we,ve just returned from 7 nights stay at the mimosa hotel in sidari, me and my 11 friends found the whole holiday FANTASTIC, although the hotel is quite basic, its clean, the foods not bad and the staff were great, very friendly and really helpfull, overall we had a great holiday and we can,t wait to return. 10 out of 10 from us.
- Advice: buffet dinner service would be better.

we arrived on 3rd june for a 2 weeks stay. to be honest i expected it to be a complete dump from some of the reviews id read but was actually pleasently suprised. we arrived at 7am after travelling all night to be greeted by a friendly man on reception. He gave us our key to our room and told us when breakfast was. The rooms where basic but clean-cant moan its a 2/3* hotel so dont understand why people expect so much some times! There was 2 pools that where both clean. The staff where all really friendly too. We really enjoyed the food, was a set menu but a few things to choose from. The meat was always tastey and to be honest everyones different so some will like it some wont as with anything. The breakfast was okay, cereal, egg on toast but we ate out most mornings as wanted a lay in :) If you want a cooked breakfast i highly reccommend B.E.D!! staff so friendly and get cooked breakie orange juice tea or coffee for 3 euro! nicest we had!! beach was literally across the road with pedalos to hire, speed boats, paragliding theres plenty to do! lots of escursions everywhere we went on several all at very reasonabe prices!! There was entertainment at hotel which wasnt the best but we didnt expect entertainment at the price you pay so you cant grumble. The location of hotel is perfect! its just at the start of the strip, turn right from hotel and its lively, there are many PRs who try to get you in bars etc which you dont mind if on a night out as get free shots or buy one get on free but when you want a quiet drink or walk it does get annoying, if you want a quiet drink/walk turnm left ftom hotel as you dont get pestered at all and its alot prittier. The canal a'mour is 5 min walk and the cliffs are beautiful (can also hire pedleboat and look at the caves etc aswell). Overall exellent hotel and great value for money! i belived the holiday is what you make from it. if you pick at every little thing it will be rubbish but we had a great time!! if we come back to corfu well stay in mimosa again :) oh also maid came everyday to clean and make beds etc. clean towels every other day. we has the older building on front of hotels, which in other reviews where described as horrible but ours where absolutly fine! The newer building does look better but we didnt mind at all.

We stayed in the Mimosa Hotel in June 2010. This has to be the worst 3 star hotel we have ever stayed in. It has a prime location and you are ok if you manage to get a room on the front block. We were stuck on the back block. The rooms were very basic. Not enough towels given out and the bathroom was covered in black mould around the shower cubicle area. There was pubic hair down the plughole of the shower with an old shower curtain around the cubicle which stuck to you when trying to shower. The room was constantly damp, clothes were damp and I came away from holiday with laryngitis and a chest infection. The food was ok but not a great deal of choice. 3 selections for starter, 3 selections for your main and 1 selection for sweet. No self service. Waiter service to your table with your selection of food. The only good thing I have to say is you get a nice breeze when sitting around the pool, coming off the beach. It had a lot of regular guests there when we went and they seemed to get best rooms. The front block has been done up. We only know this as we made friends with people staying in the front block. They came to our room to have a look and couldnt believe the difference. I dont think this is a 3 star hotel, the front block maybe but the back blocks definitely not. Needless to say, I wont be back.
- Advice: Insist you have a room on the front block

Just returned from one weeks hols at this hotel. Good points - Spotlessly clean, evening meal good, optional choices. Poor points - Breakfast plain, Staff unfriendly. Closed back pool without telling us. If you wanted a fridge, air con, kettle or iron you had to pay for them. No tv in rooms, the loveley flat screen TVs in dining area were on mute half the time.
Had a front room with balcony, so had a good sea view, night life was good, nice walks along the coast line too.
To sum up the hotel could do better, ask the guests what they would like, smile more often.
Overall it served the purpose, but would not go back.
- Advice: Double check what you are getting before booking

me and my wife have just returned from a ten night stay at the mimosa. we found the hotel staff very frendily and helpfull hotel situated in ideal spot just over the road from beach and main shopping areas only gripes we had was the lack of pressure of water from sink taps and the fact we didnt see much of a cleaner in the ten days we were there im sure it just wasnt mossy bites we got. but as value for monies go it was very good couldnt find fault with corfu beautifull place to visit but with the mimosa you will either love it or hate it.

My partner and I stayed at the Mimosa on the 6th of August 2010. Our hearts sank when we saw the room, the beds were 6 inches off the floor, you couldn't fit them together and the pillows were the size of postage-stamps! We had to pay separately for air-con, a fridge and a kettle. Also, there were no tv's in the rooms. The bathrooms were like pub toilets with the added pleasure of having to put your used paper in a bin next to it. But to top it all, the bars in that end of town were pumping out loud boom-boom music til around 6 in the morning. If you're going away to unwind, this is definately not the place to stay. We had to transfer to a new hotel, just to be able to get a night's sleep!
- Advice: don't even go there!

What can i say, what a great holiday!!!i went with my husband,my 3 children and 2 of their friends aging between 11 and 19.I had read the reviews before i went so i was expecting the worst, god was i wrong. The hotel was better than i thought.rooms were basic but we wasnt going to sit in our room for 2 weeks, hotel and pool areas were always clean and the food was lovely. It was a set menu but there was always a meal including chips for those that didnt want to try the greek dishes.
The situation of the hotel was ideal, right opposite the beach and right next to the main strip, but what topped the holiday was the staff, the receptionists were so friendly, polite and helpful. The waiters were great and you always had your food hot.Andreas the barman was friendly and funny and rhiannon the entertainment girlwas lovely. She had her work cut out some days but occupied my kids. All in all we had a fantastic holiday,i know eveyone might not agree but dont me and my family couldnt pick fault and will definately be returning. Thanks to all at mimosa for a fab holiday!!!!!

Well, before i went to Sidari my brother did tell me its a very basic place, and he was right!
we had a bed...cupboard and little desk but the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed every other day.
the hotel staff were lovely and very polite. hotel food was brilliant but as it was a set menu and not a buffet style which meant you had to pick something you was going to like! (you may want to consider going self catering as its cheap and good to eat out)
Pool side was alo kept clean and tidy, but yu coulnt bring your own drinks or food in.
The were plenty of places to eat out especailly 'BED BAR' and also mikeys Inn.
the beach was lovely and clean to but was 8 euro a day.
anyone who didnt like this hotel was either hard to please or expected corfu to be some sort of posh place...which it isnt.
I must say the ONLY down side to out holiday was the bar across the road. It had singers and acts on till 4 in the morning therefore it was a bit noisey...but nothing a few drinks couldnt sort out :)
If your a young couple or group going, deffanatly try Bed Bar, and Ice Club as thats the only nightclub!

Worse hotel I have been in, I was not able to sleep for
7 nights until 4.00 am in the morning, from the loud music coming from the hotel itself. Food was bad.
