We got this as a last minute deal with allocation on arrival and we were not disappointed.
The resort was beautiful and the staff were great. We were on the ground floor and the room was lovely. We spent a few days by the pool and a few by the beach. They were both very clean.
The food was great and loads of choice. Most nights we eat at the buffet but we did book into the Mexican restaurant twice and the food there was delicious. We were only in the resort for a week and I would certainly go again.
Although it is quite secluded and not much options to do anything close outside the resort you have everything you need there so you don't need to wonder out much.

We chose this resort for our wedding. It exceeded all of our expectations and more.
The food was very good with lots of choices every meal and the snack bar was always fresh and tasty. The drinks were wonderful, but bring a thermal mug if you would like a larger drink. I was fine with smaller drinks because you can always get more-it's all inclusive.
The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were a little hard, but when is it ever like home? Who stays in the room anyways? The resort is beautiful and clean and well taken care of.
The beach was AMAZING with awesome snorkelling (yeah turtles! Most beautiful thing I have EVER seen!!) You could swim right with them!
There is a little town 5 minutes up the beach with little shops with souveniers and restaurants. It was a great place to visit and take a walk around.
Very quiet and spread out so you never feel crowded. Very laid back. Plenty of beach chairs and palapas. No complaints of biting insects while we were there. They hosted a wonderful wedding for us and our 7 guests.
This is a wonderful place and one we will be back to again for sure!!
We stayed here for 2 weeks....

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It’s a lovely hotel, clean etc with a brilliant beach.
Most of the staff are friendly but we found that the bar staff were reluctant to serve you if you didn’t wave a tip at them.
Not much choice with the food if you’re a picky eater like me, but the pool bar did burgers, chips, salads etc which all the kids enjoyed. There are 2 ala carte restaurants on site which you can book once a week.
The Mexican was nice, good hot food with the staff getting you to drink tequila slammers (you didn’t have to but they did insist!)
We never went to the Italian as there were quite a few complaints so we never bothered.
There is one ice-cream machine in the pool bar which closes at 5 pm so that it for the kids!!
Lots for snorkelers and diving. They all come to see the turtles etc.
After 5 pm the only bar open is the main bar. The animation team start out here with games for all and then go over to the theatre to perform. A duo takes over but after an hour you will find yourself waiting for the animation team to come back. They are very good and work non stop throughout the day and night.
No nightlife on site. You have to go in to playa Del Carmen which will cost you £20 each way in a taxi. There is some nightlife a 15 min walk down the beach in Akumal village but be careful as there is no lighting along the beach.
The security is very good, all though a few tried to get into the complex via the beach but were soon ejected.
Overall, we had a good holiday (except for the food and the duo) and may consider going back to Mexico but not this hotel. There are still places in the world to visit.
I expected a good holiday but...

I expected a good holiday but the holiday exceeded all my expectations.
I cannot fault anything the accommodation was good it was a three star hotel it was clean on arrival and kept clean by friendly unobtrusive cleaners. There was an iron ironing board and hairdryer in the room. The food (choice of food) and restaurant service was excellent. The security was very reassuring and again unobtrusive.
Beaches were excellent, miles of beach you could be on your own or with people as you chose. Plenty to do and see. The animation team were very good and friendly and were there if you wanted them but nothing was pushed on you. Clean beach pool towels provided as necessary. Loads of sun beds...
