We have just returned from a week at this complex. It is about 7Kms from the main resort of kardamena.The complex is very clean and the staff are most welcolming and helpful and score 10/10. The beach contains free sunbeds and brolly's and some free watersport activities. There are also jet ski's and power boat rides available for a fee. watch out for jelly fish!!
Our room had a damp musty smell which we could not get rid off by opening the doors and letting the heat in.
The hotel has no secure area/room to leave luggage when waiting for return flight so you really need to pay to keep your room.
The food was a huge let down for a hotel with 4*'s. The food is in trays on a worksurface under heat lamps to keep warm, so you have no idea of how long its been sitting there! and its also dangerous for kiddies helping themselves. They do not have bacon for those who expect that as part of their cooked breakfast.The food choice is very limited, and you often have to wait for food to be brought out from the kitchen, this was 10 mins on more than one occassion. The choice of salards is very poor, and if you are a veggie l would not recommed this hotel. As we left the toaster had been at the repairers for three days.
No-one we spoke to intended returning to the hotel purely because the food is so awful. So don't go hoping for 4* quaility food. We scored the food 4-5 out of 10.
If the quality of the food was improved people would come back again.

The hotel was very basic. From arriving there at 4 am and having to sit in reception till 7.30 am I was not impressed from the start.
It was close to the beach, which was very pebbly so needed to wear shoes when on the beach. The water sports were not open till the last two days of our stay and then it was just the peddeloes and the canoes.
The rooms were very basic and had to a pay a deposit for air conditioning and the TV. The toilet broke whilst we were staying there and had to have some one out 4 times and it was still not working properly.
The food was very poor there was not much selection and never looked very appetising. There was a microwave next to the food stating that if food was not warm to put it in the microwave!
The entertainment was very unorganised and there was not enough seating for all of the guests on a night meaning people were left standing or sitting on steps. Overall it was very poor and was a long way of being a 4* hotel.

We went to the Akti Club July/Aug 04.
Overall everything was ok, it was like Butlins with Sunshine. The food was good with plenty of choice, the accommodation although basic was clean, the maid service was good.
The beach full of sand, stones rocks and boulders was difficult to walk on but the snorkeling was excellent.
It is worth hiring a car (not expensive works out cheaper than buses and tours). Visit Kos Town, Kefalos, Paradise Beach and Bubble beach these places are a must.
Be warned you will experience earth tremors from time to time but I am assured this is quite a normal happening.
Only miserable member of staff was George in the pool bar at Akti. You are allowed to use the pools at Kalimera Mare and Kos but you are not all inclusive for drinks etc, ice creams are free at these pools.
The only other thing to mention is the wind (gales) they blow for days on end. The sun is very hot so the gales did not spoil our holiday, no rain or clouds for two whole weeks, lovely.
I am 60 my husband 55, we took our 8 year old granddaughter and we all had a jolly good time. We met some very nice people there who I am sure we shall keep in touch with.
The animation team are Italian and very entertaining especially Bruno. The JMC kids club team are also very good and look after the children with various activities every day.
