Myself, husband and 1 year old stayed at the Floriana complex in July 2008. The complex itself is very nice, clean and the staff very friendly, however the complex is 95% German All inclusive. We were expecting a snack bar that served kiddies meals as this is what the... more

The Floriana resort is well maintained and enjoys a nice location away from the main area of Cala Bona. The rooms are kept clean and linen is changed regularly. We stayed in L block and the balconies could do with a bit of a refresh - the paint is chipping away etc. We... more

Very impressed when we arrived at the efficient reception desk (all staff spoke several languages) and then whisked away to our accommodation in a golf buggy. We were in Block I. Apartment was generously-sized, spotless and well maintained (as was all the hotel complex)... more

We went to this hotel the first week of the season. It was fabulous! Portland only sell this accommodation on a self catering basis, although Thomson (the parent company) sell it to the Germans only on an all inclusive package. We were self catering but upgraded to all... more

I would go back to this hotel again because it was clean, friendly neighbourhood where you can go for a great holiday. I have no complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel as it was always clean and you get maid service 5 times a week. The staff at this hotel are great... more

excellent
The hotel was fantastic. I arrived back in the uk on saturday 28th August i really enjoyed it. The atmosphere around the pool was great and there is plenty to do for the kids. There is only a short walk into Cala Bona and Cala Millor. The Hotel is perfect for a relaxing break aswel as a fun time for the kids. The swimming pools are masive. the food at the floriana is fab, there is a wide selection from the buffe. I went half bard and it was well worth it. i am definatly going back there for the 3rd time next year!! go there, its great.
Florianna Resort
Just returned from the Florianna resorts in Cala Bona, have been to different parts of Majorca over the years and found Cala Bona to be more relaxed and not to busy. We took children aged 13 & 10yrs who loved the beach in Cala Millor which was a 10-15min walk along the prom, the water was crystal clear and was great to ride the waves on the lilo!! Florianna resort is very family orientated, kids clubs are good for the younger ones and swimming pools are well maintained. My only concern was that for non swimmers you are pretty much restricted to one pool, gardens and surroundings are clean and nighly entertainment was very good. You get a professional show every night which included the Four tops, Abba tribute and various acrobat shows, kids really enjoyed the Lion King show. It is true what they say about putting your towel out early, have to have a towel down by 9.30ish to secure a sun bed!! Lots of German families but never had any issues about this. The food in the main resturant is excellent, even if you are self catering you can still purchase food there which is buffet style and plenty to choose from, cost 35euros to feed the 4 of us a 3 course meal and eat as much as you like. Would definatley go back, would recommend if you are looking for somewhere quiter that Magaluf!
To stay or not to stay
Family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 9 + 6) just returned from Floriana resort apartments. 3 stars is appropriate for accommodation which was very clean and easily accessible. Not too big. Complex itself was a huge hit with kids - pools great and safe - eating places fine and in house catering varied and plentiful. However, if you want a sun lounger, get your towel down smartish in the morning - it's true what they say!! 10 minute walk into Cala Bona and another 10 minutes into Cala Millor. Sister hotel Bahia Azul seems to be a bigger hit with British holiday makers - more of a friendly family atmosphere. Kids loved evening entertainment and the daytime kids club (Kidzone) was a huge hit with them, although it will not be available from the end of this season. Shame. Overall a good hoiday with good trips to be had. We will more than likely return to this complex at a future date.
Florianna Resort very Enjoyable
The hotel was great. Arrived at 2130 to find the toilet not working. A call to reception and by 2200 all OK. The facilities are great, plenty of sunbeds around the pools. Friendly reception and bar staff. The breakfast buffet was brilliant, didn't use the evening meal facility so could not comment on this. On the down side, the room servcing was sporadic. Bed linen and towels not changed as a routine, Although a call to reception again had towels dilivered to the room within 15mins. had to do this 3 times in the week. The lift also went a couple of days at least without cleaning
Fantastic Holiday
We went to the Floriana Complex last October 2004, it was a great holiday for myself, my 7yr old daughter and my parents. The complex has 4 swimming pools, one is which is very large, 4 tennis courts which to be honest i never saw anybody play as the weather was far to hot.The food in the restuarant was great lots to choose from, great for kids aswell, plenty of fresh fish, meat and fruit. The entertain ment was really good, there was show on every night, my 7 yr old loved it, also the entertainment team was also wonderful very helpful. The only downside was there was no local super market nr by, had to walk for about 15mins to you get to one. Fantastic holiday, booked up to go back in September 2005.
Great place for Family Holiday
Just got back from Floriana Resort for Easter weekend (March 2005) and we were impressed. Food was cheap and excellent (highly recommend eating there a couple of times at least), staff were very nice, people in kids club were very welcoming and enticed our normally "kids club shy" kids into there. Tennis courts looked very nice, but be warned not family freindly (when we all wanted to play as a family, we got looked up and down, and told we could not play as we had the wrong shoes on. Can't help thinking it was because we were not semi pros!). Rooms were sparse, but quite roomy and clean. A lot of Germans there, but we heard they had a tennis tournement on so to be expected. All in all, excellent value for money and great for the kids. Recommended.
great holiday
Went to the Floriana complex in October this year for the ist time. we found the whole complex wonderful, clean, and plenty going on. The food was buffet it was very enjoyable and lots of differant foods to choose from. The apartment was very large, clean, and a huge balcony, would defiantly go back.
The Best Holiday ever
The Floriana Resort was a fantastic place to stay, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The apartments were spotless and cleaned on a daily basis, even though the brochure said 4 times a week. It is ideal for children, and the night entertainment was superb, there was a kids mini disco, then other entertainment, there was a Lionel Ritchie Tribute night, and he was brill, then on other nights there was shows like ' Lion king' and 'Starlight Express.' The Germans would come out and put the towels out as early as 7am, but the staff remove all towels up to 9am. We were that impressed, we are going back next year. The whole family didn't want to go home.
Nice clean apartments but
Nice clean apartments but there was little space to prepare food. If you are like us and like to eat in a few times then be prepared, soup and pasta was all I could manage, plenty of utensils though. Also no on site supermarket and the walk to the nearest one took about 7-10mins no joke when you're laden down with drinks etc and its 35 degrees. Nice pool area, snack bar reasonable prices. Beware the parasol pinching Germans!!
Great Place
We went here in sep 2003,it was our first time abroad and with 4 children in tow we were a bit scared as we were going into the unknown, but what a great place to go the apartments were excellant very clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly and by the end of the first week we were on first name terms, there are two big pools one has a seperate area for small babies and toddlers which is very safe.Afternoon tea & coffee is served between 4 & 5 all free. Just a short walk away is the main cala bona town with plenty of shops and bars plus the beach. Its a great place for familys and couples alike and we are sure to go back
