DREADFUL...that is about all we can say, Sissi itself is absolutely glorious, the hotel complex looked very nice. but the Reception staff and Manager/Owner of this establishment were very hostile.
We were taken initially across a building site and shown into a hovel! sawn off pipes coming out of walls, stench rooms, electric lighting wires hanging down with bare bulbs, the restaurant was large and airy, airy being the operative word, there were lovely double glazed units in place supported by lumps of wood with 2 to 3 inch gaps under each unit!
the food was plentiful and to be fair ok, mostly pork but lovely salad bar and gorgeous bread, we never went hungry and there was plenty of it, the waiting staff were lovely, plentiful amounts of wine, couldn’t fault it. the all inclusive drinks were very limited to local wines and beers and soft drinks only from 11am and stopped bang on 11pm, even though we were half way through ordering a round of drinks the bar maid wanted to charge us for drinks issued after 11pm cut off line on the SAME order!!!
We complained along with 5 other couples about the state of the accommodation to Debbie the Med Hotels Rep who was well used to this, apparently it happens every change over! and she was brilliant and got us moved to a fantastic family run hotel two down from the Sun Village, everything was PERFECT there, so if your going to Sissi check out the Alexadrous!

I was very impressed with Sun village.
The food was excellent, Cretan cuisine, which was what I wanted. Staff very helpful. the location was superb. set in very attractive gardens and lovely clean pool. The rooms were on the small side and clean towels not provided every day were the only downside.
Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend it and I would stay there again.

Before the holiday I had red a lot of comments, which were not so nice about Sun Village Apartments. After spending a wonderful week in a very hospital and nice Sun Village, I must say that I don’t understand why some people have complained so much about this place.
The food was very good and various the whole week. I don’t see it negative if I travel to Greece that I get Greek food every day. That is just how it suppose to be. The Drinks were also okay, the only drink I didn’t like so much was the local red wine.
The Hotel was clean and nice. The Pool area was also very nice. The Stuff was friendly and helpful. I certainly can recommend this Hotel to anybody who looks forward to have a nice holiday in Crete. I look forward to go there back someday.

First of all I was a bit worried about going here because of a couple of bad reports I had read on it.
It is very clean and all of the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help. (Especially Spiros and Dimitrios) The pool is clean and looks onto the sea. the views are all lovely, whichever part you stay in.
The only down side is the lack for choice of food. All the meals were nice but there isn’t a range of things you can choose from. On a morning, you can get toast or cereal or pate. If you want an English breakfast, you have to pay 4 euros. The taverna 30 seconds down the road "The Sissi Arms" sells one for 1.50. Also, the only drinks you can get that are included in the all inclusive is:
*Local beer
*Wine
*Ouzo
*Raki
*soft drinks
So, really, there was nothing for older teenagers like Alco pops or anything like that.
Spite this, I had a really nice holiday and would go there again.

This hotel was listed as a 4* when I booked, when we complained to the rep she said it was a Bronze A/I, you could have Beer Saki or Yaki, if you wanted a Breakfast you had to pay for it, you had no choice of meals pork, pork & more pork iv been going A/I for 20years and this was the PITS, Don’t even go there the garbage lorry don’t go there its all recycled the next day and watch the car hire geezer he picks a fight once a week usually with the oldest one there you will soon find the Sissi Arms a good breakfast for 4uroes & its British.

Like all of you I was concerned on going here, where is Sissi? My family and I have just returned from Sun Village and if you want a holiday where you can enjoy the comforts of Greece this is the place for you.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. Being all inclusive and going to Spain last year I expected there to be loads of different types of local drink free but the only drinks free are Ouzo, Araki, red & white wine, coffee & tea. The food was all in a Greek flavour; this is what I was looking for.
Within 10 mins walk there is the pretty harbour of Sissi. We made a lot of friends in the week we were there and I would recommend this hotel to anybody who wanted a Greek holiday.

The location of the hotel was excellent and very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were a bit disappointing; there could have been more choice on the menu and also a menu for the children. We thought that Metaxa would have been one of the local spirits, which it wasn’t. We also thought that there would have been more entertainment on at night that was a bit disappointing.

In the middle of nowhere and very secluded.
A quick clean everyday not clean towels everyday would not give you clean towels even when requested.
Food was not varied. Everything tasted bland and had the same smell (which wasn’t nice). For an all inclusive hotel this was not at all up to standard.
Public transport was not very good.
Entertainment at resort was not good.
At certain times you weren’t allowed to put sun umbrellas up, even over young children.
There were not many facilities for anyone of any age.
The scenery was lovely and the village was nice

Worst holiday we’ve ever had in our lives. Wanted to come home after 3 hours of being there!!!!! Don’t waste your money!!!
Yourholidays deceived us and medhotels wouldn’t help us. Stuck in the middle of no where with the worst hotel staff ever known! Will never ever go to Greece again.
