" Having booked this hotel and then... "
Submitted By: Miss K O''RaweNothing wrong with the outside of the hotel. Our room was as requested and cleaned every day apart from a Sunday (we stayed two weeks) and towels were changed whenever we put them in the bath tub. Kitchen area was not extensive but then who goes on holiday to cook !!!. Air condition worked a treat - 15 euors of the remote control which you get back when you hand it back in. Pool area was cleaned every day. Sunbeds - well not too much of a problem but then the hotel was not fully booked - i could see where the problem would occure in June or July or early August. Although the one day we could not get a bed at 9am the hotel manager came and removed all the towels that were on beds with no bums !!! and it never happened again. The bar staff were friendly and great with kids. The accommodation looked exactly like the photos. We booked a trip through the hotel and it was fine and also booked the taxi to the airport and that was fine as well.
All in all would go back no problem and recommend it.

Submitted By: Miss C AndrewsThe beach that was to the left of the hotel and a 10 min walk was gorgeous and not to busy.
We got almost 1 week of rainy weather 3 days of sunshine.
The strip is a 10 min walk to right of the hotel and is is very busy with lots of drug dealers, lots!!!! but its worth a visit lots of rest bars and shops.
We ate at American Dinner for 3 nights as the food was that good and there was so much to choose from. Go right out of the hotel to the top of road then right again a 5 min walk and your there, try it it great.

The bar staff... daniel is a legend... very friendly
Rooms are spacious
Location is good...close to two nice beaches and the strip, and also just a cheap taxi ride from the old town
The coffee served by the pool bar was lovely
Free air conditioning and free sky tv
maid service was good
The bad
Constant egg smell in the room
Not enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel
The decor of the whole hotel is very dated
Lack of any entertainment during the day and quite dire at night too
Pool is quite small
Food is only served at the hotel between 11am and 3pm
Football is on constantly in the bar (suppose this is good if ur a bloke but I wouldve preferred big brother!!)

Submitted By: Mr P WoodwardThe rooms were clean, there is shower/bath, bidet, wash basin, double bedroom, we got a cot for the baby, plenty of drawers and hanging space, tv, air conditioning, sofa bed that folds out to fit one on top, one on pull out bed, microwave, fridge, cooker, dining table and chairs. There were 3 adults and 1 baby and we only paid around £700 in total for 1 week for the whole holiday. The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from "The Strip" which suited us fine as it's not too noisy. There are a few bars just up the road (Coyote Bar and Pasadenas) which all do breakfasts, meals and are cafes by day and bars by night.
There were quite a few families, some couples and a few older couples. Not much to do but we just wanted to sunbathe for a week so it suited us fine. Food and drink can be quite expensive so look around, you'll find one restaurant offering a meal at 6 euros and down the road it will be double at 12 euros. Bottle of WKD is 3.5 euros (about £2.90) similar to club prices in UK but local beer is cheap and most have it at 1 euro. Decent enough hotel if you are there for 1 week on the cheap.

Submitted By: Mrs T SheppardGot there early and was given our room straight away. Rooms were big and cleaned everyday but Sunday when they have to have a day off.
Pool area good and clean. All staff very helpful and pleasant.
Bar had all you need with a little entertainment but not too much especially if you have children.
Will go again.
" Never written a review like this... "
Submitted By: Miss Michelle DochertyIt offered the best of both worlds with the security and comfort of a hotel with Bar, snacks and reception, and the convenience of a very spacious apartment with great air conditioning, TV, all kitchen conveniences, and balcony.
The apartments and whole complex was kept immaculately keen with a very thorough daily maid service which was never intrusive. I feel I must pay special tribute to the ladies who provided this service as although they never spoke much English they were very warm and friendly individuals.
The pool area was ideal for all ages from 2 year olds to teens and beyond!
Thoroughly recommend these apartments, only minutes walk from beach and "the strip" where we ate out every breakfast and dinner, never had a bad meal, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE!!
Ok, rant over just felt I had to share!!
" The best thing about these apartments... "
Submitted By: Mrs S WaltonNow the downside, the staff were very unpleasant especially the bar staff, whatever you do don't ring his bell more than once to be served!
The pool area and all the outside areas are really dirty and dont expect a sunbed after 7.30 in the morning. There is a noisy road in front of apartments which was busy all the time.
the best beach to visit is to turn left out of complex and just 10 mins walk. The top end of the strip is the best, not as noisy as the bottom end.
We will visit Albufeira again but will not be going to these apartments, they were to dirty for our liking!

Submitted By: Ms K WilliamsWithin 40 minutes transfer we were at our apartment which on first impression was quite impressive, the reception area was clean and spacious and staff helpful. The bar area was great although a little pricey.
The rooms were clean, spacious and the beds really comfortable.
The only criticism I have is that the beds weren’t changed once during the week and the towels were a little old, in addition the maid service is a little sparse, but all in all would recommend.

Submitted By: Ms M BPool & garden areas were well maintained but sun loungers impossible to get as people kept booking them with towels! Bar staff were great but don’t dare ask for a drink after midnight. Entertainment was very poor, but the few nights it was on - great craic. Be warned if you are a smoker as a huge cigarette scam in 2 markets we went to- people handing over hundreds of euro only to end up with a box of rotten veg & stones.
Overall these apartments were okay to put your head down in, but little else appealed to myself & 38 other friends I traveled with.

Submitted By: Mr I MoseleyAs a family with a young child (3) the Santa Eulalia really delivered. The Kids pool was great - if not a little cold on a
May morning and the Kids club run by Direct Line was really good.
The rooms where fairly basic but very large with plenty of cupboard space and kept impeccably clean by the daily maid service. The balconies that overlooked the pool where small but where a real suntrap.
Moans - I wouldn’t exchange my Euro Travellers Cheques in the reception if I went again as the commission was a bit high and if you needed a Toaster you had to hire one. Also, an Army of Ants appear to have descended upon the Hotel whilst we were their.
Plus’s - The pool was lovely, Hotel Bar friendly and the location of the Hotel was just right - a very small walk from the strip / beach / supermarket. Top Boozer - Coyote’s. Top Food - Annabelle’s. Top Family Club - Coconuts (Absolutely Fantastic)
Overall a great budget holiday and one that we will revisit soon ...

Submitted By: Mr JH JonesSanta Eulalia was a nice hotel once we got inside, however the frontage could have been more appealing, and does not convey the well furnished, clean rooms nor friendly staff we found inside.
The village of Albufeira is lovely, and a 15 min taxi ride from the Montechiorri area where most of the hotels are and the famous ‘Strip’.
We would recommend the Santa Eulalia, and Albufeira in general and recommend zoo marine if you like dolphins and seals.

Weather was fantastic in March, and swimming pool area was very nice, apartments were only 5 minutes walk away from the beach, which was really nice.

Submitted By: Not SpecifiedSanta Eulalia Aparthotel is situated about 10 mins walk from the neon-saturated "strip" in Montechoro, if that's what you're into. Loads of Bars and restaurants all competing with each other...some SCREAMING at each other from across the street! Do check out the 'Portofino' Restaurant though. Mmmmm!
Further down the Hill from the strip is Praia Da Oura, a beautiful if busy beach.
From here I recommend the Cliff-top walk to Albufeira, the going gets a little hairy in places, but the whole experience is beautiful!
If you're staying in the Santa Eulalia the closest beach is Praia de Santa Eulalia, and is FAR quieter and the water isn't so rough although it IS a little colder!
As far as Restaurants go, you must visit a little place called 'Ze do Peixe Assado'. They have the freshest fish available and do an all-you-can-eat deal for 10 euro. AMAZING!
So no complaints about the Santa Wulalia Aparthotel, it's clean and efficient and close to everything you need when on Holiday....enjoy!

this is just a polite warning for holiday makers not to rent a deposit box as they are not safe and not guarenteed safe at all.
