Mythos Apartments Reviews
" Mythos apartment kos. "
Submitted By: children4The apartments were great we had a large double room at the end with a nice size bathroom with over the bath shower...thee only thing i wasn't to keen on was the childrens bunk beds were slap bang in the courner of the kitchen next to our table and chairs, so not much room in the kitchen area..also we had no window in the kitchen so it was alittle dark at times. The cleaners always made a fuss of the kiddies and so did the bar staff..the food and drink at thee apt's were excellent as the front of thee apt's had it's on resterant so we didn't really have to go to far....
My parents room however was great they had 2 bedrooms separate to there kitchen one double and one twin with single beds and yes very bright with a window in there kitchen.... a good size bathroom and kitchen also,i think my parents room should of been ours ha ha joking aside the holiday was excellent and we all would return again without a doubt the only thing is were expecting baby number 5 in july so i dont think we'll all fit in!!!!
The mythos apt's were alround fantasic and well worth what we all payed Superb!!!!!
WE ALL HOPE TO RETURN AGAIN SOON MANY THANKS THE EDWARDS BROOD!!!!

" Mythos apartments are ideally located... "
Submitted By: Ms D EmmettI found the staff at Mythos courteous and helpful rather than friendly, as other reviewers have said. Great holiday overall, you can go on loads of trips and Kos Town is just a short bus ride away, the scenery and beach are fabulous, and the locals are lovely. I can't wait to go back.

" Fantastic complex, ideal for people... "
Submitted By: Mrs Lj MatthewsThe restaurant on site is fab, great food and reduction for complex guests. lovely patio area around the pool, which can get a bit busy during school holidays with kids, but would not let that put you off.
A couple minutes walk to the fab beach, has a constant breeze which is great on those hot days. the views from the beach is stunning, overlooks Turkey and look towards the town and you get views of the town and the mountains.
Ideal resort to get into Kos Town, buses run throughout the day approx 1.5euros each way or 12 Euros in a taxi. the harbour in Kos Town is big and the sunsets are amazing -well worth a visit early evening.
Loads of excursions from Tingaki- boat trips, Turkey, Island Tour etc all good value for money.
Really clean accommodation, great staff - family run, would def go back again !!

" We 1st visited the Mythos apartments... "
Submitted By: Miss G TemplarMy partner and I had such a fantastic time, we returned in May 2006 and are on our way back with 8 members of our family and friends in May 2007. Sound a bit boring?
My partner is self-employed so we only get 1 week’s holiday, we just know our week at the Mythos will be enjoyable and relaxing.
I too cannot praise George and his staff enough, and all of the bars and restaurants close by are fantastic. It really is a fantastic resort and am now getting excited about my 3rd trip back! - The extension sounds interesting.
I would recommend using the travel shop opposite the apartments as they are by far cheaper than the tour operators and just as well organised.
Hiring a quad from Nikos is also reasonable and really enjoyable - I think last year we toured the whole island on a quad bike - gives a fantastic insight to the island and a great tan!
Just as someone else has mentioned - if you are thinking about booking STOP hesitating and DO IT!

Tingaki is the perfect resort for all families, the beach is so near and the water warm and clear. Donuts and fresh fruit daily from the locals.
The choice of food is excellent, you've no need to go elsewhere.

" A fabulous holiday we had staying at... "
Submitted By: alandoBack to the apartments one drawback was the very meagre self catering facilities, ie-No toasters or micros just a hob which took an age for warming up, but then you don’t need to cook when you’ve got the great restaurant attached to your complex which seems to attract tourists from everywhere to come and eat in the evenings. Freshly cooked and served with smiling faces, a great atmosphere and great tasting variety of foods. A maid service cleans your rooms six times a week with fresh bed linen twice.
A reasonable sized pool with around 50 sun beds and a kiddies pool. A bar which serves snacks through the day is also available to you. The apartments are on a main street with many shops of all types and also several supermarkets. George has had a new extension built which should open in the 2007 season which will sleep parties of six where also there will be a gym and Jacuzzi, he's also planning to widen the pool and have a separate kiddies pool with more room for everything.
We visited Kos town while we were there, looking around the old ruins (castle) hypocrites tree, and museum and harbour, a good day out. I for one would highly recommend this place to stay for a great holiday and enjoyable experience, and on the day of our departure I asked a few of the new arrivals had they been here before in which they had which I can I say I will be doing for certain next year.

Submitted By: Mr S McleodStaff are great and your in for a treat will Bill (yeah I know not very Greek, but he's Canadian born Greek!) the barman - just don’t let him sign! Pool is cleaned every night, food is amazing at the restaurant and the snack bar is good too.
Place is spotless, views are great and you can go anywhere from Tingaki - we went to Nisyross and Rhodes - easily done from the street vendors and cheaper than the tour rep prices!
Self Catering - place is so good we eat out every night (and breakfast and lunch!) food is great and very cheap. Do yourself a favor and go! I'd go back in a sec! 10 outta 10
P.S the bugs either like you or they don’t :))))

Submitted By: Mr J DaviesThe road leads down to the beach, where there is a mini roundabout, left of these is a few more bars and restaurants close to the beach. right is a long walk past accommodation, a few bars and restaurants, towards Kos Town. It’s a very long road, but Mythos Apartments is near the beach end, about 2 minutes away, and you only have to cross one road to get to the beach.
At the other end of the main road is a fairly large supermarket. It is worth walking from the top of the road to the beach even though it’s a long way as you’ll be able to see what is there, I would suggest doing this as early into the holiday as possible, the beach is very sandy and the sea is quite shallow for a long way out so that’s good for children.
Excursions are cheaper from main road vendors, all the excursions we went on were good, the island is small so you can get to see most of it on one or two excursions. Greek night at Zia was a good excursion, and the trip round half-a-dozen island villages was also good. You can see Turkey from Tingaki, you can get a boat over to Bodrum, or the island of Kalymnos which was good although the meal we had over there was the worst of the holiday.
The apartments were clean the pool was good, there was a bar with snacks near the pool and a restaurant behind this. The staff were friendly. It seemed to be mainly British people that stayed at the apartments.
Probably the best place I have been. Just a shame about the night flights from the UK. The airport is tiny and a bit of a pain.

We ate every evening in the Taverna attached to the Appartments Vassilis the food and service was the best i have ever had.
I would recomend going half board as there is no time restrictions.
The only thing i would avoid next time is booking trips through the rep's as they are well over priced and there is plenty off booking agency along the main road.
Advice: Tingaki is a brilliant town, we have already booked again for this year.
Activities: Vassilis is the best taverna in town
Good for: Beach
