Our week at Kontokali Bay was excellent! The food, the rooms with the pool that we stayed at were great! All staff were very polite and tried at all times to meet your expectations and demands.
They have also a Spa which was a great surprise and the treatments they offered were of a perfect standard. I was impressed of the Standard as it reminded of Asia and few of the very good ones we have visited in the Maldives.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic views. Well maintained hotel. Clean everywhere good facilities.
Rooms good size and air conditioned. Don’t personally think it’s worth paying for the sea view as our companions did, we had a bay view, and the view was just as nice.
The hotels evening meals men have to wear long trousers for. Breakfasts were good, plenty available buffet style, air conditioned.
Lunches were served in the beach bar, they did a bbq and lots of other things. All very good and tasty.
Sunbeds by the pool went early but plenty available on the beach, and towels provided free each day for you to use by the pool or on the beach.
The only bad point of the hotel is that’s its quite a distance from any restaurants or shops. The nearest restaurants are a 15 mins walk, we got a taxi into Gouvia or Corfu Town most nights where there is plenty of choice. Gouvia was probably our favourite place to go.

The only minus point was it's very isolated. You can walk on to Kontokali which is along a dirty road and a but run down. There are only a few tavernas there of not very good quality. Or, you can walk a bit further to Gouvia marina, which is quite pretty with a couple of excellent restaurants and two bars, but fairly quiet really and limited really. We opted to get the bus from the end of the road to Corfu town at night 2 euros for two of us and got a taxi back to the hote 15 euros. Much more going on in corfu town.
Overall, the hotel is of excellent quality, just a little bit too far out to have a nice stroll anywhere.
