Just come back from a week at this hotel and it was 1st class. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are great and the location perfect. Different meals every evening. Would recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, and are definately considering a return trip.
Location is great. A very relaxed resort, with stunning mountain and coast views.
The hotel was welcoming, exceptionally clean and the staff were brilliant.
Food was very good , with lots of choice and superb quality.
If you consider booking a trip, make sure you check out 'no frills' excursions. They have an office on the sea front and details are in reception. They offer more on their trips and cost less! The Island tour we took with them was amazing. It included a boat trip that was not included on a similar trip with our travel operator.and was 3 euros per person cheaper.
If you are looking for a relaxed holiday, then this is well worth considering. It appeals to all age groups. There were older guests, families and couples staying at the same time as us. If you are into lots of evening entertainment, then you'd be better considering a different hotel.
We have stayed in several hotels in the Balearics, and this was by far the best.

We have just had fantastic holiday at the Puerto Azul Hotel,it was everything we could have wished for. Spotlessly clean, very well maintained, with hard working, very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant & selection of food was superb. The evening entertainment was brilliant and the First Choice representatives worked extremely hard to help to make our holiday fun & enjoyable. Thomson Holidays & Puerto Azul well deserve its GoldStar rating.

My 6 year old daughter and I visited on our own, when my husband was unable to join us. We found the Puerto Azul to be clean and tidy everywhere, but it was the staff here who made the difference between this being an OK holiday, and a really good one. The reception staff were super attentive and friendly and stopped what they were doing immediately to help. The restaurant was well run and provided an enjoyable choice of meals. Our room was well cleaned and towels replaced each day and staff always greet you with a friendly hello. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. The kitchen consists of cupboards a 2 ring hob, sink and fridge and no crockery, cutlery, pots or pans at all. If use the fridge, or hire a kettle, you will need to hire from reception. Same with safety deposit box. Hotel pool is lovely and there is also a small play area for little ones, both of which were enjoyed by my daughter. Well located and within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and beach. I booked this apartment via First Choice after reading the reviews here, so hope my observations help you too. First Choice reps were excellent as was the day/eve entertainment and kids clubs.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic resort. Ideal for families and couples. There are not discos or happy hours. Resort goes quiet after 11pm which is perfect. Hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good and there is a wide choice. It is not 5*, but you do not starve. Tables could be cleared quicker and when you go after the rush, you struggle to find a clear table. Entertainment is good and keeps the children happy. There is a lot of traffic in the hotel and there are flights to Majorca every day except Wednesdays. Ok during the day, but does get on your nerves during the night. It's a shame that rooms are fitted with kitchen facilities, but you have to pay extra to use the fridge or cooker. Would be great if you had self catering facilities aswell.
Venture out to find the supermarkets, its worth it for the savings. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly go back another day.

Great Hotel, Superb Location and the most amazing time.
This was our first family holiday abroad so we were a little anxious at first, but were recommended the Puerto Azul by the travel agent.
The hotel accomodation is basic, but comfortable. Shops and local amenities are a 5 minute walk from the hotel, the Reps tell you the cheapest ones at your arrival meeting. Information at the first meeting is useful and productive. As we were only there for 7 days we didn't want to many trips, so we opted for the Pirates show in Magaluf. Recommended to us by the reps 'as the 2nd best show in the world'. It is amazing, our two boys (aged 6 & 4) were completely engaged from start to finish. I think my eldest ones mouth was wide open the whole time. A bit pricey, but not when compared with shows in the west end, and it is worth every penny.
Staff at the hotel are very polite and friendly, and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was clean and tidy.
The best part of the holiday though was the Kids Club Reps and entertainment. Bumble Bee Becky, Lightening Liam, Crazy Kelly, Agadoo Ang, Becky Boo, Em & Em, Kung-fu Katy, Electric Emma etc were amazing - our boys couldn't wait to get back to the kids clubs , and were perfect for parents who wanted a bit of piece and quiet. The entertainment in the evening was vey good, and was fun for all the family - we saw mamma mia, Lennon & McCartney and the Rep's show.
The reps got everybody involved and I can now do 'chocolatte' perfectly. Even when there was a powercut in the resort they still kept going. In the dark Bingo should become a national past-time.
Again, for our first holiday abroad we couldn't

We returned from Puerto Azul this weekend having spent 11 days enjoying days round the pool, time at the local beach and a few days out on the Island.
The Hotel itself is clean, the staff are friendly and courteous and the restaurant is huge, with a variety so wide that even the fussiest of diners (like me) get to stuff thier faces every night. (and ditto for breakfast!)
The pool/s were diverse enough for everyone to enjoy, but with the focus on families, it was mostly occupied by the young ones, except for the daily over 18's water polo (very testosterone fuelled!)
But for me and my family (Myself, Missus and 2 kids: 7 and 4) the holiday was made perfect by the First Choice Reps. They go the extra mile to entertain, cater and care for you during your time there.
From the Kids club team, Krazy Kelly and Lightning Liam et al, to the trooper Entertainer Becky Boo, they kept us and particularly my kids busy for the entire stay, day and night. They made it personal, they always listened to what you wanted and the kids loved them - my boy was very sad to say goodbye to Kelly, I think he's had his first crush!
The evening entertainment was also very good, excellent on some nights, with the exception of the Rod Stewart tribute act.. Sorry Rod!
The only negatives were that the fridges still aren't included in the cost, and there is no TV in the room - not that either of those issues affected our stay.
I won't be going back as I like to visit different destinations, but I would recommend Puerto Azul to anyone with a young family considering Puerto Pollensa as a summer holiday.

Just returned from this perfect holiday. Loved it that much that I have already booked to return next July. Great reps - brilliant entertainment with "Neil Diamond, Chris and Grant Mitchell." All the staff are lovely, behind the bar, in the restaurant etc. Rooms lovely and spacious, cost 17 euros for 1 week fridge and 13 euros for the safe.
The only negative is that the best beach is a 20 minute walk away.
- Advice: Perfect for children of all ages.

i stayed at the puerto azul in july 2010.
with my partner and two children age 6 and 7 years, i found the staff were very helpful and very happy people. the cleaners were fab clean towels every day all rooms cleaned swept and moped daily, they didnt stop their either the staircases, halls, windows and pool area were cleaned thoroughly daily.
The entertainment was brill perfect for FAMILYS and CHILDREN of all ages, Ignore bad reviews about noise, being a family hotel i would expect to hear noise of children joyfully playing in the pool and as for no peace i put my children to bed for an afternoon siesta every day and found no noise no music or disturbance of any kind.
the reps there are amazing they really know how to mk children have the time of there life.the kids club is brill they are well supervised and catered. the food was great there was a huge variety each day different, the childrens food was good my children opted for the adults as they too liked the huge choices available, the chef slices your meat fresh from the joint for you to see the food is also cooked were you can see which i like.
its very close to the beech and shops, resturants i would really recomend this hotel if you want your kids to have the time of their lifes. the evening entertainment was also great the kids loved the disco and i found if your a fun person who dosnt mind goining in every now and again yo will have so much fun and laughter i have booked to go bk in october as i feel i didnt get to see all majorca had to offer. on the beech there are sandcastles which the locals build they are not to be missed they are amazing there talent was jaw droping at night they lit candles around there castles which made them even more special, majorca was a great family holiday which i would hapily recommend to anyone give it a go.....

Brilliant hotel. Suites are spacious and the best rooms we have had on holiday. All the staff from reception, dining room and cleaners are all very friendly and helpful. Food is great and a good selection to suit all tastes. Nicely situated and close to all amenities in the resort. Bus Service to Alcudia, Cán Picafort and further to Palma and Soller etc. The only negative point I would make is the amount of dog faeces on the pavements, roads and the grassed areas. One suggestion I would make is that you have somewhere to extinguish cigarettes outside the hotel front. Can´t wait to come back to this hotel.

Brilliant family hotel.
All areas of hotel immaculate. They even wash the pool area each morning!
Room adequate for family of four. One bedroom and bed settee in lounge area. TV in lounge with some English channels. Small kitchen area with sink but you had to pay 2 euros per night for fridge.
Food great quality and plentiful. Breakfast was excellent with full English breakfast cooked in front of you, cereal, toast, cakes, pastries, donuts, lots of fresh fruit, and hot drinks and fruit juice. There was so much choice and some freshly cooked dishes each evening. My children particularly liked the kids buffet.
Pools clean and well maintained. Kids pool good size but most of the large pool too deep for small children as it ranged from 1.5 - 2 m deep. Kids pool separated from deep water by floating rope which worried me at times with my six year old.
Entertainment not great but it was not peak season when we stayed so maybe it would be better in the main school holidays. All hotel based and not run by First Choice, including kids club. They did have a kids disco every night which the children seemed to enjoy.
Good location, few minutes walk to the beach. Beach cleaned regularly. Great sand sculptures - particularly when lit up in the evenings.
Already booked to go back next year!
