Have just returned after 2 weeks at the Don Carlos we were a party of 7 between 69 & 15 yrs old, this is the 2nd year here & it is still GREAT, from reception when booking in, the dining room staff, the bar staff, & even the room maids , all excellent & friendly . The meals, big variety as much as you want. The entertainment was fairly basic only 3 caberet acts in 2 weeks but it was near the end of season, but Win the fiesta entertainer kept it going with activities all day & at night his Zapping show & Dirty dancing kept everyone up watching till bedtime. The hotel is spotless & kept so.
The walk to town can be a bit much for the less agile, but well worth it, the prom is kept clean although the locals dont seem to know about doggie poo bags . Whilst in town a visit to the Mirage restaurant by the marina is well worth a visit. Will our party go back ??? straight answer YES we are in the process of booking for 2009

Just come back from a lovely...

Just come back from a lovely sunny week in St Eulalia.Hotel was excellent.Room was very comfortable and quiet.Lovely position right on the beach and a pleasant traffic free stroll into town. The staff were all very kind and friendly and there was plenty going on for those who enjoy quizzes and games etc.The meals are all buffet service which can be a bit hectic but is what you can expect in Spanish hotels nowadays.

We would definately stay there again.

Just returned from an 11 night...

Just returned from an 11 night holiday to Ibiza and stayed at the Don Carlos hotel. There was plenty of food and a large choice i must admit, but as for quality and taste it was awful!!!

The rooms were very tired looking, and after asking specificallly for a pool view we never recieved it and on numerous occassions of asking the reception staff they ignored our request.

I think it is appoling that you have the pay for the use of the safe, fridge and iron. The only thing that the hotel were intrested in was how the could make extra money from you.

In addition to having to pay extra for everything, there was also the choice of keeping the room extra for an additional 54 euros (what a joke)!!!!

So instead they offered a couresty room, it is like a prsion cell, awful awful awful, its was full of grime and so mucky, it is only a room with a shower, sink and toilet! (Again an additional fee for using the hotels towels.

There was no night life what so ever which is a crying shame because there were some many people that commented on how fab the place would be with a little night life.

As for the staff being pleasent, i found them very rude and unhelpful.

We have just come back from this...

Just come back from a weeks holiday at this hotel. The food is great and i would defy anyone to say different. Location is super just 5mins away from bars and restaraunts and 10 mins to main resort which is laid back, and which you get to by walking along the promenade, very relaxing. If you are looking for a time to chill, then this place is fine. Water taxis to Ibiza town reccomended. Only down side is there is not much going on in the evening, unless you like bingo and quizzes. So you would have to venture away from the hotel after dark.

This was my fourth visit to the Fiesta Don Carlos Hotel and I have to say that each time it has got better and better. As with many Spanish hotels most of the staff have been there a long time and they are brilliant with customers.

The pool area and entertainment are always enjoyable and the rooms all overlook a beautiful sea view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax, have fun, and feel welcome.

The resort itself has a lovely promenade which is full of bars and restaurants, running parallel to this is the street behind which is full of little shops. The resort is more expensive than most on the island but its well worth it when you consider the other people around you are all there to relax and take in the beautiful scenery.

Like myself most people return many times to the resort and it rarely changes, although a new bridge was installed four or five years ago to make it easier to get from the hotel to the prom. All in all one of the nicest resorts you will visit. Not a lot of entertainment outside of the hotel but plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you going.

Returned 2 weeks ago & what a great holiday the food was ample & varied the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Special mention to Dominique our waitress & Jesus behind the bar. The 2 entertainers were on the boil with quizzes etc that’s Win & Anita.

The rooms were clean & cool with the fans & air con, in all a wonderful holiday.

If you venture into the town try The Mirage by the marina good food at a reasonable price.

We will definitely return to the Don Carlos in 2008 wonderful holiday wonderful staff.

Disappointed in hotel room and food. Wine you could buy in the local supermarket for 2 or 3 Euros was 8 or 9 Euros in the dining room.

We requested a sea view but our room overlooked a derelict building.

We have just returned from our first visit to this hotel and would most certainly go back again, it is an excellent 3 star hotel. The food is very good, lots of choice, plenty of it, well cooked and fresh. The breakfast is especially worth a mention, the first time ever we have chosen to have a full english breakfast every morning of our holiday... it was yummy.

We paid for a suite, which had a lounge, bedroom, bathroom and 2 balconies. Although I would say that the rooms are fairly basic (although to be honest we have in the past always stayed at 4 or 5* hotels), they are very bright, exceptionally clean and have everything that you could need, including TV, fridge, safe, etc. The beds are very comfortable with lovely clean sheets, which were changed midweek, a surprise considering we were only there for one week! Being obsessed with such things, I always check behind beds and look at the state of mattresses and they were spotless.

They try very hard with their day and evening entertainment. Cant say it excited us much, but then to be fair that's not what we go on holiday for anyway.

This is a fairly quiet resort, but within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops. For us it was a very enjoyable holiday and we would certainly recommend the Don Carlos Hotel.

Just returned after 2 weeks at Don Carlos, brilliant all staff very efficient and friendly from booking in made easy to departure. The rooms with air-con and ceiling fans very comfortable and clean.

The meals good selection every day always hot, head waiter Vincent and all his staff excellent, we ate outside which is very nice. Bar staff also very good and prompt in service. Nita and Win the Fiesta entertainers keep you on your toes with quizzes and shows. When sat around the pool or terraces plenty of free sunbeds and no need to move just stick your hand in the air and waiter will appear to get you want you need.

The all inclusive is a godsend and well worth the money (about £62 a week ). This was our 4th Fiesta and the best, a real fantastic holiday made better by the great staff. If you go to the town a good place to eat or just snack and watch the world go by is the Mirage by the Marina. Great 2 weeks and will be back in 2008.

I'm sure it's very good if you're an adult and everything, but if you're a teenager it may possibly be in the worse location you'll ever imagine.

The swimming pool is very nice but go down the steps into the beach and it's got to be the worse beach I've ever encountered. The beach smelt kind of weird and the water was full of rocks and seaweed and other such things. Not very nice at all and it was small as well.

If you're looking for a quiet stay, this will probably be for you, although the night entertainment carries on throughout the night until 12am and it's usually really quite bad.

The food provided was delicious though, with a large variety provided each day!

If you have small children under the age of 10, there will always be things to keep them entertained, although this can get quite annoying for the teenagers and adults with the same children's songs playing each day.

If you have teenage children, they won't appreciate you taking them here. I recommend Playa d'en Bossa or Es Cana.

We booked this holiday 3 days prior to departure and I have to say that it was worth every penny. On arrival, the hotel foyer was cool and the reception staff extremely helpful. Our room was a lovely size with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for clothes.

Having unpacked we went to the poolside for drinks before entering the dining room for one of the largest buffet/carveries I've ever seen! There was an enormous salad buffet which was the same each night although the cold meats section changed. Then there was the hot buffet/carvery section which was manned by about 6 chefs serving up a variety of cooked meats and fish, and even cooking something fresh right in front of you.

Then came the dessert buffet.......OH MY GOD I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Needless to say, I DID put on weight despite the fact that there were a variety of healthy options available(which I chose to ignore at my own detriment!!!!)

Breakfast was the same, with a full English or continental or believe it or not cereals such as Coco Pops (where the hell did they get them from?)

The Entertainers were fantastic with activities for all ages. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Although my partner and I were expecting an adult’s only hotel, there were loads of children there but they were great......they weren't screamers!!!

Everything was so clean and I wish we'd gone for 2 weeks, although I don't think my waistline could take it!!

Don't book the reps trips. They ARE expensive. Do it yourself....it's half the price and you're not limited to time keeping etc.

Anyway, I'm rabbitting on. Try it for yourself. Thomson have excelled themselves on this one.

What a niece hotel. Excellent food quality and choice. Great views. Enjoyed the alfresco eating experience. Quiet setting. Appealed to us as it is now an adult’s only hotel.

Worth paying extra for upgrade for a sea view or to a suite. Lovely walk into town of some 15 to 20 minutes.

We are Thomson followers and normally choose Gold - this next best thing but a lot cheaper. Evening entertainment not too well but that didn’t bother us.

Having stayed in this resort a few times you appreciate the peacefulness, and the gorgeous surroundings, the hotel is very well maintained.

The staff are very helpful, the accommodation is very well presented, and spacious, and very clean.

There are many shops to wander round, including the hippie market.

Plenty of bars and restaurants that give you plenty of choice of food and wine.

The hotel has a large dinning room with buffet style dinning, a large pool and sun terrace.

The are many places to walk to and enjoy the scenery, and it is worth a visit up to the little church on the hill.

This was our second visit to this brilliant hotel. It is situated just on the edge of Santa Eulalia, in a quiet residential area. but only a short walk into the town centre, which has a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants. It also has a lovely harbour, which plays host to some very enviable yachts. The Don Carlos itself is very clean, the rooms are modern and nicely decorated. the reception area has all you would need, post box, Internet, etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful, speaking many languages. The pool is kept clean and there is a lifeguard on duty until about 6.00pm. I have seen him in action and he is fast, believe me. There is a bar outside during the day, no endless waiting while we were there. Food is varied and many choices to be had both at breakfast and in the evening, at lunch there is a snack bar, you can either eat in or take to your sun bed, pretty good prices too. We did not struggle this year for sun beds but you needed to be quick for umbrellas, they did keep sun beds locked up until about 8.30am, which is a good idea. The entertainment staff made our holiday, the two lads, Wim and Tom smiled all day long and boy do they work some long hours, nothing was too much trouble for them, the kids thought they were brilliant. they never put pressure on you to join in anything but were always pleased when you did. We had some of the best laughs ever, and did stuff we never normally do just because they made you feel you could.

There is a smallish beach at rear of hotel, had a great time feeding the fish bread, they came right up to us and took it from our hands, the kids were fascinated as we were.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, we have no complaints at all and shall return for many years to come.
