The only thing to watch are food and drink expenses. Alcohol is the same price in pubs as here, sometimes more expensive. Food is priced as you would expect in a 5 star hotel, but is exquisite.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you fancy eating outside of the hotel. It is safe to walk around the streets, I was never approached by anyone or made to feel unsafe in any way. The gold souks are well worth visiting and if you can afford it a desert safari is an amazing experience.
This was my second trip to Abu Dhabi and the Intercontinental and I am planning to return.
