My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time in this hotel this May. This was our quick break holiday this year and we highly recommend this hotel.
Read before the recommendation and was sceptical at first but the price was right so we decided to have ago.
The place was clean and quite, but would imagine it to be busier come summer. We enjoyed long walks on the beach which is very clean. Dabbled a bit with jet skis and windsurfing which was fun.
I dared to use the SPA and found the staff helpful and friendly and patronised the place. Compared to what I pay in London I found the prices very attractive - I pay three times as much back home for an massage - I really do recommend the SPA and the gym which is well equipped. Consider also a jog down the beach every morning - fantastic!
Food was good with plenty of nearby restaurants within walking distance. Location is fantastic and we also did some scuba diving in Comino and Gozo - what an experience.
Fantastic hotel overall - do check it out.

The whole hotel and nearby beach was lovely, the sea was a clear blue and the beach was very well looked after.
The hotel room was basic but very well equipped. The staff were friendly, helpful and generally very nice people to talk to. There was a huge variety of food both breakfast and dinner and good entertainment at night. The outdoor and indoor swimming areas were lovely; we spent many days outside sunbathing - in March!
It was easy to get from the hotel up into Mellieha itself via the local buses - all very cheap! All in all I had a wonderful time in Malta and Mellieha Bay and made some new friends whilst I was out there. In fact me and my friend liked it so much we're going back to Mellieha Bay and the Riu Seabank this July.
We give it a big thumbs up.

We decided to take a short break to Malta without out children for the 1st time ever (9yrs) and went to Malta for 5 days to this hotel.
There were 4 adults in our party ranging from 20 - 38.
I must admit that this hotel seemed to have a lot of older folk and I think we were frowned upon a tad for enjoying a cocktail and laughing, when everybody else just seemed to sit and listen to the entertainment rather than actually speak to each other, so this does seem to be a more mature hotel.
Overall though this was a very nice hotel, the rooms were spacious and cleaned daily (although maybe the decor could be given a facelift) with huge closets and a few coat hangers.
The bathrooms were clean with a hairdryer although I would still recommend you take your own, as if you have long hair you would still be drying it at midnight!
The pool area is very well kept and very clean there were plenty of sun beds (in Feb.) and a lot of dif places to sunbath, the pool however was freezing which may have been because of the time of year but very hard to say.
The indoor pool was also very clean although quite small so not many people can swim at the same time.
We stayed on a B & B basis and the food was very nice including full English, toast, fresh fruit and pastries and the staff were very pleasant.
The one thing that let this hotel down was the spa, myself and friend had a French manicure which was very expensive only to find that 4 hrs later it was still wet and peeling off!
When we returned to them the offered us 1.5 lira back out of our 13.75 lira that we had paid, which I thought was very poor and told them so but to no avail.
The restaurant downstairs is very expensive and very noisy but if you have a car or catch the bus, there are some lovely restaurants up the hill, which are much better value with far nicer food.
All in all I would recommend this hotel (maybe for older clientele) with friendly staff and nice food but would steer clear of the spa!

My wife and I stayed during January 07 and had a delightful stay.
This Hotel is very clean and the staff are helpful in every way, whether it be the restaurant, bar or reception.
The food on offer is varied with the inclusion of some local dishes. It is nicely displayed and the quality of the cooking is very good.
The bedrooms are of reasonable size and nice and bright. We had a room overlooking the pool area and hills and were fortunate because this position, had a sunny period from mid morning to late afternoon.
The hotel probably does not suit people looking for more nightlife but is ideally suited to couples and in the summer month’s couples with young children because of the beach which is very safe for bathing.
We would certainly stay at this hotel again when coming to Malta, well done the Seabank.
One small criticism, to enhance the hotel further would be the introduction of an English speaking entertainment programme on TV. instead of the two news channels now available.

I think this was the best holiday I ever had. Me and my best friend (us aged 18 and 17) stayed in the Riu Seabank for a week from 24-31 Oct. The hotel was just about perfect.
Rooms were high quality, cleaned every day and comfortable. There was air-con too.
Half board was good as all the meals were nice and the drinks were cheap, and could be added to the room bill at the end.
The bar was the best thing there, as the staff were so friendly and it stayed open quite late. We got chatting to a guy from near us in the UK and he bought us a couple of drinks too. The entertainment included Malta's Eurovision entry from a year ago! The hotel was near the town where there were bars and restaurants and the beach which was perfect at this time of year, still really warm but not too packed.
We visited St Julian’s bay a couple of times from the nightlife of Malta and its just 50cents there on the bus, really cheap. A taxi is 5 lire which is £10ish each. The hotel can arrange taxis. The staff were all really helpful in the hotel. No complaints except why am I not still there now? Brilliant stay, brilliant hotel.

My boyfriend & I stayed at the sea bank for a 5 day break. The rooms are immaculate & all the hotel is clean & very well kept. I e- mailed the hotel before we arrived to request a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together, I received a reply stating they would do all that they could, when we arrived at reception they told me they had tried to accommodate me with my requests but they were all taken at the minute but were happy for me to check the next day & they would happily move us to a room with a double bed. However the view from the room we were given was so perfect we were quite happy to stay put!
I really like the small touches this hotel gives you, like when you arrive we were handed a glass of sparkling wine, advised we were booked in for dinner at 8.30 that night & also offered us a free stay at a hotel in Gozo for a few nights instead of the sea bank at no extra cost to try & promote Gozo. The beach at Mellieha is lovely, no sign of jellyfish at all, very family friendly, the water is so shallow you can go really far out & only be up to your waist. Do not pay 11 lira for the blue lagoon tour offered by your tour operator, go to the tunny net (a minutes walk out of the hotel on the right hand side) & get this must do trip for 3.95 lira!
Only problem with the hotel is the evening entertainment, its rubbish, I would advise using the late night bus service to Bugibba only 50 cents & its direct, runs till 3 a.m. food in the hotel is excellent, staff are amazing, you feel really personally looked after. Would definitely go back. Easily 4 star.

The Seabank Hotel staff were courteous and helpful, the rooms were, on arrival, clean. Maid service was every day, rooms were cleaned and new towels provided.
The main restaurant, (we booked and had evening meals as well), served good eatable food, with selections to suit everybody’s taste, no matter what nationality. For alternative evening meals, the Hotel offers discount at the Pizzaria (next door) or the Mexican food restaurant at the 'Tunny Net', a two minute walk. The hotel is ideally situated for the 'child friendly' beach in Mellieha Bay.
The Hotel offers evening entertainment every night, variety to suit most peoples taste.
This hotel is recommended due to its location, service and overall value for money.

If you don’t want to be disappointed read this before you book: DON’T GO HERE - it was the holiday from hell. This hotel has been given a facelift on the cheap, has poor facilities, which literally scrape the barrel to qualify as a 4 star. I myself read the reviews for the hotel and thought well it can’t be that bad - oh my god was I wrong. We moved rooms 3 times in 2 days, food in the hotel’s restaurant was just awful - undercooked greasy fish lovely! You cannot relax here the maid’s start at 08:30 making more noise than a civil war, the staff are rude and 'service' does not exist. We wanted a simple holiday, just a nice beach and to relax - the beach is disgusting - dog faeces everywhere and rubbish. Nothing is clean or in working order anywhere and it’s very expensive. Never again am I going to Malta or this god awful hotel.

We booked our holiday through JMC, thinking this holiday would be a mix of culture and sun we couldn’t wait. We travel quite alot and to somewhere different each time.
We were disappointed I had read one review saying that Malta was like Skegness in an oven I'm sorry to say I couldn’t agree more !!
The hotel was clean but tatty and worn, staff - majority of them grumpy. Breakfast was ok but like feeding time at the zoo. The other restaurants attached to the hotel were expensive and only catered for people who like chips, pizza and bad burgers every night. Very Family oriented hotel with lots of children. The evening entertainment was so loud that if you wanted a quite drink outside forget it !! I am all for some evening music but people need to be able to talk !!
The resort however was the worst bit, we were sold on the idea of restaurants and real rustic Maltese charm, well we didn’t see any of this at all, it was over crowded and tacky. and the restaurants that were there were fast food ones. The old village that we were told we could walk too was up a hill and the only route too it was a busy road which I wouldn’t suggest my worst enemy walked along !!
Once in the village via the bus service (which is very good) there was only a few bars and restaurants. I have to say if anyone does go to Malta go to old village and visit the Arches we had the best meal there that we have eaten in years and it was cheaper than the fast food in the hotel. a really luxurious decor and good wine and lovely staff a real treat - wonderful !!
If you do decide to go to Malta, Hire a car and visit GOZO the neighbouring island via ferry, also visit the old and new capitals of the island these are beautiful beware of opening times of museums though we got caught out.

Just got back home from a week’s stay at the Seabank with my girlfriend and feel compelled to review due to the quality of the holiday all round.
The staff at the hotel were top class and all were cheerful and friendly right from the cleaners up to the management.
The hotel was smart and very clean and facilities in the rooms were very good. Our room was air conditioned which kicked in automatically once the balcony door was closed but could easily be overridden by a panel on the wall. In addition to the air-con there was also a circular roof fan.
There was a lovely cocktail bar in the reception area with live entertainment each morning and also a more traditional English style pub lower down in the hotel. Prices at both were extremely reasonable to say the least.
My only gripe would be that perhaps a little later night entertainment wouldn't have gone a miss as most turns finished at around 11/11.30pm
The resort itself was quiet by night with a scattering of decent restaurants and has a lovely beach with the shallowest and warmest water I’ve ever set foot in.
I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest recommending this hotel to anyone.
