Senator Barcelona Hotel Reviews
" I've just got back from 3 nights in... "

I've just got back from 3 nights in Barcelona. The Senator Hotel was very good. Rooms had everything you need for a city break. The swimming pool is on top of the hotel but it wasn't open as it wasn't the summer. We didn't spend too much time in the hotel as you don't when you're on a city break.
The area where the hotel is situated is very quiet - deserted! 200m away from Camp Nou. We got tickets for the Barcelona 3-0 Athletico Madrid game which was good. The tour is OK but nothing to write home about. The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk from the Metro which takes you to La Ramblas and anywhere else you may wish to go to. It's very clean and efficient. We bought a 10 journey ticket for €6.50.
The tour bus as stated below is beside the Camp Nou and is a must! €19 it cost and shows you everything. The Cathedral is magnificent and a must see.
Overall - Hotel Senator is very good, it is away from the buzz of the centre so if you want a stay in a quiet area that is only a 5 minute Metro journey away from the hub then this is the place to go!

In 2002 we stayed in the Senator Hotel near the NuCamp stadium. The hotel although on the outskirts of Barcelona, was only a short taxi ride from both the airport and the centre of the city. About a five minute walk away from the hotel was a tour bus stop, which proved invaluable for getting to all the tourist spots.
The hotel itself was very impressive. As we checked in we were treated to a glass of bubbly, then directed to our rooms, which were spacious and came with TV, mini bar and a bathroom full of freebies! I love the freebies :) There were a pair of flip flops each with the name of the hotel on, soaps, toothbrushes and paste, razors and shaving cream, sewing kits (never use these, but they always come home with me!).
We ate at the hotel one evening and weren’t disappointed, it was a help yourself buffet and if you wanted meat, the chef cooked it on a barbeque in front of you, I had the lamb which was delicious.
We found out on the last day of our stay that there was an outdoor pool on the roof of the hotel, as it was a cold day, we had a look from the door, but it looked good.
The hotel also had a spa, which I had a tour of and was surprised to find something called and ‘orange pool’, it was a Jacuzzi size pool with oranges floating it in!
If I go to Barcelona again, I’ll be staying at this hotel!

For me it was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. Staff very friendly, lots of food, and the rooms were amazing!
Well furnished, very comfortable. Internet in the room, mini bar as well and lots of amenities . Stay there during Easter holidays –beautiful.
I highly recommend this hotel in Barcelona. Close to the underground entrance, bus stops as well and of course has a lovely view to the campnu (Barcelona FC stadium).
Enjoy!
