We stayed at the Taurito Princess 27.11.10 to 4.12.10. We have stayed at the Fuencaliente Princess on Palma 3 times but unfortunately the Taurito Princess does not come close to it in terms of quality. The hotel is in the best spot of the resort and has pleasant but small... more

We arrived on 22 Dec for 1 week. We have 3 children aged 4, 3 & 1 yrs old. Our transfer coach from the airport to the hotel broke down, so we had to wait an hour for the replacement coach!. The hotel was clean and we had an adjoining bedroom with the kids which was a very... more

fab time
15/5/04 - 31/5/04 We had been to many all inclusive hotels before and we had heard that this had just turned into a all inclusive so we could of been a little bit concerned but there was definately no need, the hotel was fanstastic kept really clean with really beautiful views from your balcony and the waiters/barpeople were absolutely fanstastic really happy to be there.Food very enjoable with lots of choices. To start the evening off there was a lovely piano bar this is where you got to meet everyone and so many friendships were made. Evening enterainment not the best but that didnot bother us too much. Weather fanstastic altogether a really lovely holiday and would recomend this hotel to all couples but not familes with teenage children as there was not alot for them to do. Definately a 4 star rating
Great value for money!
Ideal location if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing hol.The all inc. works well, sign for drinks, coffee etc. The buffet style rest. was really good with a great selection of food.Got bored of the food in other resorts but not here. No need to bring towels, they are provided and there are always lots of sun loungers. All the rooms have a wonderful sea view and are clean. The staff made a lot of effort to entertain the children and we didn't hear anyone complain. Our only disappointment was there was nowhere to go walking. The roads are really narrow and not suitable for pedestrians. The pool area was lovely overlooking the beach which was not suitable for little children, lots of rocks and black sand. We had a lovely relaxing hol. and the staff were A1
It was fab!!
The wee mannie in the suit at dinner was lovely. It was a very posh hotel and the rooms were lovely and clean. although the cleaners tended to come early. Breakfast was yummy and there was a good variety for the evening meal. The photographer was also very good. All-in-all the holiday was fantastic and the camel ride in maspalomas is a must. Ta very much x
Out of this world lifts!!
Spent 10 days at the Taurito Princess- really good. Food good, wine a bit dear, staff brilliant, Doctor very expensive - keen on jabs in the bottom!!!! Get a room on the left of the hotel as you look at it - the sea view is much better. Why oh why do the balcony lights go out at 10.55pm (precisely). Are we supposed to be tucked up in bed by then??? Noticed that the Suite Princess balcony lights stay on 5 minutes longer (knew we shouldn't have booked the cheap deal!!)
Pleasantly Suprised
I visited this website before i went on holiday to Gran Canaria to stay in the Taurito Princess Hotel, and as the hotel was from the platinum range i was suprised to see some negative reviews. I was however pleasantly suprised to arrive in superb resort, together with a wonderful hotel and weather to match! The hotel was situated over-looking the beach-which was the only negative side to the holiday, as it was small with black sand. The gardens that the hotel possesed were beautiful, as were the views from the balcony. Each room was cleaned daily to a fine standard, and as was the rest of the hotel. The pool and pool-side were surrounded by plants on one side, and the other side over-looked the sea. The food was served in a buffet style every evening, and there was plenty for everyone to choose from. There was at least two fish dishes served each evening together with at least two other dishes.Breakfast was also served in buffet style. My overall opinion of Taurito Princess was that it was definatly worth going back to. That just about says it all!
Loved the heated pool!!
Just spent a week there,I do agree it is a quiet location but just what I wanted. Even my 18 year old daughter enjoyed herself. 10euros got her,and the friends she made, into Puerto Rico by taxi for the night life. My other 2 daughters enjoyed their stay (ages 17 and 14). I would say that most of the staff were excellent apart from one bad tempered waiter in the bar. They need to sort out the evening entertainment though considering it is a 4 star hotel they put on 2star acts. The entertainment could do with a big overahaul as in one week it consisted of 3-4 acrobatic acts and no disco at the end to finish the night off. Other than tha we had a good time. The pool barman makes a great Sangria from scratch!!
Great Holiday at Taurito Princess
We had a great holiday at the Taurito Princess. The food was fantastic, we ate far too much. We were lucky we missed the bad weather the week before the 25th Feb. The hotel is clean, staff friendly and entertainment good, especially The Drifters. The only faults were the lifts broke down most days, which isn't good if you are older and on the 11th floor and the free buses were so full that only the first people in the queue could get on them. It is well worth updating to all inclusive for ?12.50 a day, we had free drinks, ice creams, snacks and lunch. We would definately go back again next year. The bathrooms could be updated but everything worked and there were clean towels every day.
1/2 a stormy week!
A great week was had by all 9 of us, ages from 2 1/2 to 60. Staff v.friendly Food v.good (service inc.bar was just ok) Entertainment good Kids ent. excellent facilities v.good accom ok great views lifts very painful. weather first 4 days great BUT last 3 days HURRICANE!!!!!!!! overall a great holiday "I'll be back!"
A great place for a quiet relaxing holiday
Food was excellent. As the week went on it became a little repetitive, but there was always something new for lunch & dinner. Two days in we went all inclusive which for 18 was excellent value. You get a good lunch and any local drinks you want. The beer, wine and spirits on offer were all fine. Some cocktails, fruit drinks were available as well as still or sparkling water. It was great not to have to compare prices with home, worry about rounds or tips, or whether having a second glass of wine at lunch would cost more than if we had gone for a bottle in the first place. When we booked only had suites left. We enjoyed the extra space and bigger bathroom, but for £70 each less a normal room would have been fine. We spent very little time in the room. The morning race for the sunbeds is a consideration. The hotel seemed fairly full and there were always free beds somewhere, but the best positions went quite early. Reserving beds is supposed to be forbidden but most people did.Free bus from hotel to Morgan and Puerto Rico.Pools were nice size and usually empty. In November one of the pools is supposedly heated but it was cold to get in, nice when you're in. The beach towels provided were a good size and softThe rooms are east facing so no sun on the balcony on a night. The cliffs meant no direct sun on the balcony in the morning until about 9amThe air con in our rooms worked well3 glass lifts might be a little scary for some but you soon get used to it. Lift area done very cleverly so it s unclear if you are inside or outsideWe had to pay 12 to use the empty small fridge, which we thought a bit mean. You must also pay for the safe but we didn't bother. There were no tea making facilities, we took a travel kettle and mugsService was good everywhere except the piano bar where service was poor
Franks 12th visit in Sept. 2003
My 12th. Holiday at the Taurito Princess was excellent as usual (its like my second home now). I have made many friends there. Gonzalo who plays and sings in the Piano Bar has become a close friend - we often exchange phone calls and he keeps me up to date. The Staff are great and always give a supurb service. The food is exceptionally good and I know that the kitchen has won many awards ( I was there once when the TV were filming following another award).
