Abu Dhabi is a fantastic destination. The intercontinental is a clean, lavishly luxurious hotel. The staff can't do enough for you and the facilities are second to none.
The only thing to watch are food and drink expenses. Alcohol is the same price in pubs as here, sometimes more expensive. Food is priced as you would expect in a 5 star hotel, but is exquisite.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you fancy eating outside of the hotel. It is safe to walk around the streets, I was never approached by anyone or made to feel unsafe in any way. The gold souks are well worth visiting and if you can afford it a desert safari is an amazing experience.
This was my second trip to Abu Dhabi and the Intercontinental and I am planning to return.
