They do a remarkable "winter warmer" break direct from their own website.
The hotel staff are very friendly and provide a great breakfast. The hotel is within easy walk of the "noisier" areas when we wanted entertainment.
The hotel is right opposite the Dublin open air bus tour stop, which is great way of seeing the city and listening to the comical driver comments.
Try the hotel you will not be disappointed with the value for money.

The hotel was great, we had a double room which was large and had a hairdryer, trouser press, iron etc and the staff were very pleasant. The bathroom was very clean and we were very impressed.
The only downside is the site of the hotel. It's a good 10-15 minute walk to O'Connell street (centre), but the tram stop is just 1 minute walk away. If you stay here for any length of time it’s a good idea to get a 7 day pass on these as it was only 10 euros for unlimited travel to the city centre. Considering its 4 euros for one return it’s a good deal!
Dublin itself is amazing - if you’ve never been here before and want to do all the tourist destinations, consider getting a Dublin Pass. (You can buy them off the visit Dublin website). They give you free entry to all the tourist destinations like the Guinness storehouse, Dublin castle, Dublin zoo, the viewing tower, the Jameson distillery and Croke park....just to name a few. They are worth the money if you’re going to be visiting these, and sometimes you can skip the queues! There are also various offers you get with the Dublin pass like free desert at some restaurants etc, as well as a free Dublin guide.
So overall, if you’re coming to Dublin, the Ashling hotel is a great choice as it is a lot cheaper then various ones in the city centre, and all you have to do to get into the heart of the city is hop on a tram!
Oh yes, and the breakfasts...gorgeous! good range of four or five cereals, fresh fruit, tea coffee, bread, buns, ham, cheese (for breakfast?...didn’t really get that), and my boyfriend informs me the cooked breakfast was great too, all the usual, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, tomatoes and of course the good old porridge.

We went to Dublin for the weekend and stayed at this hotel by choice. It has the TRAM 200 yards from the door into the city centre. Get a day pass 4.20 Euros if you intend to return to the hotel to change for the night time. Guinness Brewery is only a short walk away, but I did not enjoy it as it was all video screens and old machinery I wanted to be in among the real workings of the brewery. The hotel was very spacious and the staff friendly.
The breakfast would fill anyone and it was a buffet with plenty of choice. The only time we ate was one lunchtime so we could not judge the food other than breakfast. The Millennium Bar next door was great and bar staff very friendly, Thursday was the best night with a great band.
I would stay here again as it is that wee bit away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and quiet.

The Ashling hotel was a slightly outside of Dublin city Centre but then again it was significantly cheaper than the ones nearer town so it was worth the 10 min walk.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had booked a double room for 4nights and was pleasantly pleased. It was spacious and clean and came with everything you would need on your holiday TV, hair dryer, ironing press, kettle etc). Although we didn’t spend a great deal in the hotel I would definitely recommend it.
As for the flight there and back, its a different story. We flew with Ryan Air (and its true you get what you pay for), it was a slight inconvenience when the outbound flight was delayed by 30mins but this couldn’t be helped due to bad weather. However! When my partner and I arrived at Dublin airport we were unlucky enough to find that our luggage had been taken by some other passenger, and this caused all manner of problems.
Firstly, I felt the Ryan air staff were dismissive (I was obviously slightly upset as we had no clothes and this was an anniversary break!) They just assumed that the bag was left in Manchester and they weren't much help saying that they would have a look and it MAY be with us later that day. Luckily I probably would have left it at that if my partner hadn’t found a bag still on the conveyor belt (it turned out that someone had accidentally taken my bag by mistake). If my boyfriend hadn’t discovered this then Ryan Air would have been looking for my bag in the wrong city!
Thankfully, later on that evening the lady who had taken my bag (not Ryan Air) phoned me to make arrangements for me to pick it up! I would never fly Ryan Air again as not only did I incur extra costs (I had to pay to go and come back from the airport and for mobile phone costs whilst abroad) but an huge inconvenience.
Even though it was a bad start to the holiday thankfully due to a lovely hotel and an amazing city it turned out fantastically! Dublin is an amazing city! There’s lots to see (Guinness museum, temple bar etc) but the Dubliners made the holiday! incredibly friendly. There's hundreds of bars and restaurants to chose from and its true what they say "that Guinness is definitely better in Dublin!"

just returned from 5 day break in dublin booked through ryanair from durham teeside. flights were on time, hotel had a central location and was easy to find (findlater street) just off o,connol street.
hotel is just completing a major refurbishment the staff were friendly and helpful. room was excelent with all mod cons. ie television, tea making facilities even a ironing board and iron. 3 resturaunts with good selection of menus.
the location was great for the shopping and night life, just 10minute stroll to the temple bar area. overall this hotel was excelent and we would strongly recommned it
