Jumeira Rotana Hotel

Having used trip advisor many times to get a 'feel' for accomodation I feel somewhat compelled to contribute and write a review that may be helpful to others. Stayed here for 6 nights, rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Bathroom was fine but could do with a little upgrade to bring it up to the standard of the rest of hotel. The Boston Bar has great food and excellent lively atmosphere in the evening. The staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant on the top floor offered a great choice of dishes for all meals. Each night had a different theme. We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a transit through to Sri Lanka. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, the rooms were lovely (although the bathrooms were a bit dated), a decent buffet breakfast - everything you would expect from a 4* hotel. TIt wasn't far to the main attractions via taxis which are dirt cheap (the most you will probably pay is £5 for a 45 min taxi journey. There are also some lovely restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was OK. The room itself was nice and big, but the bathroom did not live up to the 4-star rating. The vanities were in poor shape; missing tile grout was replaced with caulking. The service was good. The Boston Bar had excellent cheese burgers for a reasonable price. The hotel has access to a private beach for a fee of 50 Dirhams. Wish there was WiFi coverage in the room, but it was only in the lobby. The hotel has a swimming pool which we didn't use.

This hotel is lovely. The receptionists are helpful and all staff smile and greet guests as and when they see them. The rooms were really spacious although the bathrooms were a little disappointing in design but the main thing is that everything was clean! my sis and I shared a room and had a tiny problem in that the AC seemed to be set to 15 degrees whenever we left the room so we would be cold for at least half an hour while we waited for the room to heat up which was bizaare considering it was 45 degrees outside. my mum's room did not... more

I agree with the other reviews. Probably the best deal in Dubai if you want to be close to the city and the airport. Taxi fare is very reasonable from here. It's very attractive, the staff is very attentive (they sent a cake for my daughter's birthday) and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The FIVE restaurant has a great assortment for breakfast and omelets cooked to order and a variety of specialty dinners in the evening. The Boston bar also has good food with healthy portions. We have just returned form Dubai where we spent five days in the Jumeirah Rotana Hotel. The Staff here were very friendly and helpful- they wrote my name for me in Arabic which I used to get inscripted on a silver chain. The porters were always on hand to call a taxi -we waited no more than two minutes for one. The rooms were lovely and spacious and always very clean. Stayed here in April 2007. This place is a real find. Great location, clean spacious room & reasonably priced by Dubai standards. Accommodation included breakfast which was a buffet feast with loads to choose from & enough to keep one going until well after lunchtime. Staff were helpful & friendly. Would highly recommend.

Have just returned from Dubai. This hotel is very good, the staff are excellent & very friendly, the rooms are spotless, and large. The food at the Boston Bar was fantastic. I have to say I cannot fault anything about this hotel is was excellent, would stay here again.

I booked my stay at the Rotana using Asiarooms.com. I stayed here 9 nights with my wife. Most of the reviews will confirm my experience at this Hotel. Although not 5 star it more than lives up to a 4 star rating with large spacious rooms, kept very clean with all the facilities you can expect.
