Miramare Beach Hotel

Four star this hotel aint. When we got there for our 11 day holiday some of the staff mostly cleaners were on strike as they hadn't been paid for 2 months, on talking to a taverna owner they do this every year. I have every sympathy for the staff and don't blame them but what had the management done with all the money we had paid them! If you like wildlife ie wasps and rats then this is the one for you. Wasps are swarming you throughout breakfast and lunch in the canteen as i cant bring myself to call it a restaurant and whilst bathing.
The pool didn't get cleaned throughout our trip and was looking very yucky at the end, there was also three cracked floor tiles by one of the pools.
We had gone all inclusive but the drinks selection was rubbish, the wine was like vinegar, the soft drinks tasted cheap and only 2 cocktails an ouzo one which I never met anyone who drank it and the cocktail of the day which never changed. The only other spirit that was included was brandy. The food was boring and salty therefore spent a lot of money going out for food and drinks. If you do go out we would recommend the grill taverna up a steep hill by the supermarket and the rose garden esp the kafitos the lamb shank.
The rooms got cleaned every other day and when i say cleaned they did do the floor, changed the top sheet never the bottom one, which we asked for and changed ourselves. The towels were never changed unless we asked for it and then they ran out although they did supply us with beach towels. The bathroom was cleaned the day before we left, we ended up buying our own cleaning products as the toilet smelt bad.
The room also had a plug with all the wires hanging out of the wall we did complain at reception and they did sort it but this should not have happended in the first place.
We did have a fun holiday but only because we meet some other nice people we would not go here again. If you use lords travels expect them to be late for any trips you book (30 mins) and 75 mins late to pick you up leading to a couple nearling missing their flight.

We have just returned from a weeks hol and have no complaints about the rooms, food, activities etc, we thought the restaurant staff were really friendly and hard working!
As for the bar staff...i have never ever come across such rude and ignorant people- they looked at you as if you were scum and that they were doing you a favour by abruptly slamming the ( poor quality) drinks at you!!
They obviously didn't enjoy their work.As for the security guy- he is so ignorant- i smiled and spoke on a couple of occasions as we were returning to the hotel and gave up after that as he just completely ignored us!
Why don't the management realise that it is because of these people...even though everything else was not so bad- it really puts you off ever wanting to go there again!!

Was really looking forward to a relaxing break with my 2 kids, wanted to chill in sun while they played in pool. There are not enough sunbeds at either pool so guests battle daily to 'grab' them, which becomes really tedious. People were even leaving towels to keep chairs in bar area, such was the shortage of seating. Managers not interested in complaints, reception staff rude and unhelpful. Was promised room to change on last day, when we asked were told someone was in it, and the receptionist just shrugged and said no other rooms (in a 600 room hotel) available, while we stood there in swimwear. Not all bad, food good, views stunning, location good. Busy main road between different parts of hotel so no go to let kids wander between two. Rooms 3 star not 4, ants in many rooms. Overall disappointed, would really love to say otherwise, but am being truthful.

After reading some bad reviews I was concerned it was not going to be a very good holiday - How wrong I was. The hotel was friendly, helpful, the food was excellent, the rooms were clean and cleaned regularly, the evening entertainment was very good and the club representatives were all lovely.Should you wish to venure out of the hotel there are local shops and bars on your doorstop or tavernas along the beach front. There was a lovely mixture of nationalities which made it a great atmosphere. I'd like to keep Miramare Hotel a secret but everyone deserves to know that it's a lovely hotel.

We have just got back from 10 days staying at the Miramare Beach Hotel and overall a really nice time. We had a room at the upper part of the resort and first thoughts were negative in regards to being housed across the road from the main part of the resort. We soon discovered talking to other people that the rooms where better than the bungalows which are situated on the main part of the resort. The pool area at the top was fab and a nice bar there as well. Staff were all friendly apart from one woman on the main reception. Loads of food and some choice as well. Local wine was nice. Our one slight negative is the entertainment for the children. Kids club is not brilliant although the evening entertainment was fun if not slightly basic. Loved the resturant which overlooked the sea so you could just sit looking out to sea.
The resort is split in two with a busy road going between it so be careful as local drivers don't always stop when the green man is showing...you have been warned
We really loved Corfu town centre and spent three days there enjoying the shopping and historic buildings. Summing up the hotel, it is clean and tidy and we really enjoyed being there. It is good value for money depending on what you expect. We paid £271 per person for 10 days all inclusive and thought it was well worth the money. Loved Corfu as an island and would go back again to see more of it.

This place claims to be a four star hotel, but in reality is is a run down hotel. Rooms are smelly and mouldy, invested with ants. Pool dirty, food tasteless and the wine is undrinkable. Poor cleaning in the room and central toilets in the reception area. MOST IMPORANTLY; A woman fainted in the water 3 meters off shore and was floating in the water for approx 6 minutes until she was spotted by her partner. There was no lifeguard at the pools or the beach. No first aid available,hotel guests gave first aid and mouth to mouth while management stood by and did not call the ambulance for 30 minutes. The woman sadly passed away before the ambulance arrived 40 minutes later. The hotel tried to keep the incident quiet and pretended nothing had happened. This place should be investigated and shut down as it is a hazard to anybody staying there.

This was my second time that I visited Miramare Beach Hotel. I can mention that the specific hotel is both amazing for families and couples. The first time that I went there was with my wife and the second one with my wife and our two children’s. Several good offers regarding prices was running that period of time. The location is fabulous. Food quality impressive. Visitors are offered several types of activities. Hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The location was superb, value for money, food was ok with different varieties every night. We went there last August with some friends and we had an excellent time. Everything we wanted was inside the hotel- spa, relaxation, water sports, food, dancing, disco, shows, animation team, drinks.Everything. We barely left the hotel since we felt that everything was provided there and even when we wanted to go in the town centre the hotel organised it perfectly for us. We asked for a seaside view room and we got it, the sea was just outside our rooms. I recommend this hotel without any reserve for anyone that wants to go there and have the time of their lives.We are going back there for sure. See you in August 2011!

We returned with my family to Miramare beach hotel this year around the same time. if you want good value for your money this is the right place to be. Our first impression when we arrived was that we had chosen a great hotel with amazing views that the main reason why we came back again. The upper building was build 3 years ago and it is really impressive. With spa facilities (Jacuzzi, sauna, hamam) , beauty treatment, gym, a large pool where our kids where playing all the time. Food quality and taste was great. Every day we had the chance to taste different kind of food from different cultures. The staff was polite and helpful when you needed something. The animation team was really funny. During the day I was participating in several activities like sports (beach volley, football, basketball, water activities) During the night we where enjoying the shows in the roof garden. I cannot understand why some people say that the shows were only in German. There were several shows in English also. Finally the rooms was next to the sea and it was really impressive that you could here the waves sound. Beds are more than comfortable and made every day. For sure I will be back, also because of the price

I went to Miramare Hotel in July 2010 with my boyfriend. We just needed a sweet escape and Miramare Hotel offered what we exactly wanted. We stayed for a week and we had the time of our lives.
When we arrived we were moved to our rooms with the help of an escort. As we walked through the hotel, we saw that nature was a big part of the hotel, which made our trip even more romantic.
We asked for a double room with a sea-view and that is what we got. Our room was situated 2 seconds away from the coastline, where we enjoyed every morning our wake-up call, before attending the rich breakfast provided in the hotel’s restaurant.
Overall the food was ok, nothing suprisingly good.We had several choices on what to do in the hotel: from relaxing in the spa facilities that the hotel provided to join the sports that the animation team was organising every day. The animation team spoke mainly German to the general audience and English was provided too when needed of course. (Thank God since we do not speak German!)
Watersports were also offered in reasonable prices (did not had enough though!) . When we wanted to visit the city centre, the receptionist helped us by providing information of how to move from the hotel , to the beaches in Corfu or in Corfu town, which was really helpful since the buses were arriving just outside the hotel.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with minor drawbacks (such as wasps flying around) but what humans can do when it comes to fight the nature??
