We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend break in March. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and well presented. All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful. Breakfasts were great. We ate dinner in the La Terrazza restaurant at the hotel and in a few other restaurants around town; all the meals we had were very enjoyable and good value.

I had read some reviews which were critical of the neighborhood, but we found it to be perfectly safe and friendly. Also I had heard that there were late night noise problems at the hotel from the street below, but the receptionist offered us a quiet room when we checked in and even though it was only on the first floor (at the back of the building), our sleep was never disturbed.

Our stay was very enjoyable, and we used the metro to get around the city, again, no criticism at all here, it's safe, clean and very user friendly. You need a good week to even scratch the surface of Barcelona, but it's still a great place for a long weekend.

We found this hotel well sited for sightseeing and a good base for travelling around the city.

I would happily go again, and probably will.

Found this to be a good hotel in a good location close to the centre of this city and right next to the metro line.



Basically TRYP hotels are the 3 star part of the Sol Melia group but we found this hotel to be as good as a 4 or 5 star but at considerably less cost!



Bar cheaper than adjoining bars even, but hotel was faultless unless you were on the last minute for breakfast when for some reason the restaurant became packed.
