A nice holiday resort, but I would suggest mainly suited to people looking for sunbathing and beauty treatments in the Thalassotherapy centre (as long as you don't mind the price!) It has a nice beach that didn't get too crowded and plenty of choice of pools with an outdoor and indoor pool to choose from.
I would agree with previous comments about the hotel, that it is a reasonable standard but I think the photographs make it out as a plush 4/5 star where as when you get there the details are not of such a high standard.
We found the attitude of the staff variable with the waiters being welcoming and pleasant to the Thalassotherapy reception staff being very abrupt and unhelpful. The Thalassotherapy is not quite what I expected. It deals mainly with people wanting numerous treatments such as botox and laser therapy for quite a cost, where as I was expecting cheaper scrubs and massages etc for a cheaper price than available at home.
The guests while we were there ranged from a few English, mainly French, German and Russian. In the evening people tended to keep themselves to themselves with not much going on, although there are some shows in the sister resort- they weren't great though!
Over all it was a nice resort but I wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

I stayed for a week in late May 2007. I don't normally go on package holidays but this was a good option for relaxing week where everything is done for you.
The staff were very friendly and helpful - they managed to get back a bag that was left on a tour bus.
Our room was cleaned daily and was spacious and the mini bar was a great place to store your own water. There are a few shops opposite the hotel and they had no problem with you bringing in your own drink or snacks. The only problem with the room was that the air-con did not seem to work, they came to fix it and there was a slight improvement, but it did get quite warm at night, so might be uncomfortable in the height of summer.
There were plenty of sunloungers and there was someone on hand to bring cushions and towels. The beach was close and lovely for a walk.
Breakfast and dinner were plentiful - freshly made crepes and omelettes for breakfast. Not that much choice for vegetarians, but there were plenty of salads, breads and cheese and lots of desserts!
The Thalasso therapy Centre is quite expensive, but an indulgent treat. When we tried to book individual treatments we were told they were fully booked all week, but when we asked to book a package of treatments - there was availability! It costs around £10 to use the swimming pool - which while expensive was worth it and a nice break from the midday sun, a couple of hours just flew by.
We did the half day trip to Carthage - as the only two English speakers on the bus we did feel like a bit of an inconvenience to the French speaking guide and other passengers.
Take a taxi to Nabuel - but be ready to be hassled and barter - the shopkeepers are persistent, so walk around for a while and have in mind what you want to buy and what you are willing to pay for and be willing to walk away - chances are they will drop their price which will be ridiculously high in the first place.
I would recommend this for an early summer week away.

We stayed at the Royal Azur Thalasso Golf Hotel for one week, unfortunately we only saw the sun for three days.
On the first wet day we decided to go in the indoor pool via the Thalassotherapy Centre where we were told at reception that we had to pay for this facility £15 per person.
Food was very nice, great choices most evenings. Plenty of taxis into the Marina unfortunately a lot of building work and road work going on to the end of this year which spoilt the scenery.
Word of advice keep your safe key on your person at all times even though it’s quite a cumbersome size key fob. We had the misfortune to have a mobile and gold chain missing which was kept in the safe.

Good cheap holiday (£630 for 2 inc flights, transfer and HB).
I would agree with the previous review that it is not a 5 star and the furniture a little dated - but everything works and is clean.
No worries about the food - good choice from the buffet both at Breakfast and Dinner (swordfish steaks great). The hotel staff were very friendly and very attentive (but not too much - just enough).
Would recommend to anyone wanting a cheap get away out of season.

Very impressive hotel, when you see it for the first time it is amazing. Beautiful marble floors, impressive ceilings and a fountain in the middle of the floor.
Very nice bedroom but would not say it was five star. Swimming pools are excellent and so is the beach. We enjoyed our holiday there and I must say the staff are very very nice and very helpful.
