We have just had 2 weeks at the Grand Parediso hotel, they where the best 2 weeks hols we have had, the staff at the hotel couldnot be more helpful if they tried, the whole 2wks we didnot have the same food on the menue We are definatly going to go back. The hotel is clean and well kept if we whent out on a day trip and we would not be back for dinner the staff made sure that we had a packed lunch to keep us going as we always stopped some where for the meal at tea. Although this was our first trip to italy we where made very welcome by every one at the hotel.

This hotel is situated high on one of the cliffs that makes the Sorrentine Peninsula so amazing! If you request a room with a view you can see all the Bay of Naples.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager Bruno helps arrange the bus to the coach when you go on an excursion and when you need to get back to the airport.
There is air conditioning in the room and the rooms are cleaned daily. The food is lovely and there is a good choice for the meals. The waiters are very polite and funny. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento its gorgeous - I would definitely go back again.

This hotel is set high up on a cliff and has an unrestricted view over the bay of Naples. A mostly overloaded courtesy bus runs several times a day to and from Sorrento.
The hotel was very clean, efficiently run and staff were very friendly.
The food was good, with a varied choice of menu. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms despite being listed as an amenity, which meant leaving the door open during the night. The consequences of that were a restless night and lots of mosquito bites.
The sights were well worth the visits, but do them on your own - they are easy to reach due to buses, trains and boats that run every 20 - 30 mins and cost 1/2 the price of the tour operators.
Pompeii is vast and interesting, but Herculaneum is more manageable and better preserved. We visited Amalfi and Capri by boat, which were both very pretty. Most walking is uphill. This is a superb sightseeing holiday, but definitely not one for beach babes!
