Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort Sharm El Sheikh Reviews
We returned from our sixth trip to this hotel a week ago and as far as we are concerned this hotel is fantastic we have yet to find any fault whatsoever. The staff cannot do enough for you. Valeria and Mohammed on the front desk are wonderful and extremely helpful, Yousra greets everyone into the Coast Restaurant with a lovely friendly smile and takes a genuine interest in people. Ahmed and Ahmed along with all the other waiters in the Coast Restaurant are superb and Sherif makes the most wonderful omelettes. Saad in Zinizini is always helpful, Adam who works for the Royal Spa is very courteous and will NOT hassle people who do not want him to. Whilst we were there it was holiday time for a lot of Arabs, but whilst the restaurants were busy the beaches were very quiet and we did not find this a problem at all, in fact it was lovely to chat with people from different cultures. All in all we are looking forward to returning to the Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort in November and seeing everyone we feel its our second home now.

RATHER THAN DUPLICATE, I'M POSTING A RETURN E-MAIL AFTER STAYING THERE FOR TWO WEEKS, RETURNING THIS MORNING.
Dear Mr Hisham El Demery. Thank you so much for your E-Mail. On behalf of my wife and I , I would like to thank you and your staff for giving us a most wonderful holiday. We were re-located to room 8601, after our first room suffered a leaking ceiling. It exceeded all our expectations, giving us arguably one of the best views in the resort and was without fault from re-allocation to departure. The Hotel proved a great location geographically and the facilities it provided were excellent. The food, was , without doubt, the best we experienced throughout the whole resort , especially "Acapulco-Joe's" and the "Sports-Bar" But no less of a treat was the daily Breakfast we enjoyed. High praise must be given to the exemplorary manner your staff treated us to during our stay with you, But special commendation must be made of the following ,especially Islam, who served us at the "Aqua-Bar" who's attention to detail , quality of service delivery and consistancy were 1st-class ! Nour, our room attendant, made every evening a delight with his artistic and decorative skills , as well as keeping our room immaculate , and last, but by no means least, Yousra, who worked "front-Of-House" and greated us every morning with a wonderful smile and charming inter-personal skills . All the staff we encountered strove hard to provide, and achieve a 1st-class experience for us and were a credit to your Hotel. Over all Mr El Demery, outstanding quality throughout giving us one of the best vacations we have ever had, ( And having stayed a numerous 5* Hotels before, we appreciated the extra efforts You and your staff made on our behalf. I have no hesitation in recommending your Hotel, and look forward to visiting you again in the very near future. If I may make one final commendation, that would be to praise Rami, our Thompson Representative at the Renaissance Hotel, We found his Professionalism , courtecy and integrity to be superb throughout ! A credit to his company ,the Hotel and to the resort of Sharm-El-Sheikh.
Yours Sincerly
Keith Neil Pearson.

Family with teenage son just returned from 2 week holiday, booked B&B from UK and upgraded to half board on arrival, family suite on beach front was peaceful and very tastefully decorated. King size bed large marble bathroom, kitchen with lfridge freezer, excellent air con as temp outside 45 degrees. This was our third visit here and it is as reliable as ever, staff polite & nothing is too much trouble. Mohammed in the dinning room is very thoughtful and arranged flowers & cake for hubbys birthday one evening, thankyou to Mamood also and Mohammed in leisure dept. The resort is tranquil calming with very little going on in entertainment which allows complete relaxation. The jetty is perfect, fish in abundace, it is such a shame that several rude tourists choose to ignore the warning about walking on & damaging the coral, how selfish & those who feed the fish bread ( as if it grows in the sea) went on boat trip with dive in on site company which was better than we remembered, due back in November. If you want a quiet hotel without yobs & children running riot then visit here and have a slice of heaven but please respect the beauty of the red sea.

As a young couple we stayed at this hotel and I have never had a better holiday. We made friends with all the local staff (pool attendants, gym people and mainly the Zinzina staff)The resort food is more expensive than outside but worth it! If you dont want to go outside the hotel there is no need everything is on your doorstep, Reception are also amazing. Few tips:
Ask for Ahmed to serve you in Zinzina (sports bar) He is fantastic!
DONT get water from the hotel they charge 12 egyption pounds, walk 10 minutes down the road same side, miss the first shop go to the second, he became a very good friend of ours and charged us 3 Egyption pounds for litre bottles of water which worked out about 30p ENGLISH.
Do not buy anything on the market until you have knocked them down at least 50 percent
Check everywhere you eat, as some places included TIPS, some dont!
We flew about a week before the volcanic ash, got stranded, and as we flew with Thomson they paid for everything, our hotel, upgraded our board.
This hotel is fantastic, but not if you have kids!!
- Advice: This is the best holiday I have ever had and i travel a bit! Not great for kids which suited us!!!!

We stayed in what they call a 'sea front family suite' on a B&B basis close to the main building of the resort. Getting the room was not easy and we actually ended up with 4 different room numbers and spent many hours sorting the problem out. In return we did get free internet, a free buffet lunch and all our room service charges wiped. Room service (in the room and on the beach) provided a very affordable option for us and the shop in the main building was good, as it sold drinks, which is not always the way in Sharm. The rooms were beautiful and the resort was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and did not bother us at all. The beach was peaceful and the snorkelling ok, but most of the coral appeared to be dead. The redeeming factor was that the area attracted not only the types of fish you would expect to see, but also many sharks, barracuda and dolphins. The resort seemed to have a small problem with lizards (cute) and biting insects (not so cute), but I appeared to be the only one to get insect bites. The food was good and we seemed to get slightly upset stomachs only on days when we had accidentally swallowed sea water. The resort seemed more popular with Arab rather than Russian guests. I was sorry to leave and we have booked to go again this year, but this time with my partner as the lead guest, as the staff did not seem to take women travellers seriously at all.

I went to Egypt for the first time with my mum and dad and it was the best hotel!! There is only a couple of down parts.. the spare bed for me was not made up in the hotel and we arrived at night so we had to wait for my bed to be made up and one other thing my mum fell over at one of the swimming pools and there was workers around but no one came over to cheak to see if she was ok. she did get a big brooze from it soo watch out around the pool areas. The hotel doesnt really have any more faults. There are lots of swimming pools around all the apartment rooms. (its like a little village) the hotel goes right out onto the sea front and you have a private beach. you can also do diving and go on boat drips with the hotel. you can dive of the private jetty with a diving instuctor into the red sea is amazing whats underthere. I wouldnt miss out on the boat trips, you jump of and go snorkeling or you can just sit on the boat and relax you also get your lunch on the boat. One AMAZING holiday it was soo good we are going back this year in may! i would say its perfect for any sort of familys apart from old people that cant really walk up stairs because there is alot of steps to get to many resepstio. I Hope this review helps you decide if you wish to go on the holiday or not.

EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!!!!!!!! have been to egypt a few times now and this was my most enjoyable stay by far, this hotel was perfect in every way, could not complain about anything at all. staff were friendly but in a professional way without hanging round staring and bugging you, food was lovely with no sickness which was a first time for me in egypt as usually get sick there. food wasnt anymore expensive than anywhere else in naama bay. will definitely be back god willing...
- Advice: the diving is not to be missed
- Activities: hard rock cafe, kfc, fish resturants in old town

My husband & I went for 3 nights in Dec. Temperature was more like 30 degrees celcius. Two main pools very cold but the one beside Alcapulco Joe's was heated and more suited to families with young children. The sea was warm but had a lot of waves which when walking over the pontoon made us quite sea sick. Views are amaizing. Beautiful hotel setting with gardens and quite a lot of steps to walk up and down. I am not the fittest of people but managed ok. There is a private beach next to hotel just past the monument. Charges 50LE each per day and they give you a towel and bottle of water. At this beach there is a fixed jetty with proper steps to climb into the water. Coral and Fish were great. You could even walk into the sea and stand on sand instead. Renaissance Golden View breakfast was varied and had a great choice as long as you went early to beat the crowds. We ate at Alcapulco Joe's twice as I fell in love with their Tequila Bread Pudding. Just watch out of the sand flies as they bit me on the first night there and my feet and ankles were a mess as were a few other residents. Waiters and staff very friendly. We were upgraded to a 1 Bedroomed Suite with kitchen and lounge/dining area. Huge rooms. Taxi drivers are lunatics. Went into Naama Bay for dinner one night. You do get harrassed to buy things but just keep walking. Food prices a lot cheaper than at the hotel but a lot more going on, not as relaxed as back at the hotel.

Hotel very nice, clean and staff very helpful, rooms cleaned daily and well maintained,4 pools only one heated that is on the lower part of grounds to hotel, drinks expensive,as we went B&B can only rate breakfast which had a good selection of food, not alot to do in the eveing at the hotel, there is a tourist section of shops in the hotel,if you go to the right when leaving the hotel you can walk to Hassle Alley which has all the local tourist shops etc, by the end of your stroll down this (am i in Blackpool street!!!)you will of wished you had made a bill board to wear saying Yes i do come from england( or where ever,)and no i dont want to look in your shop, thankyou for asking.
Fantasia situated on left hand side of road on walk to shops is not a place i myself would reccommend, the light show is a fast, just men rideing horses round and round a set,as for lights,i have more in my front room, one concern is having photo taken with a worker there, females on your own dont stand in front of them, infact refuse to have pic done "bewarned"i made that mistake.Other than that great time had,OLD MARKET,great but barter well and they will sell cheap.

I loved every minute of my stay here!
it was all great,
the staff are lovely, the food is also really nice and the atmosphere makes the stay even more enjoyable...
and if you read the massage menu before purchasing it the price is in euros per hour!!
I would definately recomend this hotel, for an unforgettable holiday!
the staff are also great and very friendly, especially fatma and the ladies at breakfast and khaled and ashraf and the guys in acapulco joe's.
they are all attentive and more than happy to help.
There is a wide choice of food available on the premisis and a town just a short walk away, i would also definately recomend a visit to the old market that is only a short taxi ride away, it may be a little traumatic but is essential for getting a taste of the culture..
I would also highly recomend the hotels own excurtion organiser as the trips are very enjoyable and at a good price, the bedoin entertainment and camel ride as well as the diving trips are brilliant and a must do .. the on site diving school is also a big plus, and the sites just off the jetty on the hotel beach are brilliant.

couple early 40's just returned from11 night holiday, booked B&B from UK and upgraded to half board on arrival, where Mohammed on reception is very professional and welcoming. We stayed in a family suite on the beach front which was peaceful and very tastefully decorated. King size bed, beautiful soft linen, housekeeping immaculate, large marble bathroom with separate shower & complimentary toiletries, kitchen with fridge freezer, kettle provided upon request along with ironing board, excellent air con, fabulous views out to sea. The grounds are constantly being tended to and are pristine, no bugs to be seen in all of our visits. This was our 4th visit here and it is as reliable as ever, staff polite & nothing is too much trouble. A very special thanks to all the staff in the coast resturaunt, particularly Mohammed El Nagdy & Ahmed Alessio who are genuinely delightful and so attentive. The chefs within coast should be very proud as there food is varied, flavoured, hot and plentiful, particularly thanks to Faisel & Ehab. The resort is tranquil & calming, no hassle, towels placed on very comfortable sunbeds by the leisure attendant in the area you choose even ice cold face cloths & the cleaning of sunglasses. Sunbeds & parasols are plentiful. There is very little going on in entertainment which allows complete relaxation. The jetty is perfect, fish in abundace, it is such a shame that several rude tourists choose to ignore the warning about walking on & damaging the coral, how selfish & those who feed the fish bread ( as if it grows in the sea). There are shops nearby although there really is no need to leave the hotel, we visited Tiran island & Ras Mohammed to snorkel via the on site tour company and both trips were amazing. If you want a quiet hotel without yobs & children running riot then visit here and have a slice of heaven but please respect the beauty of the red sea. We are already counting down for our return in March 2012. Thankyou to you all at the Renaissance
