The Beatles stayed here in 1965 and were they to return today they would appreciate that apart from the original façade, which dates back to when the hotel opened, the entire hotel has been completely renovated. Indeed the hotel is now considered to be the flagship property of the Sol Meliá hotel chain.

A very plush and grandiose hotel. Breakfast is fantastic but standard rooms are very small but comfortable. Dining room and foyer are spectacular as is the sweeping staircase.

A lovely city centre hotel but room was just too small.
