Not my first choice of holiday as I had been before but it was the only thing available to us on our tiny budget. It was well worth it, the hotel was basic but charming, the area was fantastic, near Montmartre and Gare du Nord, and we packed a lot into our 4 night stay. I... more

Just Right
from Surlaplage
Before booking a place in Paris I was nervous about how much money I would have to spend. I needed somewhere on a budget, but there are 3 things i will not compromise in order to stay at a budget hotel. Those are safety, cleanliness and good service. Hotel Perfect has ALL of these things for only 25 euros/pp in June, the beginning of high season. There was a baguette and jam served every morning. I honestly do not think there is a better place to stay in Paris for this price.
Very simple but nice hotel
from Smithla6
We just returned from a five-night stay in Paris at the Hotel Perfect. We had a double room and paid the extra $10 for our own bathroom - well worth the extra money!! It is an extremely simple hotel - don't come here expecting any kind of luxury at all. However, if you come in with the right mind set, it was a perfectly nice hotel for the price. The rooms are teeny-tiny (no tv or alarm clock) but are presentable and are cleaned daily. The bathroom, too, was tiny, but also clean. Our shower had an unattached shower head, so you had to hold it above you when you wanted to rinse off (but, compared to some of the other hotels we stayed at, the tub was downright spacious!) The workers there were very friendly (and speak English) and the best part is the breakfast! Not many choices - you can only get a baguette with butter and jam and a coffee or hot chocolate. However, it's delicious and as soon as we left I began missing my daily baguette! The location is good and close to the Metro station and Sacre Couer. We also walked to Moulin Rouge and that area with no problem. Our only complaint was the uncomfortable pillows - they were paper-thin and hard. On our last day we saw some pillows for sale and realized we should have just bought some better ones on our first night - would have made the whole experience a lot better. Overall, this is an extremely basic but functional hotel. Stay here if you're planning to be out touring a lot, and not relaxing in your room. If you want to relax, go to a cafe and have a coffee - you can sit there for hours and the chairs will be a lot more comfortable than the pillows at Hotel Perfect!
okay, but beware
from BPLNewOrleans
We are in our 50's and we were easily twice as old as all other guests, which is fine, but indicates that this is just above hostel level. Our son who lives in the neighborhood, made the arrangements, and I was taken aback to discover that he had put us in a one-star hotel. To be fair, it was a little better than I expected, but the accommodations were bare bones at best. We were awakened VERY early each morning by the garbage truck, and in the middle of the night by our fellow guests in the hallways. I would recommend this for those on a very tight budget, as the neighborhood is nice, but will not stay again myself.
basic but a good base
from shazzaEngland
we stayed in the perfect hotel for a weekend get away in september. this hotel is very basic (no tv, no kettle) but when you've got a whole city to explore you will only use your room to sleep and wash in! the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. unfortunately the apartments next door housed a man who had the loudest snore i have ever heard in my life! the hotel is just on the edge of a bit of an undesirable area, but we had no problems you just have to use your head and stay away from those types of areas. on the plus side it is in walking distance to the sacre couer and moulin rouge. we would stay there again as we would just use it as a base to explore more of the city, if that is what you are after it is fine, but if you want luxury this is definately not for you.
Hotel Perfect - a great choice!

Hotel Perfect was a pleasant surprise! The price for the location and service was phenomenal. The staff and other guests were very friendly and respectful. The front desk, breakfast area, showers and toilets were all very clean - quite impressive! The staff was very welcoming and they keep a good eye on the place. The location is very convenient, close to the metro (Anvers station) and other amenities. My first day in Paris I took a lovely walk, had breakfast in the park nearby, then walked to Garnier's Opera and Galleries Lafayette and enjoyed dinner at a little bistro. I felt safe walking around, day and night. I have absolutely no complaints. It was safe, clean and convenient. Next time I need a room in Paris I will definitely stay at the Hotel Perfect!
Love this charming hotel!

This is a very basic, but clean and comfortable hotel. Small rooms and bathroom, but cleaned daily. Close to the metro, sacre cour, affordable restaurants, etc. Staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is a hot drink and baguette - nice. Lots of atmosphere, including a small balcony. We felt we were getting value for money and I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect Hostel, Perfect Location
from maehem
Small and quaint but conveniently located hostel. Clean and close to many things. Staff were warm and welcoming and very friendly. I would definitely consider staying there again when I next visit Paris.
Stayed there 3 times so far - EXCELLENT value!

If you are a princess, or simply must have all the amenities, go elsewhere. If you want a nice, clean little room with friendly staff, check this place out. The location is GREAT ~ very close to Sacre Couer & the metro ~ the price cannot be beat, and really....do you go to Paris to see the inside of your hotel room?? What you get is a small, clean room with a sink and shared (or private, depending on price) bathroom. Showers are located on a seperate floor, but they work well, and there is free breakfast of baguette and coffee. The elevator is teeny tiny, but it only adds to the experience of staying in this old Parisian hotel. I would recommend getting something at the back or side of the building, as there is street noise at the front. Still, I have nothing bad to say about this place - it's spartan, but for the price, you cannot go wrong. ...and Chantelle is so nice, plus her English is great....
Review For Hotel/Hostel Perfect
from k.rooney
For a weekend trip then book this place, although you are a metro distance from the main attraction, the metro system is excellent and trains arrive every couple of mins. If you book this place your nearest train station is Gare Du Nord and your nearest metro station is Anvers but just ask at the front desk of the hostel and she will guide you anywhere you need to go. The hostel was great for its price, with clean towels and bed linen for a comfitable stay. Although the rooms are slightly small dont worry about it as the beds are lovely, and the room decor is set in old fashioned french style which we found fantastic. Bfast was a baguette with jam/marmalade and a hot cup of tea, but there are a couple of small-ish supermarkets close by. If you stay here then you are five mins walk from moulin rouge and a little further from the sacre coeur. Finding this place was slightly difficult from Gare Du Nord, but if you can get a map from the net, you will be staying on Rue De Rodier, and it is clearly visable when walking down the street. The metro is approx 2.80 euros for 2 people to the main attractions e.g Eiffel tower and it was 16.70 euros for 2 people to disneyland (the one day metro tickets to all zones to get to disneyland is approx 20 euros so get the single tickets when you enter the station both ways), highly recommended everybody - hope this is usefull, Karl.
Basic is the only word!
from Annie_2211
We visited Paris at Christmas and, given that this is no place to be lying around your hotel room, we went for something on the cheaper side. The reviews seemed great and, come on, the place is said to be "perfect". However, the room was VERY basic. Nothing other than a bed, wardrobe, and table. Bathroom was fine. Although we were happy for the price, the breakfast was poor and the noise was terrible. Neither of us got a bit of sleep the whole time we were there.

The Perfect Hotel really is just that. It's a budget hotel/hostel and it is an amazing value for the money. My friend and I stayed in a twin bed room with ensuite for only 30 euros each a night. Our room was cleaned daily - beds made, bathroom cleaned and towels changed... more
