I must say after reading the comments...
10 / 10
Aug 2006, Mr L Sewell

I must say after reading the comments about the Mimosa Hotel Sidari on here, I was shocked to say the least. I think it was excellent, I wouldn’t even say there was a word in the dictionary to explain or even give you a clue as to how good it was.
The staff, the food, location everything was perfect and I found the staff especially the owner made me and my partner feel great and enjoy what time we had there so much
Because of this we are returning next year and will do for many more, to the same hotel the Mimosa. I just came across this site and was totally dumbfounded and felt quite upset if I’m honest at what I had read.
To summarise, it was the best holiday we have ever had and best hotel in our opinion so please don’t write it off, it caters for all and it is excellent.

Location very good. Food in the hotel...

Aug 2006, Ms H Porteous

Location very good. Food in the hotel was very good and the staff were excellent and George at the bar was very friendly and helpful. Plus George at the back pool was friendly.
Spiros at the front pool was cheeky but nice to me but it was a really good hotel and the weather was great and the night life was good and if you didn't want to go out there was always something in the hotel. The only complaint we had was that we didn't see a rep for the 2 weeks that we staid there.
But if you were scared of heights you shouldn't go up the mountains to the monastery as you have to go up very steep and narrow roads witch is scary but apart from all that the hotel was beautiful. And we recommend that you go.

The hotel Mimosa is basic but clean,...

Jul 2006, Miss H Fox

The hotel Mimosa is basic but clean, the food was average but edible and overall I had a great time.
The location is perfect with the beach and bars literally a minutes walk away. I didn’t spend huge amounts of time in the hotel but the time that I did I was enjoyable and the staff made us feel really welcome. The only time we did stay in the hotel for long periods of time was for the pool side bar happy hour where all drinks are buy one get one free. After only 2 days the bar man had memorized my drinks order and always had it waiting for me before I even had chance to ask!
The room was clean and tidy and the bed sheets were changed daily. The shower was a bit dodgy but we soon mastered it, who needs a boiling hot shower in 30 degrees plus anyway? The view from our balcony was not great but the gorgeous views else where more than made up for it.
I don’t understand why Mimosa has such bad ratings, it was the best holiday I have ever had and I would recommend it to friends and young couples who don’t need to be in home away from home on holiday.

Just returned from my holidays with...
3 / 10
Jun 2006, Miss S Smith

Just returned from my holidays with my partner and although we had a great time the hotel mimosa confirmed everything I had read before I went there. On first impressions the hotel from the outside doesn’t look too bad until they give you your key and you open your door then it's all downhill from there.
The rooms are cramped, extremely cheap fittings, the toilet seat wasn’t fitted properly, the taps were all corroded, the sink would move if you leant on it too much, the shower is beyond words. The mattresses were rock solid, sheets were old with cigarette burns in them, the decor appalling, overall poor accommodation. The meals were even worse, breakfast was not worth waking up for and the dinners were equally poor. The food was so bad that after eating at the hotel for the first 3 nights we couldn't bear it any more so ate out thereafter.
The biggest disappointment is that when booking this holiday i was lead to believe that the hotel was 3 star however it was more like 1 star. The hotel was money down the drain and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was a bit worried when we set off...

Sep 2005, Miss Jan Martin

I was a bit worried when we set off to the Mimosa having read quite a lot of reviews - my worries were justified. This hotel must have been given one star because it has a pool and 1 star because of its location (which to be fair is really good) - the accommodation is basic to say the least - no hot water after 9am until 4pm and the shower is really a slow running tap which you have to try and stand under. Rooms were really really shabby - mirrors dirty, wardrobes and drawers were tatty and the mattresses were filthy!!! Pathetic air conditioning which we had to pay extra for.
The food was dreadful - cannot understand how any one could say otherwise - however we did notice that the restaurant charges only 6 euros for non residents for a 3 course meal - so I suppose you get what you pay for - if you like eating in cheap market cafes you would think it OK here. After 4 nights we had had enough and paid to go to the Three Brothers Hotel - luxury, fantastic bathroom with a full power shower, comfy beds, free good air conditioning and a fan as well, well decorated, right on the beach, great food - I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Sidari is a nice resort when you get away from all the English bars serving sausage and mash, the beach is great, lots of nice walks - just keep away from the Mimosa.

Pretty much what you would expect...
7 / 10
Aug 2004, Miss j street

Pretty much what you would expect from a 2 star hotel ,could be a lot better but given the price a good holiday.
Nice location right by the beach, most days we walked ten mins to the canal d'mor area where there are some lovely little beaches.
The evening meal was very good ,the children’s menu was the same every night sausage and chips chicken nuggets and chips and about 4 other things with chips which got a bit boring for kids. Our rooms where at the front of the hotel which is the older part.
This is right above the bar area where the entertainment is in the evening, this finishes at twelve but the noise out in the street continues until about 3.
This is the only negative thing I found with our holiday, it didn’t bother us too much as our kids are teenagers, but I imagine it could do if you had younger kids and had to spend a bit more time in your room.

It’s only been a couple of days...
10 / 10
May 2004, Not Specified

It’s only been a couple of days since my holiday and I wish I were still there. The hotel and staff which we stayed made our holiday much more better and memorable. We went half board which at first we were unsure about due to previous experiences we had on other holidays. However the large selection of food on the menu was fantastic and tasted delicious and what made it even better is that the staff were extremely friendly and a laugh to talk to.
Hotel Mimosa also offered us great evening entertainment such as the Greek night which is a must see and gets the audience up off their feet and involved, as well as the waiters joining in. I found that their was a variety of entertainment for all ages and even though the hotel was near the cool bars and clubs of Sidari there was no loud music to disturb us whilst we slept.
Overall I shall definitely be returning to the Mimosa Hotel in the not too distant future, hopefully some time this year. Especially to sit at the hotel bar and be able to look onto the beach and sunrise in the morning and laze about in the refreshing pools of hotel Mimosa, followed by the hot water showers in our hotel room in which we thought were spacious enough... and as for the bars and clubs they are a must see and good fun. Sidari and Hotel Mimosa are definitely not to be missed....!

Never again! The hotel was classed as...
1 / 10
Oct 2002, Ms J Cropper

Never again! The hotel was classed as 2 star when we went in Oct 2002. The hotel was dirty and noisy. On arrival we were allocated a room above the bar which was very noisy as the evening's entertainment was underway. We asked to be moved to a quieter room, which wasn't much better. The room was extremely cramped - the children had to sit on the bunk beds so we could walk around the room when getting ready to go out. We had to have cold showers most days as there wasn't any hot water.
The food was terrible. Our 1st meal looked as if it was leftovers scaped together and was barely warm. Although the package was half board, we couldn't bear to eat in the hotel again. Location of hotel was good as it was directly opposite the beach but was let down by the fact that Sidari is like a downmarket Blackpool. We've been so traumatised by the experience that we will not go to anything less than 4* accommodation now just to be on the safe side !!
