Had a brilliant time I have two children and they say its the best holiday we have ever had, The kid zone reps all deserve medals as they were entertaining the children all the time and as for princess Ryan amazing Adam and Ruthy Jugs and Barbie Ben they deserve a special award from Thompson holidays for being the best entertainment crew we have ever seen.
The hotel was clean and tidy the food was great and with a child that is a fussy eater he never went hungry. All the staff could not do enough for you, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and are thinking of returning next year.
The hotel is a short walk to the town and the beach, as well as the pine walk.

Very impressive reception area. Were greeted by John from the super family team on arrival who was by far the most professional along with Simone.
Surprised to be taken towards a lift to go up to the top floor when the hotel actually advertises NO LIFTS.
Cleaners were everywhere all the time, I've no idea how many are employed, but you couldn’t complain about the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, there was always someone cleaning somewhere.
The room was basic but liveable, thought that having to hire a fridge wasn’t too impressive and didn’t know why there was a cooker in the room without a single item of cutlery or utensil to cook with. Air conditioning was great though.
Dining room and eating area were great and again the friendliness and helpfulness of staff couldn’t be faulted. Food was of a high standard and something for everyone including the children’s buffet which was great for kids of all ages.
The outside cafe/bar area was good too and food was reasonably priced especially the pizzas which were good value for money. The only fault here was that the area wasn’t big enough and often people were queuing around your table ready to jump in your seat, the outside area could easily have been made bigger as there were tables and chairs already there.
The only downfall of the Hotel was the sun loungers. What a nightmare, the sun loungers remain locked up until 9.AM and people reserving their area from as early as 2am by placing towels on chairs near where they want sun beds. There are not nearly enough sun beds for the amount of people staying at the Hotel, and heaven forbid if you were to place your sun bed by someone’s chosen area! Why don’t they take up the floor above the sun bed area and relay it with something not slippery and extend that to a sun bed area. The floors are very slippery, I witnessed at least 7 people falling and 4 of them being taken off to Hospital.
The entertainment staff were good and looked as if they were enjoying themselves Nicci walked around with a big smile on her face all day and greeted everyone she must have had jaw ache by the end of the day! Ruthie Juggs made the entertainment team with constant wise cracks and good humour.
The entertainment shows where people came in from outside the hotel lacked something especially the Abba show, which was embarrassingly bad. The kids shows were good though and most kids got up to dance or tell a joke.
I would recommend the Hotel for families of younger children, there wasn’t really anything for over 12 year olds. We went for 2 weeks which was quite long enough, we were all bored by the end, location wise the Hotel is excellent and if you carry on walking along the sea front you come to a much bigger beach and lots of nice restaurants around too. The market is very close by too which is well worth a visit.
I wouldn’t go back to the Hotel again mainly because of the pool area not being big enough and would certainly consider the pool area of my next hotel before booking up. I would give the hotel 7/10.

Hotel was very clean, the reps are so friendly. They work so hard but still have time to stop and chat to you!
Food was warm, but again it was mainly the same food most nights, which got a bit boring..
We had good weather in the week we went so air conditioning was needed but you have to shut all the doors in the room for it to work and the key thing is a bit confusing but other than that...
The hotel was brilliant and the staff are more than brilliant I fell in love with them amazing Adam, princess Ryan and ruthii jugs are so funny together they should own their own television show!!

This is my 5th visit to the hotel and I found it amazing. Each year I have enjoyed the time that I have spent there great but the entertainers have never been anything special.
However this year the entertainers Amazing Adam, Princess Ryan and Ruthi Jugs were all fab! They kept all our friends and family entertained and we were sad to leave hotel staff still friendly and very helpful, will be visiting again!

Put very simply, if your have a young family you must try this hotel for size.
The location is fantastic, the hotel only being a few hundred metres from the beach and the resorts centre and the wonderful "pines" walk. The food was great, with a separate adult and kids offering. I was concerned, from experiences when I went on holiday with my parents, that it would be chips, chips and more chips for my 22-month-old son. Not at all! Salmon, boiled veg, fish fingers, and a whole host of different offerings every evening (don’t worry kids, there are chips and chicken nuggets if that’s what you really want).
The adult buffet is just as good if not better. In the ten days I was there I didn’t have the same meal twice - again in stark contrast to when I was a kid. The rooms are superb, with a bedroom for the oldies separate from a living room that doubles as a sleeping area for the kids.
The pool area is large, and there is a sandy play area with climbing frames for the kids.
Finally, the entertainment is great. Maybe we were just lucky this year, but the team put on some great shows every evening. The kids clubs were full to bursting and the kids club staff couldn't walk anywhere without being mobbed by the kids!

Just got back from second visit to the Azul, wasn’t disappointed.
Hotel just as good as before and staff and reps very helpful and friendly. Kids Reps need a pay rise!!!!! They work their socks off and always have a smile and time for a chat with each child or adult, Princess Ryan, Amazing Adam, Barbie Ben and Rosie Jugs you have been seen, posted and praised!
Only criticism, the food choice was a bit limited and hot food would have been more welcome than warm, other than that, they get my vote yet again & are already looking at next year. Thanks for a great holiday.

I stayed at the Puerto Azul for one week with my eleven year old son and nephew, friends of mine were already there with their 4 and 6 year olds.
The hotel was fantastic, all staff very friendly, very clean, food was great and there was always a good variety. The day/evening entertainment was great, especially for the children.
We had a great week of weather so the air conditioning came in handy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone with children as after all this it is quoted as a "super family" hotel.

Food not very good, and was not kept hot. We were told that "The Spanish do not like hot food, and microwave ovens are provided so that guests can make their food really hot if they wish".
The weather was a little chilly, and the heating was inadequate.
The guest suites poorly heated. The heating switched off when you vacated the room and removed the door key card from the holder within the room.
The dining room and lounges were too cold.
Extra charge for fridge.
No television in room.

We have just returned from a fabulous two week holiday at the Puerto Azul in Puerto Pollensa.
The resort was as good if not better than any we’ve been to anywhere in the Med. Lovely clean sandy beaches, with spacious promenades behind and the beautiful Pine Walk against the fantastic backdrop of the Traumontana Mountains.
The hotel was great. The reception staff were helpful, the maids did a wonderful job cleaning the rooms on a daily basis and the waitresses in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly. The rooms were extremely spacious. The lounge and kitchenette area was a godsend. We could not understand why food quality was marked down in the brochure in the mid-seventy percent range. The choice and quality was as good, if not a little better than any other 3/4 star we’ve ever stayed at.
Finally the reps. Speaking as someone who in the past has got rather tiresome of holiday reps I have to say all the reps at the Puerto Azul were excellent. Princess Ryan, Amazing Adam and Ruthie Jugs were great entertainers. The Kid Zone reps led by Barbie Ben with Jolly Jess, Naughty Nicki, and Super Sam were brilliant with the kids. They all made a great team and fully deserve the many accolades I’ve seen on the website reviews.
Our two year old loved it, especially the mini disco’s every night and having bought the CD she can enjoy Witch Doctor, the Finger Song and Thomson the Dog for many months to come. We will definitely look at Thomson Super Family hotels when we choose next year’s holiday. If you have children you can't beat them.
