Just got back. Had a good holiday. For a 3 star, the food was good and hotel clean (apart from ants within the room). I have a 6 year old daughter who loved the kidsclub, reps and entertainment. Biggest problem with the hotel was the size of the pool and number of sunbeds (probably just at school holiday times). The hotel is a family hotel with a lot of children, so most of the adults spend the day round the pool rather than the beach. There was probably on average about 1 sunbed per room. The hotel pool staff only allowed you to put your towel down around the pool area at 9am and then you had to run to a pile of sunbeds that were padlocked up at the end of each day. Most people were regulars to the hotel on a yearly basis, so they thought they owned the sunbed rights and also how many they could claim when it was their turn. Therefore, you had to be as pushy as possible to claim your sunbeds, if you didn't want to be sat all day on plastic chairs from around the bar area.
Puerto Pollensa is a very nice resort, clean, laid back, good beaches and clear sea. Only problem with the resort were the supermarkets around the beach and tourist areas were an absolute rip off. I advise anyone (especially with babies who need nappies, baby wipes and baby food/milk) to find the supermarkets that the locals use (which are usually back towards the main road that runs into Puerto Pollensa) as these are 50-75% cheaper than the tourist supermarkets.

I got back from my holiday today, and i said straight away that i wanted to go back, because it was so nice. The rooms were simple, but because there was so much to do, you dont really do much in them apart from sleep.
The food was lovely, with plenty of choice for everyone, and i particularly liked the separate childrens bit. Its a shame you dont get one free drink each with your dinner and any others you have to pay for but oh well!
The entertainment was excellent with something for everyone. Such as a tee-shirt activity and a cocktail game for the lively people, and a quiz for the people who just like to sit there and relax. Kidzone reps were brilliant and always looked after the kids in a good way.
Overall, a very enjoyable holiday and i definately want to go back!!!
PS: The barmen are nice aswell!!!!!!!

Great Holiday!
Peurto Azul provided simple but spotless apartments. Fridges and safes did not come as standard and had to be rented. Hotel entertainment was fantastic with professional performers in the evening and entertainment throughout the day such as Water Polo. Great fun :)
A large range of choice for evening meals. Very kind and welcoming staff to assist you. I would recommend this holiday to families with young children as it has a great family club and mascot Thomson the dog.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and would like to say a big thanks to the Entertainers Carl and Sarah =]

We had a fantastic week at the Puerto Azul. We were travelling abroad for the first time with our children aged 4 and 2 and could not have had a better experience.
I think the lady who said she wouldn't feed the food to her dog must have been reviewing the wrong hotel!
The hotel was absolutely spotless, the standard of cleanliness was seond to none! Food was great, lots of choice every night - the childrens buffet was a big hit although our 4 year old ate from the adults menu from time to time. The hotel's location is great, only a 5 min stroll to the beach which was also fantastic, escpecially with young children.
The hotel staff were really friendly at all times. Waitresses in the restaurant loved the children and even remembered their names. The entertainment in the hotel was first class, the team were amazing. The children are Thomson the Dog mad and still singing the song!
My only critisism is that the children had such a fantastic time, they want to see Thomson again next year......... I feel we may be tied to Thomson Family Club holidays forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got back from 2 weeks at the puerto azul, dont know why thomson call it the valentin puerto azul because noone knew it as that, anyway it was brilliant, rooms were basic but spotless, we rented a fridge 35 euro for 2 weeks and you can also rent a kettle but we brought one, we also brought a portable tv/dvd player as they dont have them, the food was lovely a great variety of everything we only ate out twice. There is entertainment on everynight the pool is big and clean and there was more than enough sunbeds even though the place was packed. The staff were so friendly the reps were brilliant theres a playground, soft play room for the little ones and all kinds of activities for the kids. There was an incredible number of return guests so that really says it all, If I can get a good enough deal we'll go back for a week in september. Puerto Pollensa is a taste of heaven.

Worst holiday ever been on..We went with a baby and a toddler..I wanted to feed my baby a jar of food and asked at reception if I could have a spoon. I was told if I wanted a spoon I would have to go to the supermarket and buy one!! Ended up using a medicine spoon I had with me. This is supposed to be a family hotel catering a little ones!! the food is absolutely terrible wouldn't give it to my dog and the entertainment is rubbish...If your thinking of booking here DON'T..

Due to flight delays we arrived too late for our evening meal however when we got to our room we found a meal with water and a bottle of wine waiting for us! ,we have,nt experienced this before even in 4 star hotels.
The rooms were excellent and kept clean by the staff .The restuarant was run very well and the food was excellent , the lady who would,nt give the food to her dog must have stayed in a different hotel to us !.
All parts of the hotel and grounds were kept beautifully clean , and the childrens huge sandpit was raked daily.
The entertainment staff worked hard especially Carl [ back of the net] and Sarah .
We were a party of grandparents daughter ., son-in law and two grandsons aged 8 &5 and we all had a great time around the pool although a few more sunbeds would have been ideal. Snacks at lunchtime were a bit expensive as were prices in the town , £9 for a packet of strepsils and sixteen asprins !! I suppose it,s due to the falling £.
Being ex-caterers we were very impressed with all standerds of
hygiene and attention to detail with the food preparation
We left for our flight home before breakfast and a packed meal , sanbwiches, drinks ,yughourt etc was providedfor us
Well done puerto azul you deserve another star!!

Staff couldn't have been more helpful. the rooms are very basic, but who wants to spend much time in the rooms. my son became ill and needed to see a dr. the receptionist was great we had a dr at our room within 20 mins.(tonsillitis).
This was our first time abroad with our children and thanks to this hotel we will be coming back.

The hotel itself is in quite a central location and a few minutes walk from the main square where there are plenty restaurants. There’s a few little beach areas within minutes walk but the main beach is better and about 15 minutes walk away.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and rooms cleaned on a daily basis. The rooms are large and spacious and kept immaculately clean. The pool was fantastic with areas to suit every age group, however there was a huge need for more sunbeds. The sunbeds were kept chained up until 9am and to get one you had to sit out from about 7am. It was a constant joke amongst the men as to who was tough enough to risk getting a sunbed in the morning and the staff made announcements daily asking people to only take a sunbed if they were going to use it. Once we actually managed to get 2 beds but when we returned from breakfast our towels and stuff had been removed from them and put on chairs, which shows how badly in need of more beds the hotel was. This didn’t spoil the holiday though.
The food in hotel was ok. There wasn’t as much choice as I’ve seen in other hotels and it wasn’t quite as good but again you could not go hungry and some nights we did have a really nice meal. The entertainment for kids was outstanding and at night for adults was good, some shows better than others. The staff in the hotel were excellent, friendly and keen to help. A lot of people staying in this hotel were returning for their 9th year which shows its standards never fail.
We would definitely return to this hotel (in fact thinking of booking for next year). Puerto Pollensa is quite quiet, if the entertainment in the hotel isn’t good there’s not much else to do outside (not that we could find anyway). Overall, we had a great holiday and the hotel had a great atmosphere to it and plenty for kids. It’s our second year on a Thomson’s super family holiday and I don’t think I would travel with anyone else now as the service is excellent.

Yes, you read it right; we give this holiday 10/10!
The hotel and pool were very good, pool may be a little small for some in high season, but my 6 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
She even preferred to go to the entertainment run by the entertainment gang at the hotel instead of going in the pool or down in the sea.
The reps (Nick and Caroline) were very professional and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. The entertainment team were also very good with children.
The entertainment was excellent every night and with the ideal location, we couldn’t fault anything. £ Days after our return we decided to book again for next year for another 11 day stay.
If any of you guys read this, thank you, and Rachael really hopes to see you again.

Our stay at the Puerto Azul was a fantastic two weeks. Hotel food and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, we couldn’t fault the hotel in anyway. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Entertainment was again excellent, all the Thomson reps worked very, very hard and they kept all the kids entertained and you could see they all enjoyed their jobs. Amazing Adam and Kit Kat was my son's favourites but like I said they all were superb and worked such long days but the next day they were by the pool/club happy and being very sociable.
This is our second holiday with Thomson Superfamily and we certainly will be having plenty more with Thomson Superfamily. My Son who is 3 loved Thomson Dog and we even bought him the CD, which he listens too everyday.
Puerto Pollensa is a very nice place too stay, lots to do for everyone. We definitely recommend this hotel and holidays with Thomson Superfamily

This was our first package holiday (7 days) so I didn't really know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised! The Thomson team made everything easy from being welcomed at the airport and then again at the hotel to always being available for information if required. My children are 12 and 15 so we didn't really need the entertainment but other younger children seemed very happy and the rep's (particularly Adam) worked very hard.
The hotel was very clean. We had a nice room and balcony and it was a fairly quiet area. We really enjoyed the food and I thought there was plenty of choice. The staff were extremely friendly (especially in the dining room) and always available for information and help if needed. The dining room did get busy at certain times so we tended to eat later and enjoyed eating outside in the garden area.
The swimming pool was very nice - we didn't always get a sun lounger due to the Brits 'bagging' them with their towels first thing in the morning but there were ample chairs and we enjoyed our time by the pool. The bar near the pool served snacks and we never had a problem getting a table.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definitely return.

We found this to be a very basic hotel in every respect. The room whilst clean and comfortable was very simply furnished.
The food whilst plentiful, was not particularly good and indeed we ate out for most of the second week.
The pool was good although again a little dated and the scrum to reserve beds at 8.30 we found quite unacceptable.
The hotel's suggestion that a late check out room meant we had to vacate our room at 11am and decamp to a different room for the rest of the day, summed up our view of the hotel, although the Thomson Rep, to her credit told management that this was not acceptable.
The childcare was first class and if this is your priority, you may overlook the other failings.
Having travelled with Thomson almost exclusively for the past 10 years, usually staying in 4T+ hotel and spending 2-3K, we found this 3T+ Hotel very poor value for money. Forced entertainment around a pool not my cup of tea!

The hotel is quite nice but the facilities are not large enough for the amount of people staying there.
The food is very average with not much of a selection. Also meal times are a nightmare as there aren't enough tables and you don't get the same table for the duration of the holiday.
Then after dinner, when you try to sit in the 'disco' area for the children's entertainment, yet again there are no seats so you have to go elsewhere. Not very impressive. The resort is lovely but the hotel not so good.
