it seemed very cold and empty with only the bare necessitys to get you by.The pool was stated on booking the holiday to be heated but wasn't infact it was quite the opposite, the bar staff were rude and very ignorant ,and watch out for the waiters they will take their tip before you even offer it no matter how much it is.The rooms were covered in dust n due to me being asthmatic not the best mix! Told by the rep when we booked it was close to amenities i don't know what planet she was on ,certainly not gran canaria, the amenities were a straining walk away up and down 600+ steps or at a cost of 3 euros each way .All in all a nightmare start to what should have bin a super holiday.WE tried to make the best of it because thats what any person would do and at the end of the day what choice had we got as the travel rep we complained to was not at all interested in our complaint.Will never book with this tour operatour or go back to gran canaria as it has completely put us off.My advice is don't waste your money stear well clear!!!!

We spent 2 weeks at these apartments in September, had a brilliant holiday, the apartments were cleaned every day, new towels as well. All of the staff in the apartments and pool bar and entertainment staff were fantastic. It was my birthday when we were there and my friends ordered me a birthday cake from the restaurant which was delicious. I would recommend these apartments to anyone, and will certainly be back again.

We returned from the Eden Apartments on the 6th Sept having just spent a week their :( we should of bookd for longer.....When we arrived we were greeted at reception and directed toour apartment which was near the pool and on the ground floor to which we where very pleased about. We went to the bar/resturant as we arrived in the evening and was hungry and thirsty. I ordered lamb chops to which were properly the best I have had. The food could not be faulted all week. We eat here lunch and most evenings. The entertainment was second to none,would suit all. From a parrot show to a dance show. The pool was always clean and so was our 2 bedroom spacious apartment. It maybe up high in the mountains but everything is accessable via foot or taxi. Europa Centre being 5 minutes walk where you have more bars and resturants if you fancy change. The only complain I have is that we didnt book for longer. Hoping to return new august due to my children (14, 12 and 10) having such a great time and keep on about returning...If te kids are happy then my holiday is great. Thanks Eden xx
