We have never felt so alienated EVER, the spanish staff are lovely (most of them) but its easy to see why this hotel went bankrupt previously, the rooms were small and even though we had disabled people in our party of 5 they refused to give us a late checkout room, the drinks were measured in plastic cups (the child party size variety) and then the wrapped butter and margerine was discontinued and lumps of what could only be described as LARD were tried to be passed off as spread, the breakfast was cold although the other sittings seemed ok, not much variety but ok if desperate. all in all the english families we met were lovely albeit alienated by the germans and the someone english hating staff, and as long as you get a sunbed round the pool early they would be fine, very nice resort although the English are very frowned upon, whereas the German and other nationalities i found were rude, very rude.
Thanks

We went to can picaford beginning of august and booked into the hotasa santa fe. Arrived at the hotel @2am only to be told that they had no resrevations for us.They made a few fonecalls and 1hr later they sent us to the Columba mar. They said they could only put us up for one night. In morning they said we could stay there for the rest of the week. Ok we had a roof over our heads. The hotel is ok. The entertainment, very poor unless you are german. The food was not good, did not have a warm meal the whole time we ate in the hotel. We were half board and had to pay for any drinks that we got.The beach is very close and the best part of the holiday. We payed extra to stay at a hotel which was directly on the beach, but that was notwhat we got, Booked through sunmaster. this seems to be the norm.If you book through sunmaster be crefull, you will not get the hotel that you booked and payed for.I would not recoment this hotel. No English or Irish. Just germans.
- Advice: The beach, fantastic.

The price was very good, location of the hotel was perfect. Room was quite small but it does not matter since you are not gping there because of the largeness of the room, but the bed was very comfortable, also with privacy at the balcony. And the first time on my holidays I wasnt sick from air-conditioning, because it was well balanced!
The bartender was very friendly also every person at the reception. Foods and drinks were very good, me and my friends were not a minute hungry because the food was very delicious and i exalt the cheff.
The thing that annoyed me was that drinks were poured to little plastic glasses even during lunch or dinner, so maybe 20 plastic glasses was used daily for one person.
The Slovak animation team was very active so there was no boredom by the swimming pool, which was in good condition although sometimes not enough sunbeds.
And the sea was so clear and sand was not very hot, and what I appreciate most of all was the weather which was changing therefore the sea was one day calm, other with great waves and so one.
I highly recommend this location to everybody! I miss Mallorca soooo much!

After reading some of the reviews of this Hotel I travelled with some trepidation to the Clumba Mar. Was pleased to say i couldnt really see what people were complaining about. The hotel is perfectly located in the resort and is very modern having been recently refurbished and maintains a high standard of cleanliness. The staff where friendly and helpful if you took the time to chat to them. Meal times were good with a good selection..i think most of the moaners wanted english food, i had a couple complaining they had had to go out to get a sunday roast. The pool bar across the road was a bonus and we spent most afternoons there. The mix of english and Germans was about even which is what you expect in the Balerics. The only things i can fault are the entertainment was limited (but we tended to look elsewhere anyway)and it would be nice to get proper glasses in the bar and restaurant. Overall we will happily go back again
- Advice: Ignore the bad reviews and judge for yourself

just got back from clumba mar.stayed 10 nights and it wasnt until day 9 that another english family arrived .we were the only english in the hotel.it was full of germans.the hotel is quite nice and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.the food in the hotel is catered for a german diet with all german sausage and meats.we ate out every night even thou we were all inclusive.ann and neils bar 2 minutes away does lovely ernglish food at very reasonable prices.some bars have play areas for the kids so there is always something 2 do for children.overall had a good time but it would of been nice to hear a few english voices around the pool
- Advice: no english people there

My boyfriend and i really enjoyed this great little break away.
The reception staff were very helpful and nice.
We had a room on the top floor overy looking the pool, really nice view of the sea from our room. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a nice little samsung flat screen tv in our room - before our visit we ready some reviews saying the rooms did not have any tv's so these must be new. The furnishings are a bit dated, and the air conditioning is not very powerful, but the nice view more than made up for those poor points. Over all we were very happy with the room and they are cleaned everyday.
They do have a very big nice pool just over the road from the entrance doors. This was not open during our visit. The smaller pool on the grounds of the hotel was very nice. The have a ping pong table, darts and a snooker table.
We were all inclusive. The bar was nice and the bar staff are very nice and helpful. Every thing is served in plastic cups which is not so good.
The food is fine not great. It would have been better if they clearly labeled what the food was and what it contained.
The professional shows were great they had a Amy Winehouse/ Tina Turner tribute act we thought this was going to be a bit rubbish but we were very suprised she was really good. The also had a spanish dance act that were very good. The in house hotel entertainment was not very good tho but we went in early May and the hotel was very quiet.
The position on the hotel is the best part of the hotel. Its really close to the lovely beach and the shops. Ca'n Picafort is a really nice place very quiet but that is what we wanted.
We went 08.05.2010 - 15.05.2010

There were 12 of us travelling in our group including young children, teenagers and adults. The rooms were very small, but clean on arrival although I do not think our bedding was changed or our bath cleaned during our 1 week stay. The walls are very thin and you can here every word being said next door and due to the shape of the hotel your balcony is very over looked. We were lucky and had a poolview which was quiet, but if you have one overlooking the road or over the kitchens it is very noisey early in the morning. The staff on reception are polite but are either not bothered about giving you accurate information about the resort or they simply do not know. The food was awful, if you are a rabbit you will be fine as there is trays and trays of salad but other than that a very poor choice. We were all inclusive and you are given a tiny platic cup to use and one mouthful and it is gone. The snackbar over the road was nice the first 2 days until you realised that you would be getting the exact same thing everyday!! There are 2 pool areas both were pleasant with enough sunbeds and seating areas. The beach is about 2 minutes away and lovely soft sand, the waves get quite rough but there are lifeguards. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and giftshops but they are all very similar selling the same thing so not much choice. The steakhouse on the corner where they do the entertainment is a real rip off £4 a pint or a soft drink and £6 for an alcopop. Trotters is a lovely bar on the seafront and serves a variety of very good food. The worst part of the holiday was the buses avoid at all costs, the drivers are incredibly rude and aggressive and pack the bus with so many people that you are hanging out of the doors as they are driving. We went in to Alcudia for the day and it was very expensive and we found some of the Spanish people to be very unhelpful and in one restaurant we were actually made to feel very unwelcome. In all 1 week in Majorca was enough as there is not really that much to do and we would not return again.
- Advice: Nice resort for a quiet holiday, but not much variety

we only got back yesterday from our holiday and it was brill.
i went with a friend and her husband'myself and two children one aged 7 the other aged2.
my 7 year old loved it and got on very welll with the staff.
i could not fault the holiday, it was lovely and only a 2 min walk down to the beach where there is lots of shops and bars.
there was a childrens club which was open from 10 till 12.30 and again 3 till 5.30 and the 2 people running were brill as well my daughter had so much fun but the down fall was there was not alot for the little on to do.
there is two pools and if your all inclusive plenty of food and drink.
the food was nice too and the staff are friendly.
my only downfall of the place was the high chairs....they need better straps some didnt even have any. otherwise a very good holiday for two weeks!!!!
if you go watch out for yan a very sweet lad that does the kids disco.... he made us laugh.x

We went here in a group of 6. With 4 adults and 2 children. The children ages were 11 and 12. We went all inclusive for a week and this is a must because with the low pound at the moment everything is so expensive. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very good and the food was excellent. The entertainment was not very good but just a short stroll to the beach there was a long road that had a wide range of entertainment!
There were 2 pools one in the main hotel and another pool just over the road that was part of of the hotel and we always went 2 the 1 other the road and there you could also get drinks, snacks and pots of ice cream!
Can Picafort is lovely, clean resort and caters for all.
We really enjoyed the holiday and it is a must go but go all inclusive!
- Advice: It is a lovely clean place and it caters for all
- Activities: The beach and pirate show and marineland!

Myself and my family love this hotel so much we go back every year, the hotel manager pedro is so helpful as so are all the staff, the hotel is situated 2mins from the beach and all the shops,it is a very clean hotel with maid service daily, the entertainment is excellent for all age groups my daughter loves this hotel so much she wants to buy it one day, there are 2 pools that are cleaned every morning, and one of them is situated just across the road at carracas bar that is also part of your all inclusive package, you must try the cheesy chips they are second to none, you will love them, they serve snacks and drinks until 11.30 pm, We are going back to the clumba mar on 14th september 2009, i can't wait only 3 weeks time, we all know we will have a great holiday, it also has a local bus service so you can visit different places like alcudia and puarta pallenca, also there are many trips you can go on, i recommend the pirate show it is brilliant. i also recommend a visit to trotters on the beach for a good night out, and a good karaoke if you like to have a sing song, also some great entertainment nights. I hope this review has made you decide to book this holiday you will love it just like us.

what can I say well this hotel is basic we would call it a low budget hotel. My mum, my 4 year old and myself wanted I nice holiday away so we choose the Clumba Mar, We arrived on the 13th Aug at around 11:30am to be told the room wasn’t ready long with about 10 other people, great so we waiting around as we were told the room would be ready in about half an hour, it wasn’t so we said how much longer she said about 10 mins that came and went we were getting fed up, so mum went over to the desk spoke to the lady in Spanish and the lady gave us a room immediately so what you have to do if you want your room is speak in Spanish to them...great that’s fair.
The rooms are small but lets face it you only sleep and wash in there! the bathrooms are very clean the only thing I would say is the rooms arent swept everyday in fact the whole week we were there they werent. You dont get clean towels everyday.
we went half board and we were disgusted how the dinner service was we were treated like nothing compared to the all inclusive as at dinner there was a drinks machine we were never told that we couldnt help are self and pay afterwards but we has the waiter who we called "Gestapo" as he came right over to say not saying a word to be polite just put a bill in the table and said you dont help yourself we get drinks for you!! which were in cheap plastic cups which I could just about live with if I was on all inclusive because you could have as much as poss, but we had to pay 1.90 for a small plastic cup!! what they need is a bar in the dinner hall so you got a fair size glass drink (went half board to a hotel in Costa del sol last sept and that is what you do there use the bar) we were disgusted with that so out of principle we didnt drink!!
As for the pools well if you want a sun bed you have to fight for it and queue at the gates from 9:00am may god I dont go on holiday to fight for a sun bed, so spent most days down the beautiful beach the sea is so lovely warm gets a bit choppy in the afternoon. One day we thought we would go around the pool so we went down there and I counted 35 bed that had towels on them when it states on the sign DONT RESERVE SUNBEDS mum spoke to the guy in Spanish again why is it like that he said thats what they do when your not allowed he said to go speak to the reception we we did she said yep take the towels of and put them on the floor and if there is a problem tell them to come on see me so we did what she said there were a group of 9 bed with towels on them we waited 2 half hours for them to come so we gave up and mum took the towel of one of them only one not 3! they didnt like it at all well tuff luck. We used have dinner and go for a walk around Can Picafort which may I say is lovely but like to add that can Picafort is mainly aimed at German so is the hotel. But make a visit to the guy doing spray painted down by the beach front they are awesome. I would stress that if you dont mind having a youth club meet you as soon as you get back to the hotel in the evening then your ok! my god there used to be about 20-30 teenagers hanging around outside every evening which we didnt think was a good look for the hotel. the entertainment we never saw but when we would come home in the evening we heard it and it was terrible really embarrassing. we had kids running up and down the corridors late at night and playing with lifts I guess the parents dont care what they are doing as long as they are out their hair.
All in all I properly wouldnt recommend this hotel but would recommend Can Picafort as a resort we are booking again for next year but going to the better hotel the First Choice Holiday Village which is just up the road which we had a walk around and it is beautiful much suited us!! please listen to the reviews as I reads them before I came away as didnt believe them I said I would make my own mind up but they were all spot on.
- Advice: that the beach is beautiful and that Can Picafort lovely to walk around in the evening.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, after reading the reviews I think I was in a different hotel !!! We arrived at 1 am & the receptionist ( a lovely young man, who we didn't see again) opened the restaraunt so that we could have something to eat & drink, this has never happened anywhere else. All of the staff especially on the reception were extremely friendly & helpful The room was comfortable & clean with the linen changed every couple of days The food in the restaraunt was very nice with plenty to chose from. There are 2 pools, the 1 in the hotel is square & where the animation team do aerobics, water polo etc the other pool(across the road) is bigger & free form, there were always plenty of sun beds this pool also has its own bar We would use this hotel again
