this place was absolutely amazing!
the hotel takes your breath away from the moment you walk into the lobby.
ALL the staff are really polite and helpful, always sayin hello and checking everythings
ok for you.
the rooms are lovely, lots of space and really clean.
the bars and resterants serve really good food, some of the beach bars it can get a bit
samey during the day but you dont have to go far to get something different.
the water park is right next door and theres plenty of other hotels and places to go
for a drink, something to eat or a wander round.
plenty of sunbeds by the pools and plenty of pools to chose from!
all in all 5 star and i'd definately go back!

Have been to the hotel for the last 7 years, but has lost its shine. Physical aspects of the hotel remain outstanding due to the refurbishment and location next to Wild Wadi is unrivalled for families - however, service standards have fallen (3/4 star service for 5 star prices). Pre booked car for arrival was an hour late - when it did arrive, it didn't have baby seats. Music from parties at the bar at the marina could be heard in the kids bedrooms (on the 17th floor) until 3/4 am. Don't want to bore with the long list of gripes - dont get me wrong, still a good holiday location, but no longer a prestige location. Have since been to Raffles Dubai - location is not great for families, but for couples that has got to be the preferred location.

For me, this is one of the best hotels in the world. It has unlimited services and facilities. I arrived early, while my hubby was travelling from Kuwait. They even have a room and a meal for people that arrive before check it. There I was entertained by belly dancers and lovely food.
I absolutely loved the room with massive windows, great decoration, and the best bed ever. Every room in the hotel faces the sea and Burj Al Arab hotel. As the weather in Dubai is always sunny, it's just a beautiful view.
Breakfast buffet has numbers of corners: of different breakfast, Arabic, European, healthy options, etc. It's indeed hard to stick to any diet!
In total there are 7 restaurants, mostly with live entertainment. There are also a number of luxurious shops. Some restaurants are outside, and a sea food restaurant is built on the sea!
There are at least 4 different pools, surrounded by beautiful palms, flowers, and Arabic tents. It's just an amazing atmosphere to be in.
Beach is supervised by helpful guards. Everyone feels safe. Hotel is very child friendly. They have a range of full time activities for children.
Room service couldn't be better. They even come to prepare your bed for sleep. From the towels, they make up animals, such as ducks or rabbits. Your laundry is folded in the basket, including the aroma pockets.
The only downside is that because everything is so supervised, you get to ask lots of questions even when going to the lift late in the evening. I understand they don't like escort girls or uninvited guests, but sometimes it would get annoying. Once we were waiting for the lift with my hubby, and the security guys asked my husband for our room number and whether I'm his wife. He sounded quite harsh, I wouldn't mind if he was polite, but he wasn't. We paid a minimum of £300 a night and for me it's important to be treated well for such a price!
Regardless to this incident, it's the best hotel for me.

This has got to be one of the best hotels in the world! Just returned today and hoping to book to go back asap.
The hotel grounds are amazing and had an excellent view of the Burj Al Arab from our balcony. Free access to wild wadi water park (which is right next door) throughout the holiday, the hotel had 5 swimming pools and 21 restaurants, private beach, water sports, spa and gym, everything you could imagine really.
The room was huge with all sorts of complimentary toiletries, nice little touches such as lip balm, body lotion, and sun block. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, and you didn't have to lift a finger.
The breakfast kept us going till dinner time as it was buffet style, spread out over 4 rooms with so much to choose from- English, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, cold meats, fruits, fresh juices and omelette and crepe stations where they were cooked freshly in front of you.
You could spend the entire holiday in the hotel and not be in the same place twice but on the other hand if you prefer being out and about there is loads of things to do in Dubai.
Amazing place can’t wait to go back.

What can one say! Dubai is one of the best holiday resorts in the world. My 4th time to Jumeirah Beach in Dubai. The Jumeirah Beach hotel underwent a huge refurb last year, and even though the hotel is around 10 years old you wouldn’t know it. Its looks superb!
We stayed in the executive rooms so we had breakfast in anyone of the restaurants, cold buffet all day in the executive lounge, pre dinner drinks, happy hour, canapés, internet use, and a huge executive pool.
The rooms are huge and well furnished, fresh fruit every day, free beach bag, toiletries, flip flops etc. Food as usual was superb. A visit to the Argentinean restaurant at the very top of the hotel is a must, the food was out of this world. Breakfast was huge, massive choice of cereals, cooked breakfast, fruits, etc.
You can’t go to the Jumeirah Beach hotel and not visit the Souk in the Madinat Jumeirah. They have lots of lovely shops and restaurants, and another must is eating at the Noodle Bar and the Meat Co-reasonably priced and superb food.
Wild Wadi is fun, fun, fun all with a capital F! It’s free to enter all day every day if our staying at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel-free towels, and you get to enter the park 1 hour early than it opens to the public. Lazy River, Jumeirah Scheirah, etc make the day a huge amount of fun. Food in the park is good and fresh.
The health club, watersports on the beach and spa are all superb and worth going to.
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel staff really want you to have fun and enjoy your stay, they cannot do enough for you. Even lying on the Beach they came round with iced water in a spray and sprayed you down-it’s very hot and sticky in July.
If you get the opportunity to go to Dubai then seize the chance, it’s a beautiful country with beautiful people.
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is gorgeous and won’t be around in 2 years time, in Dubai terms it’s an older hotel and the rooms are small-yet they are huge in English terms, it’s going to be knocked down and replaced. Don’t miss the chance to experience its splendour or the people. You won be disappointed.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The restaurants in this hotel are out of this world.
Recommend going to the Emirate Towers and going to the 51st floor for funky drinks and a great view. Also eat in the restaurant downstairs can’t remember the name, but the lobster is fab!
Skiing is a must at ski Dubai, we just done a beginner course, but it was so much fun, highlight of holiday! You have to go on the jeep trip, they drive you out in the middle of the desert and you have a big bbq buffet, clean toilets (in the desert!), henna painting, camel riding, shisha smoking, a belly dance show, alcohol (wine, fosters), and star gazing, as well as the jeeps going over the dunes. Well worth the money! I have done a lot of jeep trips, but this was the best ever.
If you're a shopaholic, take an empty suitcase, there’s a 3 shuttle bus from this hotel to mall of Emirates!
Building work isn't as bad as it's made out, you do actually forget about it. Beach and sea is great to.
Cannot fault the hotel/holiday at all.
If you’re not in a hurry to go (unlike how I was),wait a couple of years, so much more will be there. Or if you can afford it, go again, as I hope to do!

This is my 4th time to Dubai-3rd time in 3 years. For the last 2 years I stayed in the Mina A Salam.
The Jumeriah Beach Hotel under went a major refurbishment last year and the hotel looks amazing-clean, luxurious, and spacious.
We stayed in the Executive rooms which gave us breakfast in any restaurant, free soft drinks all day, canapés and free drinks prior to dinner and afternoon tea, a buffet was avaiable all day in the executive lounge. The only real food we had to purchase was dinner. With 22 restaurants in the hotel you are spoilt for choice.
We had dinner in the Argentinian restaurant and it was superb. For the other evenings we went to the Madinat Jumeriah next door and ate in the Noodle House, and The Meat Co-my all time favourite, I eat there every time we go to Dubai and booking is a must.
Breakfast in the Beachcomber everyday over looking the beach was also a must, the choice was huge and the food was fresh and quality.
Being in the executive rooms gave us use of the executive pool and a portion of our own beach. The pool is huge, piped music through speakers in the water, lots of jacuzzi areas, pool bar and a lovely view of the sea and Burj Al Arab.
You cant go to Dubai and not visit the Wild Wadi, to people in the Burj, Jumeriah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeriah get free entry, towels, and 1 hour early entry to the park-you can go on all the rides and not have to queue!!!
On our last day we went out on a boat ride from the water sports area, superb!! Well worth the money. The sea is crystal clear and warm.
Would definitely go again and again to Dubai. The whole experience of Dubai is magical. We have taken our little boy for the past 2 years and the kids are well catered for. Plenty of shaded areas and Sinbads kids club is superb.
If you get the chance to go its a must!!!

My friend and I were picked up from our hotel in the afternoon by a spacious GMC Yukon. Our charming safari guide, Mubbashir (nicknamed Muby) entertained us with Dubai facts and trivia while we listened to Abba on the way to the desert, about 45 min away.
Once we reached the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, Mubbashir deflated the tires while we took beautiful panoramic pictures of the desert. We then buckled in for our dune bashing! Mubbashir was a fantastic guide, talking and joking with us while driving over the dunes with skill and what seemed like years of experience.
We were 5 in the car and the family of 3 sharing the car with us were loving it as well. Their 5 year old was shrieking with delight at each turn. After a fun rollercoaster ride over the dunes we made a picture stop and had some soft drinks. More dune bashing ensued and then we stopped at a camel farm where we were able to pet them and I got a great picture holding a baby camel.
20 minutes later we stopped on the dunes to watch the most beautiful sunset. As darkness fell, we were taken to a Bedouin's Arabian camp where all of the staff was so friendly and helpful...offering camel rides, arabic coffee & dates, drinks from the bar (wines, beers and soft drinks) and guiding us to our low style bedouin table.
After delicious arabic starters and BBQ we were treated to a talented belly dancing show. The night ended with all the lights being turned off and we were able to do some stargazing...it was stunning! After such an action packed trip, we were further entertained by the disco music that Mubbashir played on the way back into the city. After he dropped us at our hotel, we decided to go on the Riddle of the Sands tour that Arabian Adventures also offers. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dubai to make their trip complete! And request the safari guide, Mubbashir to make it even better!

Excellent hotel can’t fault anything about it. Room was very comfortable and very large.
We had a balcony and a lovely view of the Burj which changed colour every night beautiful.
Staff are brilliant and very helpful.nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel restaurants are world class.
Private beach where you are looked after with fresh fruit and sprayed with water is bliss...
No need to take beach towels as these are supplied just as sun cream and toiletries are.
Free buses every day to shopping malls or souks, definitely worth a visit.

We flew directly to Dubai from Glasgow with Emirates. The standard of service supplied by this airline is, in my opinion, second to none.
The staff are well presented and treat passengers with respect, a quality that unfortunately I have found lacking in some cabin crew recently.
The meal was excellent with a choice of both starter and main course, and a selection of wine. We arrived in Dubai feeling relaxed.
Unfortunately the queues at the airport quickly spoiled this relaxation, and we had quite a long wait to get through immigration. Once through, taxis were in plentiful supply and we were quickly whisked away to our hotel.
It would be worth mentioning at this point that throughout the holiday we found taxis easy to find and very inexpensive but there is much traffic congestion in Dubai and travelling on the roads is best avoided in the rush hours (4.00pm - 8.00pm).
When we arrived at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel we were again greeted by warm and friendly staff. Checking in was slightly stressful as there was difficulty in gaining preauthorization from our credit card company.
Indeed throughout our stay both my husband and myself had separate incidents where transactions were declined by our card issuers, which I would like to point out was not due to lack of funds!
Top tip - phone your credit card supplier before you go and inform them that you will be in Dubai to avoid this!
The hotel itself is wonderful, the rooms are huge and very well kitted out. They supply you with fruit and bottled water free, the usual shampoo and conditioner but also extras like lip balm and sun tan lotion. I particularly was impressed by the huge fluffy towels that were replaced every time you used one.
Beautiful towels are also supplied at the poolside, where they also bring you ice lollies and even come round to spray you with cool water if it is particularly hot!
We also were impressed by the amount of staff evident around the pool who will bring you bottled water in a large ice bucket so it stays cool all day, for a small charge + tip.
Food and drink is pricey but very good and there are plenty of restaurants to choose.
Our favourite meal was at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant 'Verre' at the Hilton Dubai Creek, which we would recommend for a special treat.
In summary, we feel Dubai is excellent for a winter holiday destination if you are looking for warm sunshine, good food, a good standard of accommodation and to treat yourself. It is not a cheap holiday but sometimes 'you get what you pay for'. We have already booked a return visit!

It's definitely the sign of a good holiday, when you've booked to go back again within a few days of coming home!
The Jumeirah Beach hotel is without doubt the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in. A huge room, with views over the Marina and of the Burj Al Arab, fresh fruit left in the room every day, maid service and a turn down service in the evening (includes chocolates left on your pillow and towels left in the shapes of animals!) and complimentary champagne and birthday cake left for me when they realised I went on holiday to celebrate my birthday.
The facilities of the hotel were fantastic, although with the heat being in the early 40's for my of my stay, I will admit to spending most of my time at the poolside. Probably my only complaint would be that you had to book in advance for many of the restaurants so you have to decide what 'theme' of restaurant you want in advance.
My nicest meal was at La Veranda - it was really quiet in this restaurant (probably due to the fact that the heat was still pretty intense in the evening and this was an outside restaurant) and we ate with the sounds of waves lapping on the shore watching the spectacular light display of the Burj. Amazing.
If you want to be spoilt then this is the place for you - the staff were amazing, always ready with a smile and if they spot you trying to do anything for yourself, they are always on hand to assist, whether this is with laying your towels on the loungers, putting up one of the parasols, or even pouring your own drink.
In the hottest part of the day, complimentary ice lollies were handed out around the poolside, and there's a man on hand with a tank of chilled Evian on his back - he'll give you a light spraying to cool you down. This would be lovely with chilled tap water, but you know you're somewhere pretty special when they do it with EVIAN!!!
I can't wait to go back - highly recommended, although if travelling with young kids, it's probably better to stick to the cooler months.

Make good memories!
Life is short and holidays are too short & precious to go elsewhere!
We originally went to this hotel as a couple, on a friend's recommendation back on Oct 2002, before these review sites and the web.
That holiday was excellent and made wonderful memories. So when we had children and wanted to go on holiday as an extended family with 2 grandparents. We decided to return, which is something we have never done before. We were confident that it would be just as excellent and make wonderful family memories.
The holiday was great. We upgraded from the 2002 accommodation of a balcony room with premium leisure, to two junior suites. This gave us plenty of space room for the children’s beds in our suite. With a wonderful view over the Burj AL Arab and the Wild Wadi. The Grandparents, at the other end of the Hotel, had a view over Dubai city and a balcony almost as large as their room.
The staff were attentive when you wanted them to be and always very polite. The colonnade was undergoing a refurbishment at the time of stay, however this did not cause any issue at all.
The facilities such as restaurants, beeches & pools had changed over time. They had been improved and kept up-to-date. Noting appeared tired in contrast to the stay 4 years previously.
The exec pool was a new addition and was a calm and pleasurable place to be. With it small children’s pool and watchful life guards it was perfect. The Wild Wadi took on a new dimension as a family and whilst thrills were appreciated the safety and calmness of the large wave pool and children’s play area was great.
The only negative was a room issue. Due our early arrival the suites were not initially ready. However we had breakfast and a swim, by which time the first suite was ready. Unfortunately the staff put the party of 4 in the smaller of the two rooms. This wasn’t practical and with the suite being one of the smallest they had, it gave us a negative feeling. I spoke nicely and politely with the staff member who put me in contact with the deputy and hotel manager. Again I spoke nicely and politely and explained the situation. They took note and listened and arranged for a different suite and for us to be moved without any fuss or negativity. They did their best then to turn the negative into a positive and noted that as a party of 6 the choice of accommodation and location was a challenge and arranged for me to view their other types of rooms, suites and the Beit Al Bahar.
At the end of the stay at JBH we had three nights at the Burj Al Arab. That’s for a different review. The point being that as a family we would recommend the Jumeirah Beach Hotel even against the Burj. It’s not just words. We are going back May 28th 2011 to the Beit al Bahar. The effort the staff made in dealing with our complaint and the viewing of the Beit Al Bahar helped us make the choice.
It’s the best!
