Le Meridien Dubai

Le Meridien, close to the Airport, was an excellent choice for a break in Dubai. There was no aspect of the hotel we could criticise, or even find the slightest fault with.! For us, the very best things about the hotel were the excellent staff - not only cheerful and courteous but also very professional - and the location of the hotel and Le Meridien village, situated away from the bustle and building works that seemed to be going on everywhere else.

Was surprised at previous gushing review!. This is an average 5 star hotel that is just 3 min away from the air-port -- in fact we could have easily walked here from our flight, but the hotel provides complimentary pick-up. Standard room was looking tired with poor work-man ship. Bathroom wasnt anything special and the bidet was leaking even though I didnt use it. We stayed here for a week during March, while we were working there. During our time in Dubai, we visited a lot of other hotels and Le Meridien was one of the best hotels we saw. Le Meridien is a business hotel and was so quiet and peaceful, not many children, they seem to stay at the larger hotels down by the beach. We had no problems with drunken people, and you couldn't keep your sunbed by the pool, once you moved off the beds the lifeguard would remove the towels and replace them with fresh ones. We just came back from Dubai in which we celebrated our twenty five years wedding anniversary. We spent five days in Le Meridien Airport. It is a fantastic hotel. We were treated like royalty. The staff are excellent, they all courteous, polite, truly fantastic! The service cannot be faulted. We stayed at this hotel from 15th to 18th March. We were impressed by the facilities offered by the Royal Club package and would probably use the hotel again. We used the pools and other facilities early morning and thus avoided any of the congestion that can occurr. The Meridien Village was an enjoyable (though sometimes expensive)dining experience (best value by far was the Irish Bar - Dubliners). I read most of the reviews before I went to get a feel for what to expect. We could not fault the place - especially the staff. We arrived very early in the morning (off a 15 hours flight) not expecting a room to be ready - but the staff went out of their way to get one for us quickly - offering us a free breakfast while we waited and then sending a bottle of wine to our room as a gift for waiting patiently. I have just returned from a business trip to Dubai staying at the Meridien, conveniently situated by the airport. This is a five star hotel with a few problems. I had booked on line via Expedia and on arrival was disappointed with the room, in particular the bathroom which was ridiculously small, dark and in desperate need of refurbishment. We stayed at Le Meridien and could not fault the hotel. The staff were very attentive,polite and friendly, the hotel spotlessly clean. Location to us was perfect - not in the middle of the mass of construction. My 7 year old daughter loved the 3 pools at the hotel & they fully compensated for no sea! I have just returned from a five night stay in Dubai, and would definately recommend the Le Meridien Dubai, despite being literally 2 min taxi ride from the airport, the hotel is nothing like an airport hotel. It has 14 restaurants, an irish bar, and a club/bar with live music. Also two pools (and they are planning another one), and the main pool has a swim up bar. (lovely!) For my 21 anniversary my husband booked us into Le Meridien Dubai, as a surprise. We stayed for 4 nights. I am well travelled, and I can safely recommend this Hotel. We were treated excellently by all staff members who ensured our comfort transport to and from the Airport only 3 minutes away. At night the hotel provided live music in the huge marbel lounge with a wide choice of various music sounds and eating establishments wrapped around the Hotel.
