Although this hotel is in a residential area, it is on a noisy road. It was like trying to sleep on a motorway with the windows open.
The food was not good unless you like veal all the time!!
On the plus side - it was very near the centre and basically clean.

This is one of the cheapest hotels that we found in Sorrento, but its main points are that its very central, very clean and very good staff.
Although the road at the side of the hotel gets very busy in the evenings, we had air conditioning (extra charge) and had peaceful nights. The hotel is situated approx 7 mins from the main square and the walk is all on the level. The hotel was spotless and the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Meals: Breakfast - buffet, very nice- usual things; meats, cheeses, eggs, rolls, cakes, pastries, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee. Evening meal; 4 course and huge portions. All of our party (3) are vegetarians and found the food lovely and not repetitive.
No pool, but roof terrace with lots of sunbeds and chairs and great views.

Very well situated away from the main streets of Sorrento but only 5-10 minutes walk from the centre.
Rooms were simply furnished and very clean. Food was excellent, plenty of it, good choice on the menu. Staff very helpful and friendly. Could not fault it really - very good value for money!

Just got back from Meridiana after a weeks holiday. Was a bit apprehensive of the hotel as it way cheaper than most others in the area. Though after a weeks break at the hotel I couldn't fault it. OK it doesn't have a pool, which may put some people off, but generally there is so much to see and do around the place that you rarely spend time there anyway.
As far as the food and friendliness of the staff goes, they were superb. The food is second to none and the staff will do all they can to help you. I didn't notice the traffic was anywhere as busy as the main street, maybe we were lucky!
I would go back to the hotel, no problem.
