Just arrived back from a nice week at "hotel astoria playa".
Hotel very nice and in a perfect location, entertainment good and an excellent baby pool.
Restaurant staff however were something to write home about (but not all i must add), they were rude, had no patience what so ever with children and most of them needed to learn some manners.
Apart from that the hotel was very nice.

Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from the astoria playa hotel after having a fab 2 weeks.
Hotel was kept very clean and tidy.
There was no trouble in finding a sun lounger around the pool as there was plenty.
Pool was a nice size but i could imagine it would be very busy in peak season.
The hotel snack bar 'EL RINCON' was very nice and on arrival we were given a 10% off voucher which was a nice jesture.
Pool sometimes was full of leaves but wouldnt put you off going in.
The hotel resturante was a big let down, we knew about the shared seating arrangements but didnt think it would be as bad as it was.
The special of the day was always pizza, one day it was chicken nuggets. Be Prepared!
We ate out everynight.
The resturante staff didnt look like they could be botherd at all, they gave us horrible looks now and then and would pretend they didnt understand when we asked for simple things such as water. 2 small bottles of water cost us 10 euro.
The location of the hotel was spot on, right in the middle of all the bars and resturants with the beach straight over the road.
The marina was about a 15min walk away down the prom which was nice and was full of more bars.
Enjoyed it but wouldnt go back again.

We have just returned from our second visit to this hotel, and enjoyed it so much we are planning our 3rd! The hotel is clean and spacious, even though the hotel was full, there was always a sunlounger/sofa/ table to be had. The pool is great and clean (even if too cold for very small children and babies), however, ours (9 - 10yrs) were never out of it. The food was excellent with full english and continental for breakfast and a wide variety of salads (raw and cooked) and hot dishes to choose from in the eve. The entertainment was average, music quizzes, bingo, live band, magic and flamenco dancers, with games and activities during the day. It suited our group, (2 single mums and 3 kids) although the majority of guests went out after dinner each evening. I believe the entertainment improves in the main summer season (july and aug). The hotel staff, were predominantly the same as last year and the bar staff, (especially Valentine - who is a great portrait artist!!!), were professional and friendly, clearly taking a pride in their work.

Great hotel. Its position is a five minute stroll from the beach across the main road. The pool is quite small but adequate with plenty of sun loungers dotted around.
The rooms were well fitted out and had good closet space. They were cleaned daily with a change of towels each morning. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room had a television, air conditioning and a small balcony overlooking the tennis court and mini golf area. The food was excellent (serve yourself) and there was a good variety of dishes. With the breakfast menu there were hot drinks and cold juices available but with the evening meal you had to purchase drinks which were reasonably priced. Guests are allocated a table on the first night which you keep throughout your stay. Guests share a table, so be warned, if you want to dine alone it is a non starter.
There are plenty of local bars and shops around the hotel with a good snack outlet directly opposite for those self catering or feel a bit peckish between meals. The surrounding area is very flat for those who enjoy a stroll and for those who don’t the bus stops are situated right outside the hotel to the other nearby resorts. There is entertainment in the evenings and a kids club in the day.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning next year.

Just arrived back from the" Astoria Playa" in Alcudia, and found this place a very good class of Hotel.
The rooms were first class and very comfortable, with carpets on the floor made it very welcoming. Plenty of wardrobe space, bathroom spotless, and always clean towels. We had a TV in our room and thought that just added a final touch to our holiday.
Everything was on your door step, i.e. beach, shops, bars and restaurants and also lovely walks around the resorts.
I would certainly let my friends know about this Hotel and give it 10/10.
The Hotel Staff were very helpful too.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I hope to go back next year.
It’s a very clean resort and all the staff are very friendly and it isn't too expensive.
They had a wide range of entertainment on at night time and the place of the resort was excellent, not far from the beach or bars.
It also had a tennis court and mini golf.
There was something for everyone really.
Also the meals were lovely.
I loved it, and I plan to go again next year.

Hotel was great, food excellent, location great, entertainment is ok, all very clean. I don't think you would be disappointed with this hotel. Approx. 1hr from airport. Staff very pleasant. Children’s reps were very good. The only downside which other people have mentioned as well, is the table sharing, I do not think it is a good idea. Would go back to this hotel.

Had two twin rooms, took son and his girlfriend as 21st birthday treat, excellent food plenty of variety English and European. And my son's a fussy eater.
Great bar staff Valantine and his staff where more than willing to help and made some of the evenings more entertaining.
Hotel entertainment was a bit lack luster, ok for little kids and who wants to play "bingo".
Rooms comfortable and kept in good condition, nice size Hotel not oversized. Close to all amenities beach, restaurants bars etc, but amazingly quite and relaxing in the hotel.

The food was excellent with plenty of choice, however my husband and I were not too pleased to be sat with other people in the dining room.
We would prefer a table for two, but had no choice in the matter! The rooms were much the same as any other hotel and were very clean. We did miss having no television and I missed not having a hairdryer. I would say food wise the hotel is of 4 star quality.
The entertainment was a bit dodgy but as we spent most evenings out it didn't bother us.

Great hotel. We were a family of four. The room had plenty of space, even with the two kids, it was cleaned every day.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff. The food was varied. Breakfasts were the usual cereal, bread, meats, fruit or full English. Evening meals were from 6.30, and the choice was excellent. Always two choices of potato, pasta, pizza for the kids, lovely fish dishes, and several themed nights. Chinese, Traditional Majorcan.
The hotel provided evening entertainment, starting with a mini disco for the children and then various activities, ranging from Quiz nights, Magicians and a Parrot show! For those who miss there TV there was a large flat screen in the bar area, with English programs.
The hotel itself was in a great spot. Only a short walk to the beach, and the shops and restaurants were just over the road.
If you've got young children, and don't fancy the hotel entertainment, there were loads of bars in the area. I would recommend Cheers bar, it has great entertainment, and is not far from the hotel.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday, and would recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel , it’s very well set out . There wasn’t any TV’s , kettles or any other electrical supplies there unless you rented them out weekly. The staff were very helpful but there was one woman in the dining room she’d wizz out in a constant mood. Not being friendly or welcoming at all. The evening entertainment was pretty good but would get boring if you weren’t taken a sip out of your “coco loco” a milkshake you could get from the bar at the side of the entertainment stage. every night they’d be bingo, which was quite annoying as who comes on holiday to play bingo every night . Also on the 2nd last night there was men dressed up as Tina turner etc which isn’t nice for a family resort as I could tell all the men were running from it all at the break before the 2nd part!!! as so did I as it was very disturbing lol at one point there was a nun !!!!!!!! that’s juts wrong . the food at the restaurant for brekkie and tea time wasn’t that varied and one night I had 4 potato things only cause I didn’t like anything at all , also they take far to much space up with about 4 out of 6 trays of salad !!!!!!!! also the tea is from 7-9:30 which at my standards is tea time because 7 is abit l8 .over all I was very happy with it and would definitely come back there again
