Metropolitan Palace Hotel

I had read a few bad reviews about the hotel so once we got there we were both pleased.
The hotel is huge, there are lots of different eating outlets, and the summer palace and the rattlesnake are both excellent.
The rooms are lovely, big enough and very clean, TV reception is good, and the bathrooms have both a shower and a bath. There is a mini bar but the prices are crazy and the drinks and snacks can be bought at the local supermarket in the shopping centre for much much less.
The breakfast buffet is good, lots of choice each morning (although the same each day ) cereals, toast, fruit and even sausage and bacon were on offer ... The foods was all very nice and you can also have eggs cooked how you like them.
The pool is nice and big although we spent most of our time at the beach resort which has a lovely pool and beach.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful through out our stay ( we stayed for 8 nights )
Wild wadis Water Park is a must - about £20 per person per day and worth every penny - lots of fun for adults as well as children. The zoo is nice, small and not to flash but nice and at £0.50p each to get in worth a look.
Taxi’s to the beach and shopping centres are only about £4-5 but the hotel does provide a free buss throughout the day to the beach resort and the shopping centres ( and back )
I would definitely go back to this hotel if I visited again, its not one of the most flash hotels in Dubai ( if it was anywhere else but Dubai it would be one of the best in the area ) but it is a very nice 4* - 5* and excellent value for money
