My partner and myself have just returned from 2 weeks all inclusive stay at this hotel, and I had to send in this review from our point of view.
The hotel is situated on the cliff top on the west tip of the island, and has stunning views, either of the beautiful cove or out to sea and the Majorca coastline.
We actually couldn't find fault with the hotel, which was spotlessly clean and had a wonderful clean lemon smell when you entered. The main pool is a salt water pool, which is inspected every couple of hours and if anything is spotted which may taint the water, the pool is cordened off and emptied, cleaned and then filled up again from the sea. Given that this is sea water, it is not heated, so can be a shock when you first get in, however is very boyant, and we felt safe. Also there is a lifeguard watching over the 3 pools.
The entertainment team were very friendly and encouraging of everyone to join in with the games, which included water polo, water areobics, rifle shooting and archery for the grown ups and loads to do for the kids.
Our room had stunning views over the cala bosh headland and out to sea. this was also spotless, and a large fan and air con was provided. There is also a mini fridge in the rooms, so a travel kettle is recomended to take along.
The meals were mostly typically spanish, however we always found something to eat, if we didnt fancy the hot menu. The salads were lovely, fresh and tasty, and twice during our stay, there was a full side of fruit of every description, and twice again, full of cheeses.
The staff were great, very very friendly, always with a smile and a greeting, but did leave people alone if they didn't want to converse.
The bar staff were lovely, even though they were working really hard and never stopped, they also had a smile and a greeting.
If faults was to be found, the entertainment at night was mostly awful, and this may have been a clever ruse to get people into the town (where there were good tribute bands on every night) and away from the free bar. and we would have liked to just have a snack sometimes by the pool area instead of having to get dressed and go into the restaurant for lunch.
but everything considered, we had a fantistic 2 weeks and will be booking again.

just got back after 10 days in a hotel that advertise for families and young children what a load of rubish i have a 14 6 and 2 year old my son went to the kids club which he could not understand because the host kept speaking in spanish i told him speak in engish but just give me a funny look. they put the same food out every night for children which is fishfingers and chips or pasta and chips and nothing else. we paid for half board but ended up going out for meals in the town every night. its just full of old spanish couples who dont like children its not safe round the pools because there close to the edge of cliffs and kids like to exsplore. if your a couple you will enjoy this hotel if you have young children stay well clear

this was our second holiday here and it was better than the first, my husband and myself came with our 3 daughters aged 17, 17, & 9. when we were allocated our 2 rooms we asked if we could have 2 with an adjoining door as we had the previous year, this was sorted immediately with no fuss. as soon as we got to our rooms the maid arrived with some complimentary champagne & soft drinks for us and an invitation to a cocktail evening as we had been here the previous year it was there way of saying thankyou.
The head waiter gretted us as old friends and remembered my youngest daughter as "beautiful blue eyes" which he had nicknamed her last year, we were given an excellent table by the window with lovely veiws, as the days went by we were recognised by a number of staff who are all very friendly cheerful and helpful. The food is excellent the service is excellent the entertainment is goog especially for youg children & even my teenage daughters enjoyed a lot of the shows, and they love going into town to Blue Breeze later in the evening as this is full of people there age.
We are returning here again this year but it will be just the 3 of us cause the 2 teenagers are now 18 and are doing there own thing. I cant wait to return there and am positive we will have a wonderful time for the 3rd year running.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel and had a lovely time. The hotel staff are all polite and very helpful. We stayed in a superior room which had fantastic sea and pool views and the rooms were kept very clean - superior rooms have a fridge/mini bar, kettle with tea, coffee etc, play station, dressing gowns and free newspaper every day. The air conditioning worked very well in the room, infact during the night sometimes was a bit too cold, but is controlled in the room and can be turned off.
All the pools were nice, although didn't particularly like the salt water. The childrens pool was emptied every night and the medium and large pools water was changed at least 4 times during our stay, so was always clean. You could also get a sunbed at anytime during the day, which we could not believe!
Entertainment was pretty good in the hotel they always either did their own show or had an outside act in, which the ones we saw were good. There is a lot more spanish than english in hotel so found the entertainment team spoke mainly in spanish then english, but sometimes could not understand what they were saying!
The food was an excellent standard. I am a fussy eater but always found something really nice every night and the puddings were lovely. Breakfast is your usual bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, crossiants, hams, cereals etc.
The kids club you could come and go but our 5 year old only went once and didn't want to go again as he was just happy playing in the pool.
The only negative I would have with this hotel is that food and drink in the snack bar was really expensive. We was half board and only ate outside of the hotel 1 night as we found the food good in the hotel, we still managed to spend £900 in 2 weeks on drinks and snacks within the hotel! I would advise buying bottled water and cans of drink really cheaply from the supermarket attached the the hotel.
The resort is good for kids with a lot of the bars and restaurants having bouncy castles, trampolines and play centres attached.
We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend to anyone with a young family. Definitely should be higher than a 3 star.

Just got back from a weeks stay half board in Almarante Farragut and I can honestly say we had a fantastic time. The hotel is clean, welcoming and set on the cliffs has an amazing view from all the bedrooms. we arrived at midnight and a meal was waiting for us when we arrived. We asked for a pool view if possible and when we looked out of the room the view was amazing, we were overlooking a quiet sandy bay with panoramic views for miles, The hotel is on the edge of Cala n forcat and as such is away from the noise and bustle of the holiday town, however its only a short walk to all the bars and resturaunts. The hotel itself is a 3 star but far better than any 3 star I have stayed in before. We were half board and the food has to be the best buffet menu I have encounterd. lots of choice and usually an english dish is available if wanted. The waiting staff are very smart and efficient and are vey quick at clearing up and making sure everything is ok. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds and umberellas for shade. there are 2 pools , both are more than 4ft deep all round but there is also a small 'paddling ' pool for none swimmers. The pools use salted water from the sea. overall the pool area is kept very clean and we didn't even get any problems with flies which is unusuall as the weather was averaging 35 degrees. Our maid ( we think she was called Polly) has to have a mention, She kept the room spotless for us and always gave us a cheery Hola and smile each day. The only down side ( if we have to find one) was the air conditioning in the room , we didn't have any control over the time it was on and sometimes the room was just too hot to sleep. however on a plus side all rooms have a large ceiling fan so this was a great help. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and we are already planning to go again next year.

Just arrived back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and we have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
There was always a good selection of food and the same thing was never served twice. Even at breakfast there was a good selection. The only downside was that it is a buffet restaurant and not table service, but this didn't bother us.
The staff work very hard and are always willing to help, including the entertainment team who also provided activities during the day for both children and adults. We felt that the area of cala'n forcat was fairly quiet but the excellent entertainment provided by the hotel meant we only went out a few evenings during the week. The main strip of restaurants and bars was only a few minutes walk away.
We would definately recommended hiring a car, it cost about the same as hiring a car in the UK, but well worth it if you wish to see the rest of the island. We would also recommend the Fiesta boat trip that departs from Citradella and sails along the South West coast, stopping at various immaculate virgin beaches for a swim and a sunbathe.
The hotel is next to a very very small beach, but is only used by hotel residents so was never busy and due to its location it was quite a sun trap. A slightly larger beach at cala'n banes is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel. We were quite concerned about the reports of jellyfish in the sea, however we only saw 2 jellyfish the whole week and as the water is very clear, they are easy to spot.
We will certainly return to this hotel in the future.

Just come back from a week at this hotel with my husband & we absolutely loved it - it should be a 4 star not a 3 star. Food wise, I'm a veggie & although they really cater for meat eaters, I still found the food great as I love salads & pasta. The cakes & desserts are to die for too!! The staff are very polite and helpful and if you have kids there is loads of entainment provided for them.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and familty

Just returned from Almirante Farragut & we had a fantastic time. I went with my mum & dad & my two children aged 4 and 8. We stayed all inclusive for a week.
There was plenty to do - loads of entertainment, kept the kids happy! Hotel was spotless, rooms were cleaned every day, staff were friendly & the food was lovely, always peltny of choice!
A lovely little cove beach just down the steps next to the hotel.
