Superb! Breakfast, all you can eat if you want. Nice 'Algarve bar' in main lobby for a quick pint before venturing out for the evening.
New town is ok if you like the loud pumping music although there are some good bars and pubs in new town so all is not lost.
Old town is quieter but not all together silent! All in all folks the hotel and the resort well worth a visit.

We have just got home from a lovely holiday in the Brisa hotel the hotel was beautiful and the food was great breakfast was cheap considering how much the other places were charging but this was a buffet as much as you can eat. The weather we could not fault it was hot everyday and we came back with a lovely tan.
If you want a lively night out go to the strip witch is about a 10-15min walk. But if you want to eat out go to the old town which is fantastic there is plenty of entertainment for all ages. the old town can get a bit claustrophobic because of some narrow streets which have table and chairs outside with bands playing in the square of the old town there is for kids with puppet shows etc. etc.
We had a great time and we would recommend it .swimming pool is brilliant good size so all can play and chill also there is a sun trap. Enjoy.

Just returned from the Brisa Sol, we were supposed to be staying at the Perola Do and having booked the holiday for my Mothers birthday am very glad we stayed where we did!
Weather is cold at this time of year so take plenty of warm items. we only had three days of sun, so the hotel is perfectly located for glum weather days.
The strip was fairly quiet (although it is out of season and you can envisage that it is loud in the summer!) The old town (although currently under regeneration) is fab and there are many sea view bars that allow you to while away the hours.
For the prices of the bus or the 'train' you may as well get a cab (Just outside the Modelo) for 3.25 Euros, well worth it!
The apartments are very basic (we were self catering but had breakfast thrown in due to the last minute hotel change) but are very clean. We had a problem with the shower which was resolved within an hour ... You can not ask for much more.
The bar entertainment is not great (as a 28 year old taking a 60 year old we both agreed on that!) yet the staff are wonderful!
Great location if you would like a mix of both old and new town.
Would recommend this and again am very glad we did not have to stay at the run down Perola Do ... Vile!

We went in off-peak season but found the hotel brilliant. We did not eat in as other reviews stated there are plenty of restaurants in the local vicinity even MacDonalds just across the road. We found some of the reception staff great and encouraged us to learn some Portuguese.
As well as the train there are also two buses which tour the area, one being green or one being blue they just go in opposite directions but need to ask the driver. For a round trip it is just one euro or for any length of journey. The bus stops are on the main road between 'the Watch roundabout' and the MacDonalds. The best suggestion I would give is: leave the hotel turn left and walk past the next main hotel as you turn the corner there is a bus stop and you can then pick either of them up from here. You can then tour the old and new town and its cheaper than the train. Ensure its not going back to the bus station as you may need to pay again so can't guarantee this. The drivers we have seen are young and speak some English so were helpful. There is also a 'red' bus route which takes you around the other side of the old town and I believe this costs a euro too. You need walk down the slope towards the beach area and there are bus stops here which states 'red' on the sign.
Just a word of warning "watch out for time-share touts" which can hang around outside the hotel, this is also the same on the main strip and this can become a little frustrating. We have now part of the timeshare group and we are not disappointed but it can be annoying if you don't want to be pestered in this way.

Brilliant holiday. Hotel slap bang between old and new resort. Little train takes you round resort for 3 euros for a daily ticket. Lots of lovely restaurants to eat at in new and old resort. Alfredos and Tim Tims Chinese in old town (Tim Tims opposite hotel) to name but two.
Mary Anns in new town for English food. Bar staff at hotel brilliant especially Oscar and Victor although Luis is a real miso - nicknamed Smiler!! Always staff about cleaning and doing maintenance although in such a way that you don’t really notice them. Definitely going again, perhaps next year.

The room was a studio for 3 people and was a good size with TV, microwave, toaster and fridge. There is a kettle to use on the cooker hob, but take an electric travel kettle, its much quicker. The room had a balcony with a pool and a side sea view and although this costs extra, it is worth paying otherwise you overlook the busy main road or the supermarket next door.
The staff were generally friendly but we found the reception staff to be a bit off-hand and not very informative. Also, the wait at the pool bar can occasionally be a bit excessive as it doesn’t seem to have enough staff, although this was high season. Other than that, there is a decent selection of food for a light lunch and it is reasonably priced. You don’t have to use the pool bar as you can take your own food and drink, bought from the very convenient supermarket next door. This supermarket has everything you can buy at home.
Location wise, the hotel is situated virtually in-between the new town and the old town. The new town is very lively and full of sports bars but was not for us. The old town has more character and a good selection of restaurants and the main square side streets offer a lot of bars if you just want a drink. Be warned - the hill back up to the hotel is long, steep and uneven. Get a taxi back to the hotel for 4 Euros, it's worth it, or get the tourist train which costs 3 Euros for all day use.
We booked two trips through the tour operator. On one trip the bus was one hour late picking up at the hotel and the second was 35 minutes late picking up. This does not seem to be unusual so take that into account and be prepared to wait.
Generally a good holiday and we did all there was to do but it lacked something for us which would not make us want to return.

Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff.
Studio room was spacious, clean with comfy bed and two armchairs. Fridge, tele, toaster and two electric hobs (microwaves only in apartments). Large bathroom with 1200 watt hairdryer, and average sized balcony overlooking the sea(most apartments overlook pool).
Entertainment every night except Sunday. Enjoyed them all except for karaoke the girl spent too much time smoking and talking to bar staff, we did complain!
The old town is very Portuguese and The Strip is very lively. A bus (more like a little train) picks up outside the hotel 3 euros each but you can jump on and off all day long. Nice local restaurants, Alfredos and Chinese and tried a few in the old town.
Pool does get busy I was down there at 8.30 doors opened at 9.00 and then it’s like wacky races and for once it was the Brits and not the Germans!!!
We had a fab holiday and would definitely go back.

This hotel is beautiful if you wish to stay here it really is worth paying the money for a pool view!!!

The pool is big and the hotel is very clean. It is a 15 min walk to the new strip and also the old town! So you are perfectly situated between the two. I my self prefer the new town and would recommend to any one with children to go legends at the top of the strip as it has a bouncy castle for the kids and does 2 for 1 on the beer. Then round the corner the Irish bar fantastic.
But back to the hotel I stayed in a 2-bed studio and it was amazing the only real downfall is the entertainment in the bar but then I did go out of peak! And also felt it was a bit unfair that you had to pay for the tennis, spa pool, sauna and gym.
But nevertheless I will still go back next year.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. I went with my mum a few years ago on a last minute allocation on arrival, and we were ecstatic when we saw our accommodation.
We stayed in a 1 bed roomed apartment and it was pristine with all the facilities we could ask for. The pool was lovely too and spotless. The staff are great and really helpful and Portugal is gorgeous. Would love to back.

Brisa Sol is an excellent aparthotel. We arrived here thinking we where in the wrong place. We found the accommodation wonderful sorry we didn't get time to use all the facilities. We found the old own had the most character, the Strip did not do much for us, By the time you walked there you had enough and don't bother going to the Irish part the beer is crap. All in all I would go back to the Algarve but not in a hurry, if I did though I would want to stay at the Brisa sol.
Look out for the waiters in the hotel they are superb and the eating is very good value for money.

This was our first stay at an Aparthotel and it was a good first choice. With reading a lot of good reviews we were not disappointed. We stayed in a one bed roomed apartment with a side sea view and a pool view. The apartment was very spacious and clean in fact the whole hotel was spotless.
The pool is lovely and never gets over crowded probably why there is no life guard, our children l4 and l0 swam daily. Be warned guests do put out towels as soon as doors open to pool area and are gone for hours! Pool bar good for a quick snack. supermarket next door has everything you need and more!
We also found the reception staff to be a bit off-hand and not at all informative the cleaners made up for them! Much happier people.
Location wise, the hotel is situated in-between the new town and the old. The new Town is very, very busy bursting with shops and bars, shops selling mostly the same things! Only went once. The old town was a lot nicer with a lot more character, visited many times during our stay. Plenty of places to eat you’re spoiled for choice. The little tourist train is just ideal to get around pick up from outside Brisa Sol although for a party of 4 it was a little cheaper to go by taxi from outside the supermarket next door. Not really ideal location for the Beach a 15 minute walk.
Brisa Sol we would say is a good 3* hotel as there are extra charges for sauna, gym, Jacuzzi and tennis don't really think it's worthy of 4*. The Riviera Patisserie next door is a must with excellent food and fantastic choice of cakes you won’t be disappointed.
In all a good Holiday had fantastic weather good, accommodation, walking distance to most places and would stay at Brisa Sol again.
