We were greeted with a glass of home made rum punch and asked to take a seat and watch the sea while our room key and cases were taken to our room, amazing greeting after a long journey. The atmosphere took a while to get used to, however from the very first day we were... more

This hotel did not warrant the four diamonds that Airtours awarded it. The food was excellent but the room we were allocated could only be described as 2*. The air conditioning unit leaked and when you stood by the sink to make tea you were dripped on constantly. The lamp... more

This is an Excellent hotel. The Staff here are very friendly and very helpful. The Food is fantastic. There is the mermaid restaurant which is a la carte and the beach pot for snacks. Lovely! Location is good with easy access to St Laurance Gap, Oistins and Bridgetown. ... more

great
i stayed at the sea breeze in june for a two week all inclusive holiday, to be really honest the place is great, ok the water facilities and table tennis etc, do need up grading to some standard, i agree as i'm a active person on holiday and these were not up to standard, although pete the water sports guy was a bonus, he's grate bloke and you could talk for hours to him. as for the staff hey come on guys you be nice to them they'll be nice to you. i found them very helpfull and very professional. i think some people are just to far up their... more
A perfect chill out zone
We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at the Sea Breeze at had a fantastic time. There were 10 of us in our party all adults exept two boys aged 8 and 11. The staff at the sea breeze were brilliant, and I can only wonder at other reviews which say differently. They were friendly and extremely efficient. Dale on reception is particularly worth a mention, who had to put up with a lot from us (sorry Dale!) The rooms were a little 'tired' but with a daily maid service were kept extremely clean and each morning, the whole outside... more
We loved it so much we got engaged there!
We stayed at the Sea Breeze in September and being our first trip to the Carribean, were not entirely sure what to expect. Our 'superior' room was perhaps not quite as modern as we'd anticipated but was spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout our two week stay. We were unfortunately caught up in Hurricane Ivan but the hotel staff were absolutely excellent when it came to keeping us informed as to what was happening, boarding up our room so we were as safe as possible and post-hurricane they had the hotel back to normal within a... more
FABULOUS!!!!
My family and I were transferred from Escape at the Gap Resort to Sea Breeze in august 2004, after a bad experience at Escape. We absolutely adored Sea Breeze, with the staff so friendly, and the management very attentive and interested in peoples opinions. Sea Breeze is a very relaxed place to stay at, and represents the Barbadian way of life excellently. If I could afford it, my family and I would definitely return to this resort again, without a shadow of a doubt.
Wonderful Property!
We moved to the Sea Breeze after spending 6 very long nights at another budget property with no a/c. We thought we had died and gone to heaven. Beautiful property right on the beach. We had an ocean view room which overlooked the pool and the view was incredible. It was a very clean property and we encounter excellent service. (they even arranged for us to be picked up at 5:15 am to be taken to the airport) However, we did not go all-inclusive, but the Breakfast Buffet was included with our room, which changed every morning and was quit... more
The best place in the world to Chill-Out
I agree with the last reviewer. It was a lovely place to chill-out. Although we've been to the Maldives, Antigua, Italy etc and they were Fab, we think the resort was even better, very Ronseal (i.e. exactly what it said on the tin !!). Extra Special thanks to Waple Parris. What a Darling. She set up a complimentary dinner in the Gazebo for my Anniversary. Very special evening indeed. We are booking to go back in April next year and this time we are taking the rest of our family too. Anyone who Dis's the Hotel needs to be a bit more... more
A distictly average hotel....think twice before you book
This is not a 4 * hotel I would put it at 1 * at best 2*. We returned on the 6th of Sept having had a 2 week all inclusive stay. The rooms are "tired" and in desperate need of updating and a deep clean. The air conditioning in our room leaked and had no remote to control the temperature output. The TV reception was poor and remote broken. The beds are hard and pillows tiny. The food is satisfactory if not repetative and predictable. The birds in the dining room are freely allowed to fly in peck at the food and fly off.... more
Management response from A TripAdvisor Member

In response to the past user the management at Sea Breeze would like to reply. It is unfortunate that this writer did not enjoy their stay at Sea Breeze. Our housekeepers are constantly praised by guests over the cleanliness of rooms day after day. If any guests reports a problem with an Air conditioner the matter will be referred to maintenance and fixed. As for there being no remote, this is not the case. All Air conditioners come with remote controls. Sea Breeze guests generally remark on how comfortable our beds are and the pillows are a normal standard size and by no means ‘tiny’. Birds are a problem in every restaurant in Barbados and although staff are very aware and do their best to contain them, at the same time the majority of the guests tend to encourage them by feeding them and insist on their presence. The pool is thoroughly cleaned and tested daily first thing in the morning by the trained maintenance staff. We have not had any reports of ear infections much less 5 at one time! We do not advertise our evening entertainment to be active in that there is no fire eating or limbo dancing but more of a relaxed light entertainment affair with a different entertainer on the five nights offering great music. Should guests want livelier entertainment we are very close to the popular St. Lawrence Gap and therefore we can offer the best of both worlds. Our gym indeed has basic equipment but we don’t advertise differently and should there be a problem with the equipment if it is reported to maintenance it will be fixed. Our guests can enjoy Pico sailing, Windsurfing, kayaking, boogie boarding and snorkelling and thoroughly enjoy every trip in the sea. Our staff are usually highly praised by most guests and many of our repeat guests say they will return because of the friendly staff.

Caring staff
Just returned from 10 days at the sea breeze hotel. Thought i would give you my own thoughts on the family run business. Firstly big thanks to the staff as follows waple parris ( resataurant supervisor), Mark, anthony , hazel ann and anne marie (management team), and richard and elleston (bar men) and dale the reception. They made it really well worth the stay. Booked my honemoon there and unfortunately got caught in hurricane ivan. The staff where really caring and looked after us in a real professional manner. Thank you again to you all.... more
Definately NOT a 4 STAR+ as stated in the brochures. More a 1*
Overall a totally dreadful hotel with extremely appalling service. Women waitresses in particular were very rude (two in particular). Booked a superior room and were given a standard room with a view of a large palm tree. Hotel states that evening entertainment is provided - not my idea of evening entertainment if you call one man playing the steel drum for three hours. Absolutely no vegeterian options on the menu - and staff were quite reluctant to prepare food for vegetarians. The food they did prepare was extremely BLAND.<br... more
Love it or... Hate it
We are reading contrasting reviews about the hotel. Well, let's fix a couple of things straight: if you are going to Barbados to swim in an olympic pool or to exercise in the best of breed gym, then don't go to Sea Breeze. There are 2 pools, but they are very small and quite modest, even if there are plenty of deckchairs. And the gym is even more modest with little weights and half broken equipment. However, my girlfriend and I really liked the whole experience. It was our first time in the Caribbean and we selected the hotel and the... more
