Hilton Dubai Creek Hotel

We had done a great deal of research on this hotel and we were not disappointed. The location is beside the Creek, which is well away from all of the building sites which are going on in Dubai at the moment.
The rooms are lovely, with fantastic views of the Creek. The staff are very helpful, especially the Concierge. The food and drinks are very pricey. We got caught out the very first morning as we thought we had booked bed and breakfast, but we had only booked bed. We only fancied coffee and cereal which we had. When we came to leave the restaurant we had to "sign" for it and then we realised we had charge it to our room (AED 130 which is about £20), which is when we found out we had to pay for it. Just a word of warning!
The gym is very good, small but lots of equipment in. the roof top pool is small, but perfectly adequate and the staff in both are very helpful.
If you are planning any trips don't use something different.com which the local operator is Planet Tours. They messed us about telling us different pick up times, and then when we phoned to confirm our second tour they said they could not find our booking, so we booked through the hotel and then an hour before we received a fax from planet Tours confirming our booking.
Would recommend the Desert Safari, it is awesome, be careful if you are prone to travel sickness as the jeeps do throw you around a bit.
You can get a free shuttle bus to the sister hotel at Jumeirah Beach, which is well worth it for the day.
We can't wait for our next trip out there!
