Jun 2008, Mrs G Curless

Me my husband and two kids aged 5 and 18 months had two weeks holiday here in may. we were all inclusive. The hotel and entertainment team were brilliant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only downside was when the weather was bad (which was a full week) they shut the pool bar so if you wanted a drink you had to queue at the food bar. Queue wasn't too bad though and food was great for all inclusive. Rooms were big and very clean.

Jun 2008, Mrs R Edwards

After reading some bad reviews on this hotel, I must say I was a bit worried about what we would walk into.
When we got there we were surprised how lovely & clean the place was.
We went with our 2 children aged 5 & 2. We all had a fab 2 weeks except for the weather which was very cloudy, but this did`nt stop us doing anything. The swimming pools (indoor & out) were great, the kids enjoyed the park and daily enteraintment.
The strip is only a short walk away, where you`ll find lots of restaurants and bars. the beaches are lovely too.
We had a great hols and will be going back again

This is probably the worst holiday we...

May 2008, Mr G.A. Shepherd

This is probably the worst holiday we have had. The studios were primitive and dirty. the carpet the table chairs which was all there was to sit on, the dresser chair which had a leg missing were filthy black. The toilet door was jammed on the tiles, The main door was split and had to have numerous screws inserted to hold it together. The room itself was tiny the table was jammed to the wall there was only room to access one chair. The kitchen area well there was no area it was covered by a curtain i felt was too close to the beds. I had to remove the carpet, put the dresser chair on the balcony and cover the table chairs. The balcony itself which was meant to have a sea view had no light, no sun, the balcony wall was above our heads it was a pit the studio was a hell hole. The balcony wall was bombarded with seagull crap. We paid for under occupancy for a room that was not big enough for a couple. The hygeine cleanliness of the room was a disgrace. We went to the rep who was ignorant and asked for a one bed apartment. He offered another studio meantime we packed all our kit and went down to the other room to find it had not been cleaned from the last occupants we received a call from reception when we were in the room saying there had been an error. We had to move all our kit back to the pit. I had asked the rep to come up and check the condition of the room he did not turn up but i felt by that time Thomas Cook were going to wipe their hands of the situation which is what they did. We stayed in the room only to sleep. On complaining the rep lied about the situation. TC COULD NOT CARE LESS.

This was the best hotel I have been...

May 2008, Ms H Barrett

This was the best hotel I have been to on a package holiday. The staff we friendly, spoke excellent English and couldn't do enough to help you.
The food provided on all inclusive was varied, cooked and presented well and very pleasing.
The hotel has excellent facilities and the pool and surrounding areas are spotless.
Our room was cleaned daily and to a very high standard, fresh towels provided daily.
The entertainment during the day was fun for all ages, and the childrens club was entertaining and interesting for teh children who couldn't wait to get there. All the Thomas Cook Staff were well informed about the local area and were the most professional Reps I have ever met.
The evening entertainment was also excellent and fun for the whole family, there was not one part of any show put on that was not suitable for even the smallest family members.
I have never been on a holiday where I came home with nothing to complain about, however, I could not fault this holiday at all, I will definately be returning here in the future as it has become my favourite place to be.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone as they will be hard pushed to find one better...

This was a great holiday the hotel...

May 2008, Miss Aw Wheeler

This was a great holiday the hotel was spotless and was very modern. The staff were extremly helpful. The onsite facilities were great and it was not to busy or loud. There was a small shop which was handy to get your basics. There was a small shopping complex just 2 minutes walk away which had resturants, supermarket and a small selection of other shops. The old town was 1km away which had a larger selection of shops and thats where the beutiful sandy beach was located. There was some excellent resturants near the beach. If you are travelling to the Algarve i would strongly recomend going to zoo marine which is excellent for kids. We took a taxi ride to a large shopping centre that had everything and was all very cheap. The taxis are very cheap in the Algarve or you could take a bus. Despite being february we had really hot weather and was able to wear shorts and go in the sea. I will definatly be returning to this hotel at some stage we loved the area and the hotel. Overall we had a fantastic holiday. 10/10 ******

Apr 2008, Mrs F Duyile

I read all the negative and positve reviews about this hotel before travelling and thought people were exagerating. If you have never stayed in a 4 Star hotel before but want to upgrade, then it is good for you but if you have stayed in a 4 Star hotel before you will be very very disappointed.
The bed is like sleeping on a flat ironing boarding with a rough surface. The food is awful.........., developed a back pain whilst on holiday from sleeping on the appalling bed and entertainment is rubbish.
On the positive side, staff are friendly and polite and the reception area is spacious.

Apr 2008, Mr P Wilson

My family and I were extremely pleased with every aspect of this hotel especially after reading previous negative comments.
The entire hotel was very clean including public toilets. The maid cleaned our room to a high standard every day.
The food was prepared to a high standard, the menu was varied and even the most critical diner would have found something they could eat.
All the staff were very friendly, inparticular the restaurant and bar staff. They were all smartly dressed in clean uniforms.
The facilities are extremely good and include indoor and outdoor swimming pools.Crazy golf, tennis courts and even a football field for the more energetic.
There was access to the sauna and gym.
The outside pool snack bar was popular with pizzas, cheese burghers, hot dogs and chips etc available until 18.00 hrs which meant you did not have to visit the restaurants for your lunch unless you wanted to.A very enjoyable two week holiday.

Apr 2008, Mrs C

We went 1 adult 2 children ages 15 & 10. Self catering, however we soon upgraded to all inclusive. Our flight was as some others have mentioned economy standards but thats all I expected to be honest and your only on the plane for 2hrs 20mins. We arrived on an early morning flight and transfer was quick only 30 mins from airport so we were at the hotel just after 9.30, so imagine our horror when we were told check in was 2pm. I asked at reception where we could eat and get a drink as we had been travelling over night, they advised the pool bar off we went down to the pool to order some food to be told by the staff no cash taken at the bar I advised we were self catering and they said I need to wait till we check in and then we are issued with a key card.
Off we went back to reception to query this to be told sorry yes no cash can be taken and the other reception person was incorrect to advise me I could eat or drink in the hotel before I checked in as we couldn't. To be honest I thought why allow your guest to arrive so early if you cannot provide even a drink.
Off we went outside the hotel in search of some food, we didn't need to go far and we had breakfast. We sat around the pool nearly 5 hrs fully clothed waiting and waiting til 2pm the only good thought was thank god its April and not July or August.
After check in which was the queue we were all expecting snaking round the reception area we went off to the room, 1st impressions very cramped for the three of us in one room but as most guest have advised clean but basic.
We went all inclusive for the last 5 days I would recommend this especially if you intend spending lots of time around the pool.
The kids made some lovely friends and didn't want to venture outside the hotel.
The entertainment was enough to send everyone asleep but we had a giggle.
The hotel and the reps were great for the kids little kids that was. There was nothing for the few teenagers that were there but they made the best of it.
I thought the staff were nice but a few of us thought it was a bit strange they didn't speak, but they smiled nicely!!.
On the whole we had a lovely time and soon forgot the experience of the first day.
Would I return no but only because we never go to the same place twice would I recommend this Hotel yes but only all inclusive.
