My husband and I have just returned from Eden Rock Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and must say it was a really superb 2 weeks... the staff at the hotel were so friendly and being a small hotel by the end of the 2 weeks were like old friends! Much prefer the smaller hotels than... more

Just recently returned from staying at the Eden Rock Hotel and wanted to share our thoughts. Never posted a review before but read plenty so thought time to return the favours !!. Having been to Hurghada recently and stayed in a big 5 star all inclusive resort in the middle of nowhere, we wanted a smaller hotel centrally located and spent a fair amount of time researching before we booked it. Lovely Hotel - Perfect Location

My friend and myself booked a cheap holiday here for a week in October. Given the price that we paid we were extremely pleased with the hotel as a whole. The location was perfect for both the beach and all the restaurants. It is also close to the airport (the planes fly over the hotel but didn’t bother us at all) so the transfer is very short. Eden Rock has a shared private beach that is at the bottom of the steps (all 115 of them!) which is perfect for snorkelling and sunbathing. The steps were a bit of a pain but were worth...

This was a brilliant hotel in the most amazing location - wonderful views of the whole of Naama Bay, the downtown and the sea from the swimming pool and your balcony if you have a poolview room. Even the restaurant has these fab views. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, good varied food, efficient and with all the amenities - we even booked a massage for a reasonable price. We stayed in the hotel for 7 Nights in Jan 2007. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff when we first arrived. The food in the morning was fresh and appealing witha varied selection of everything on offer. My recommendations is the Ommletts made to order. The staff were extreamly friendly and bend over backwards to help you out. The Hotel is just on edge of the centre approx a 3 min walk to the main hub. Our stay at Eden Rock was excellent. We cannot praise the staff of this Hotel enough. We were made to feel very welcome - the friendly atmosphere generated by the staff made our stay a relaxing home from home experience. The Eden Rock is an oasis of calm in a somewhat frenetic resort. It's location is superb - on the edge of Naama Bay - and the views are second to none. The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional Egyptian style, with tasteful wooden carvings on the furniture and doors. They are also immaculate. The cleaner comes in everyday (also to provide the towel decorations). There are steep steps leading from the town to the hotel, but they're not that bad. myself and my boyfriend just returned from a wk at the red rock in sharm.the hotel was so small and welcoming it was like being a visator in a friends home! few problems , the hotel had only 4 other guests so it was ghoastly quite, not to mention the amount of staff standing around and that got to be quite annoying as i understand they wanted to be friendly but it became a nightmare to eat at night as half the staff stood around our table and chatted endlessly to us.We stayed half board and the first two days we had a nice buffet every...

first trip to sharm, very impressed with eden rock hotel, great location just 2 mins walk to dive boat jetty and 5 mins from the centre, meals were buffet style and of excellent standard, superb views overlooking naama bay, hotel staff very friendly and helpfull, the only down side was the steps at the rear of the hotel, going down to the beach and main road, 115 in all, great place to stay, will be using the hotel again next year,

We stayed at Eden Rock last February and are returning next month. Its a lovely hotel situated on the edge of Naama bay, overlooking the sea. The staff are very helpful, nothing is to much for them, thay also remember what you drink and bring it to you when visiting the resturant, each day. The only complaint is the pool is freezing, its not heated, but there is always a sunlounger to be found. The hotel is situated up a number of steps up the rock face, so would not be any good to anyone with mobility problems, but great for getting that...
